Smooth and funky
The Prologue is great. I highly recommend others try it if you like mechs, xcom (without the 99% "hit chance missing 80% of the time), and other tactic games.
The only nitpick I have, which is true for almost every mech game, is the physics. The weight of the mech walking would sink into the jungle, mud, and even the farmland. I'd like to see land being disturbed, mechs slowing in difficult terrain, even sinking through meters of churned-up soil. But, as I said, this is for almost every mech game.
I agree, but the game is still in development. Hopefully, they can add more realistic physics before release.
it's indie dev dude i would rather they just make it terrain effect rather than with animation(so they can use more budget on mech design)
One thing that I liked more than I should have in Battletech was that you could walk through and fk up some of the scatter terrain. Most of my missions took at least three turns longer then they should as I would waste time walking through the wind turbines while verbally mocking Saint Greta of Scowl instead of scouting the game.

The Phoenix Point aiming system is very cool. I wish more games implemented it.
Also front mission remastered came out s few months Ago so i am happy to see more in that style
I can't wait for FM3 remaster. I still have my playstation disc of the OG. I used to have the soundtrack too and it was 3 CD's. I never understood why the soundtrack was bigger than the game. Compression I suppose?

All I want is a Mechcommander remake. I've been playing Battletech and mech-related games for close to 30 years now, but Fasa Interactive's Mechcommander was and still is my top 3 favorite. What a masterpiece that was.
I would suggest the " Rogue tech" MOD if you are looking for something with larger numbers.... Just watch out it will punish mistakes hard.

Well, considering the latest Battletech Kickstarter has been shipping for the past month, its a good time to be a mech lover!
I's still waiting for a Mech Sim game. I want the complexity, peripherals, immersion and realism of flight sims applied to mechs using a HOSAS setup. Where operating the mech actually feel like its a real machine, with all the complexities that one would have if it was real military hardware. All the dials, knobs, buttons, toggles, encoders, screens, all having functionality.
I immediately think about Patlabor for a Mecha Sim game. I mean first two movies are the most realistic thing I have ever seen. Because they really thought about what is where and how do arms and legs work with hydraulics and so on.

I saw Splattercat and Mech, and I just knew there was going to be a Splattergasm somewhere in the mix.
Man do I love well stylized character portraits, feels like they dropped a bunch of MGS characters straight into Front Mission. Strong visual design carries world building far more than a dozen cutscenes ever could for me.
As a House Marik Mechwarrior, I'm looking forward to this game. I really like the Mech designs, and over all look of the game...

Imagine if they got to use the Armored trooper Votoms mechs in this game, that series had an entire arch that was just ''space Vietnam with mechs'' lol.

Been wish listed for months already, but yes, this looks fantastic.
I do like when mech games base the guns off of real world fire arms. Imagine an over sized M3 grease gun chambered for the GAU 30mm cartridge.
Sorta why I like the old Star Wars shows.

This one looks pretty solid. Very excited for it. Somehow nothing quite touches Front Mission 3 for sound design, though. Careful and intentional use of audio clipping to make it sound like something is too big and loud for your ears to process it properly. The guns in this sound good, but they don't sound like guns the size of trucks.

Splat would make for a baller mech pilot.
The military drama story, reminiscent of battletech and good anime like fang of the sun dougram is what makes this interesting. The procedural stuff not so much. But this setting tone looks better than phantom brigade.

Despite the anime-styled mechs, this looks fantastic. It's no Battletech, but it looks well worth the time regardless.

Front Misha should have been remade in this style, not what was released as a remake.
Speaking of Front Mission, I was very upset they decided to step away from the turn based strategy. FM Evolved was a disappointment. They need to bring back the OG style

the game creator was sick fm not making turn based game anymore and some of the remake was lazy
what an epic fail of a hidden search reward. the game really doesn't seem to want you to explore much if that's all it's going to give you for far out corner exploration.

the game is way way too detailed for the vertex warping effect to fit in, especially since it's not affecting anything but the mechs, even other things that move, like the trees.
those are not epaulets, epaulets are decorative and not armor. if the game is calling them that it's silly.
There's homage and then there's ripped off entirely.

@@Escherichia2003 you know whats really funny: Most of the Guys gave the germans exercise ammo, cuz they have to document the use of the German ammo... The guys are allright, but they dont have enough equipment and its too way too burocratic to use anything.
