I do love these "studio tours" simply because I get to watch a couple of UA-camrs hanging out and having fun. Sure, there is a discussion about the gear and techniques, but really it's just a fun time. Purple power!
As an amateur in both woodworking and content creation, I really enjoyed this one. I liked hearing about the unscripted voiceovers with many takes. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
bro these videos are insanely funny i can not stop laughing sometimes. And btw i have like no interest in shooting video or taking pictures but my man's vibe, humour and his jokes are top notch! LOVE IT! Keep 'em coming
I recommend shading foil on those windows, it won't create shadows as harsh and it will still look nice and allow some light in or if you don't mind the look, milky foil on them
Not sure where Blacktail is based, but usually we use Pine for 2x framing (specifically, No. 2 Southern Pine). It's what you'll find at the major home improvements as well. I think Doug Fir is more for exposed timber, i.e. not 2x (which needs to be cheap), it's for larger members, often which are exposed.
For those who the Studio Titan rolling stand is way out of your budget: If you search for wheeled light stands you can find some from companies like Godox, Neewer, etc. that you can build a similar DIY setup by adding a few attachments.
2 of my favorite channels together. Thanks guys and I love the camera stand been looking to get myself one. If it can survive a workshop it can survive my studio. Thanks Again
I'm in hospital at the moment with a dislocated fractured ankle (thank you icy slope), and this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for cheering me up, as always.
I am so dissappointed with yt, 1 month already and i only get this now? I am fully subscribed and have all notifications on. I guess better late than never. Thanks Clay, been seeing you a couple of times in other videos though
Long time viewer of both channels. My clipboard says way too much fun was had making this video. As always interesting learning how shows are put together. More please.
19:00 I think Andrew Kramer was the first person making tutorials online that added conversation elements and humor in particular that made his videos such a standout, over and above his absolutely pro and efficient content overall
"You're a little weak. No one talks about Pine!" My painting teacher used to tell me that the western pine had a much finer woodgrain than the eastern pine making for a much better board and fram making material from the different growing conditions.
I know this might be a little different since its a podcast. But I would love you to check out H3 Podcast's studio, they run a pretty impressive live operation with a lot of tech involved
LOVE this collab! And that rig looks like the perfect solution. Could you share some information about where that awesome camera rig is from and which accessories are mounted? Couldn't find the answer in the description or comments.
@6:11, what was the great tool chest that Cam was pointing to? The tag looks to just say ball bearing. It would be nice of manufacturers had series names on their product....
Hahahah boomer sh*t. Don’t take that from this nerd, cam! Fun to see you guys geeking out about my two favorite things. If you’re looking for a new tour, Next time you’re in Portland, I have 2% the audience, 25% the shop, 50% the tech, and 100% more hair.
Nice shop tour. I watched on Nebula and have noticed that the last couple of Nebula videos have some sound issues. Like clipping or distortion. I don't hear it on UA-cam.
another highly entertaining video. Proving yet again Gerald doesn't need overly technical videos to get views. Great Job Gerald and keep up this awesome format!
Such a cool shop! That rolling tripod thingy is a great idea.
2 of my favorite sassy bald UA-camrs
@@adrien8613😂exactly!
Just wanna say how grateful I am for the metric conversions!
Whaaaat!? As a photographer AND woodworker this is a dream collaboration!
LOVE Cam's channel. Love your studio. Jealous.
I do love these "studio tours" simply because I get to watch a couple of UA-camrs hanging out and having fun. Sure, there is a discussion about the gear and techniques, but really it's just a fun time. Purple power!
Two of my worlds I did not see colliding, but I'm here for it!
Same! :)
SOO pumped for this one!!
As an amateur in both woodworking and content creation, I really enjoyed this one. I liked hearing about the unscripted voiceovers with many takes. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
Does anyone here not follow Cam?
I love Cam! So happy to see this tour. Love seeing the collaboration.
I hope everyone knows what a bow tie is!
The least expected collab! What a treat!
bro these videos are insanely funny i can not stop laughing sometimes. And btw i have like no interest in shooting video or taking pictures but my man's vibe, humour and his jokes are top notch! LOVE IT! Keep 'em coming
What a crossover. My woodworking and photography hobbies combined together.
A mind blowingly good episode! Thanks Guys!

Loved this Studio Tour! I've been a subscriber of Blacktail for a long time.
I love Cam's snark combined with admitting when he's actually wrong.

I did a thing deserves an episode based on how much effort he goes through for a 1 second gag.
I am neither a woodworker nor a videographer, but I religiously watch both your videos. I can’t believe you two somehow got together. A perfect match!
Fantastic interview and subject, love Cam's nature on camera
I NEED that tripod thing! It looks so fluid and quick and easy to use
Thanks for showcasing Cam and Blacktail Studio. My top two favorite creators.
YES! MY AUTISM CROSSOVER EPISODE HAS ARRIVED!
Two of my favorite UA-cam personalities. It's a pleasant surprise to see you both together! Thoroughly enjoy your videos. 🙂
For those who the Studio Titan rolling stand is way out of your budget: If you search for wheeled light stands you can find some from companies like Godox, Neewer, etc. that you can build a similar DIY setup by adding a few attachments.
Doctor, plumber, police man, pizza delivery and now even wood worker: Johnny Sins truly has no limits.
Finally!!!! Been waiting for this since the mention of it on the JerryRigEverything video!
2 of my favorite channels together. Thanks guys and I love the camera stand been looking to get myself one. If it can survive a workshop it can survive my studio. Thanks Again
It's so awesome to see this collaboration! Been a fan of blacktail for a long time!
I'm in hospital at the moment with a dislocated fractured ankle (thank you icy slope), and this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for cheering me up, as always.
im watching these 4 years ago to one hour ago, but they are so authentic from a creator point of view
Best studio tour ever. You and Cam are my favorite creators.
The Wet Bandits! I very much enjoyed this and I was full on belly laughing through the last segment!

I am so dissappointed with yt, 1 month already and i only get this now? I am fully subscribed and have all notifications on. I guess better late than never. Thanks Clay, been seeing you a couple of times in other videos though
What a crazy mashup being two on my favorite channels
The collab everyone was waiting for but didn't know was coming
Two of my favorite creators!!!!
Long time viewer of both channels. My clipboard says way too much fun was had making this video. As always interesting learning how shows are put together. More please.
Loved it! This is my new favorite video 🥰
I watch both of these guys often
I'm Gerald Undone and this is a standard glue up.
I watched the video about the difference in IS betwenn the A1 and the FX30 before this and now I can't unsee it :D
Just discovered bts some days ago and now he's here. Very nice!
Somehow everybody seems to know Blacktail Studios. Zack (jerryrigeverything) even had that little hammer. Love it
East Coast uses pine, west coast uses Doug fur!
Oh wow! I was not expecting this 😃
What a treat!
Scott the video guy was in one shot but he looked so happy 😂😂
Best one yet!
I saw the purple cable in Cams slow-mo safety video and my first thought was "Gerald!?!?" Now I know why!
Brilliant brilliant brilliant 👍👍
Best one so far
19:00 I think Andrew Kramer was the first person making tutorials online that added conversation elements and humor in particular that made his videos such a standout, over and above his absolutely pro and efficient content overall
I wish you would have put up a link to that one-stand rig… that’s pretty slick

one of the best tours 😂
Really awesome tripod stand
This is awesome. Also SPF for 2x4's means Spruce/Pine/Fir so they were both right ;)
I loved this one, so authentic and just funny! :-D I removed the like so I could like again 😀
Ohhh men, that was fantastic
LOVE this collab! And that rig looks like the perfect solution. Could you share some information about where that awesome camera rig is from and which accessories are mounted? Couldn't find the answer in the description or comments.
Awesome crossover!
Studio titan stand is from S.korea(kumkwang). It is very useful, very proud.
@6:11, what was the great tool chest that Cam was pointing to? The tag looks to just say ball bearing.
It would be nice of manufacturers had series names on their product....
Hahah these are always the best!!
1:01 u were literally the one that brought it up 😭
Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
The majority of the Eastern US was built using Southern Yellow Pine... Doug Fir is hard to come by over here (except Christmas Trees, lol)
It's not very often you see your two favourite people together.
Whoa I follow both of these channels!

@@BlacktailStudio hahaha trade?
WHOA WHAT THE MASHUP IS GOING ON HERE
Blacktail videos are cool
tighter tighter!
Looking forward to the “government wiener” blacktail studio video.
Loved this video and would like to see the uncut version of this studio inspection.
Nice shop tour. I watched on Nebula and have noticed that the last couple of Nebula videos have some sound issues. Like clipping or distortion. I don't hear it on UA-cam.

Down in FL 2x4 are pine. Hard to find Douglas fir anywhere in the south east
canon r5ii video, waiting for you to test the claimed 16+ stops 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can’t wait for the roast of canon R1😂
I love how there is a chapter called “goofing around” as if the whole video isn’t just one chapter 😂
I cant believe they dissed your purple light background.
@@startmaking1 haha. Good. Fewer people that uses purple, the better. 😂
@@WoodcraftBySuman I tried it and had quite a few complaints. I think they were your people protecting your brand.
@@startmaking1 kind of you to think I have an audience 😂
This is the most unexpected crossover of two of my favorite channels…
Maybe other people have the same kind of lack of focus in their hobbies.
You never ask a man how sharp his chisels are
What trip is he planning with those long lenses? Sounds like wildlife
Hi 👋
this guy looks more lex luthor than lex luthor
Damn, you got to touch Cams wood.
Aren't douglas firs part of the pine family?? 🤷♂ So what type of Pine trees produce "Pine" wood?
I’m naming my son Burl.
Ah, the bald McConaughey; is he wearing his shop flops? ;-)
the wet bandits 😂😂😂
at some point you should put out a compilation of random end-of-video clips all mixed together. 10 minutes of no context whiplash lol
"shoot in, pull out" usually its one or the other
👀
