Mate, I’d fallen off watching for a few months because life happens. I came back to this episode, and it feels like a new level. You have a mystery camera person shooting you and Torbs, and the editing is a quantum leap. Kudos and cheers.

Don't need aggressive tyres on the beach. But I agree about the zuk, was impressive
@@anguselmslie7783 I haven't been in sand, but the others had MT's. So the zuk is pretty impressive with those tires and stock height and that little engine compared with the other cars :))

I'm from Albany and the beautiful thing about Bornholm beach is it's never the same thing twice! I've been there solo a few times and blitzed it, and been there in conveys a few times and had nightmares getting out, that's the beauty in her! What makes it difficult is that there's almost NO option of a snatch recovery down there because it's hard enough moving one vehicle, let alone two! Definitely not somewhere anyone wants to go to solo for their first time. Good watching! 🍻🎣 p.s it's pronounced Born-home 🤘

Not a west Aussie until you've done Bornholm. Went down to 3psi in a Jimny once, 5psi didn't quite work.
The little Zook sounding like a rally car made my day! Awesome video as always.

We live just around the corner from Bornholm. It's all about tire pressure. We did it in a stock ish Hilux. Took us 3 goes to get back up the hill haha
8 psi beach some call it
Surely in a "stock vehicle" at 10psi or less your getting stuck, with the track chopped up and rutted, that "stock" hilux will be dragging its front bash plates up the hill, cant be enough ground clearance to avoid all the ruts ect.
@@krump7429 Didn't have a bash plate. Only upgrades I had at the time were k02 all terrains and cheap Aldi rip off max tracks. No suspension upgrades or anything of the like.
@@krump7429 I did it in a stock mistubishi challenger with highway tyres at 6psi.

Herring is best cooked over char oils like tailor. It’s a super oily fish and brings out the flavour cooking like this

Single digit air pressure is needed alot down around those ways. Normally due to others making holes.

Bornholm is a rite of passage in the Albany area. Last I heard the farmer charges a grand to pull you out with his tractor too, and he doesn't jump on his tractor until he has the cash in hand. Make sure you or your buddies know what you're doing when you head down there

Love this beach. Been down many a times with mates and solo. Get the tires down to 12psi straight away at the top of the hill, or ‘pump up spot’ and make your way down. You also went at an easier time of year. Middle of the summer the track turns to powder and catches out a lot of people. Can’t make a track up the hill.
One of the better episodes I've seen in a long time.. lots of fun had by you both and your new friends there. A definite reason for maxtrax or some type of recovery board, and great to see you helping out the stranded, others need to take heed of this.

I have never set a foot in Australia, yet I know of the treacherous sands at Fraser Island and Bornholm, some day mates, some day I'll attempt to do some driving down there. All the best from Chile!
Great vid. What still genuinely amazes me is a few years back in a stock TD42 NA GQ we went down the quad track, then got out the same way with no struggle, and towed out mate in his BT50 up it. Still amazes me
Best Episode of Ronny ever. Just watched this as I as an European bought a Triton and learn before I go: Buy 700 kg of MaxTrax, lower your tyre pressure to 6 atoms per wheel & have fun.

It's actually just a giant Maxtrax advertisment.
With the CORRECT tyre pressure you don't need Maxtraxs. With 10-12psi (and careful driving) vehicles will "sail through" that sand!
@@ZenMinus That's so weird that Xoverland, TheRoadChooseME and Ronny Dahl all have wheeled all over the world yet carry and use Maxtrax. Clearly they can't seem to get their tire pressures CORRECT either.
@@ZenMinus Tyre pressure will help a lot with not getting stuck, but once you ARE stuck, recovery tracks will go a LONG way to getting you unstuck.

i run those same wheels on my rangey with 225 75 16 bfg mud terrains , they dont leak so far. i run them most of the time off road at 15 psi . i am really impressed by the setup

Yeah almost lost my new vehicle down there when I listened to someone I shouldn't have.
Sand was like quicksand and if I hadn't had 4 Maxtrax we wouldn't have got out.
Surprising the amount of people who can't see the dangers or who don't carry any recovery/safety gear whatsoever.
Australia kills people every year who don't think but they keep lining up for another crack at it.
