Mate, I’d fallen off watching for a few months because life happens. I came back to this episode, and it feels like a new level. You have a mystery camera person shooting you and Torbs, and the editing is a quantum leap. Kudos and cheers.
Considering what they drive, it's far more likely I'll come across them stuck than the other way around. I'll leave them exactly how they are to & I would hope they would do the same for me. It wouldn't be a good day for them if they decided to stop & try being 70 series heros around me. Not a good day at all
You do realize that how a person behaves on camera is no indication of how they are when the camera is off right? The stories getting around about these two are plentiful & do not portray them in the way they act on camera. Arrogant, abusive diva is how I usually hear Ronny referred to. Don't believe what you see on camera for one second. It's acting
Got to love the overloaded 70's full of noise & wheel spinning while the old 4.2 Patrol walks up quietly like it was nothing. I think there's something in that for everyone :-))
Ronny great new style! My daughter 4yrs old now loves the Chanel after taking her 4 wheeling for the first time the other day . You blokes are legends!!!!
I shit you not, I clicked on this video to see how the "toughest beach in Australia" stacked up to Bornholm. Turns out it is Bornholm haha! Love watching Perthies attempt this track
The new style is great :) keep'em comming! PS. I cannot point that, that guy with the stock zuk got out with just max straps :)) and almost highway tires :))
@@anguselmslie7783 I haven't been in sand, but the others had MT's. So the zuk is pretty impressive with those tires and stock height and that little engine compared with the other cars :))
Hi, Ronny Dahl. Don't take any notice of me, Mate. I only lived down around there for 10 years and the locals all pronounced it, ' Born home". Good video and a well deserved rating. Thanks for the memories. Just my 0.02. You all have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
I hadn’t watched your channel for about 6 month (not sure why) but just clicked on this episode and it’s great. More with you and Torbs like this please
That Suzy bouncing of the limiter. Classic There’s a track and beach section south of s bend before Geraldton Super boggy also Herring is best cooked over char oils like tailor. It’s a super oily fish and brings out the flavour cooking like this
Not sure how Torbs missed how handy the sunglasses on his head would've been up that hill, haha. Great vid, I know you guys are wrecked from the recoveries but it was great to see the kind of folk and vehicles you guys see out and about
Been watching UA-cam video's for ten years now, and it's finally happened... I fire up my PC every Saturday night specifically to watch Ronny's latest video, like I'm tuning into a favourite TV show.
Awesome video. I really enjoy all of your videos. I’m so jealous of all of the beautiful beaches you guys have in Australia. I just started off-roading and am learning so much from you. Thank you!
Loving it. Couldn't predict where the story was going, so was engaged till the end. I liked the unexpected story dimension, and when you and Torbs' helped out those guys, it really gave the story a "feel good" element.
I'm from Albany and the beautiful thing about Bornholm beach is it's never the same thing twice! I've been there solo a few times and blitzed it, and been there in conveys a few times and had nightmares getting out, that's the beauty in her! What makes it difficult is that there's almost NO option of a snatch recovery down there because it's hard enough moving one vehicle, let alone two! Definitely not somewhere anyone wants to go to solo for their first time. Good watching! 🍻🎣 p.s it's pronounced Born-home 🤘
Love this beach. Been down many a times with mates and solo. Get the tires down to 12psi straight away at the top of the hill, or ‘pump up spot’ and make your way down. You also went at an easier time of year. Middle of the summer the track turns to powder and catches out a lot of people. Can’t make a track up the hill.
Great vid. What still genuinely amazes me is a few years back in a stock TD42 NA GQ we went down the quad track, then got out the same way with no struggle, and towed out mate in his BT50 up it. Still amazes me
We live just around the corner from Bornholm. It's all about tire pressure. We did it in a stock ish Hilux. Took us 3 goes to get back up the hill haha
Surely in a "stock vehicle" at 10psi or less your getting stuck, with the track chopped up and rutted, that "stock" hilux will be dragging its front bash plates up the hill, cant be enough ground clearance to avoid all the ruts ect.
@@krump7429 Didn't have a bash plate. Only upgrades I had at the time were k02 all terrains and cheap Aldi rip off max tracks. No suspension upgrades or anything of the like.
Single digit air pressure is needed alot down around those ways. Normally due to others making holes. How's that surf though!!!!! Bloody beautiful!!. Great effort once again boys'
Really enjoyed the new format, not that the usual is bad. I had never seen sands that gnarly. Out on South Padre Island, TX. If you don’t have a choice but to head away from civilization during high tide going north, you are faced with nothing but deep sand for miles along the water line. This beach you all went to was next level soft.
Bornholm is a rite of passage in the Albany area. Last I heard the farmer charges a grand to pull you out with his tractor too, and he doesn't jump on his tractor until he has the cash in hand. Make sure you or your buddies know what you're doing when you head down there
I really don't understand the fuss on this beach... I went down there solo (for a client project) in my not all that modified MN Triton (yeah, yeah I know), got in and out with zero issues, didn't see any other vehicles there at the time either. I just let my tyres down and was able to get back up just fine. To be fair though, I was running about 8PSI all around and had very little weight in tray, just my swag, some recovery tracks, an esky with food & water and my camera gear. The track wasn't all that torn up either, maybe just a quiet time of year when I did it.
Best Episode of Ronny ever. Just watched this as I as an European bought a Triton and learn before I go: Buy 700 kg of MaxTrax, lower your tyre pressure to 6 atoms per wheel & have fun.
One of the better episodes I've seen in a long time.. lots of fun had by you both and your new friends there. A definite reason for maxtrax or some type of recovery board, and great to see you helping out the stranded, others need to take heed of this.
I have never set a foot in Australia, yet I know of the treacherous sands at Fraser Island and Bornholm, some day mates, some day I'll attempt to do some driving down there. All the best from Chile!
So happy to see you and Torbs out on another adventure! Only complaint is it ended!! 😃. Ronny - love the Covid hair look with the glasses and headband 😍. ❤️🐞
I've got nothing to compare this to personally, except Fraser Island (I've lived a very sheltered life.) Ngkala rocks at its worst is a new kind of hell for 4wd's. Looks like you guys have found another one. Nice work on the assist and great video. Keep 'em coming!
She's a bit cut up from when I use to do it 30 years ago, but it was a challenge in my 2H diesel landcruiser with Roadgrippers on down to 2psi, then my 2.8Litre hilux. Got nearly to the top once on the up track with some city slicker coming down it so I had to reverse all the way back down. Sometimes we would have to wait for car to cool down after several attempts.
Mate, I’d fallen off watching for a few months because life happens. I came back to this episode, and it feels like a new level. You have a mystery camera person shooting you and Torbs, and the editing is a quantum leap. Kudos and cheers.
Spot on. I was just thinking the same thing. They have really upped the quality of content and filming.
haha yeah i was trying rly hard to figure out the deal with the camera man
15:25 for the shadow of the enormous DSLR gimbal rig. Certainly adds to the quality of the end result!
Agreed! Needed this :)))
Imagine getting stuck and Ronny Dahl just turns up out of the blue. Ha!
Hahaha fuck yeah I know right.
Considering what they drive, it's far more likely I'll come across them stuck than the other way around. I'll leave them exactly how they are to & I would hope they would do the same for me. It wouldn't be a good day for them if they decided to stop & try being 70 series heros around me. Not a good day at all
Yeah sure he'll help you to get out, but you'll be sure that everything will end up on UA-cam haha
Ronny and Torbs, your willingness to provide service to others is impressive. The world needs more people like you!
Absolute legends! Everyone needs to learn your positive outlook and helping others. It will all come around tenfold for you fellas. Great video!
Love how Ron and Torbs are down to earth and arent full of themselves like some other offroad channels esp those tools on overlandX

Luke Debrincat i know :) i have a swb vitara preparred for offroad.
Here I am watching this in February 2022. Really loved it and all the recovery action. So entertaining and awesome to watch.
That engine noise is fantastic.
It sounds like a rallye car
The sound of the Suzuki banging limiter or the 79? ;)
Lachie Pascale I was referring to the Suzuki
Go the Zuke
Laughed listening to the Zuke getting hammered. Great sound.
What an epic trip gents! Top notch points for all the recovery efforts on the day, you lads are kings!
Another from South Africa... Awesome trip guys, noting the Tyre pressure down on the beach and importance of max track's... The more the merrier 😁
Onya Ronny and Torbs for helping the other crew off the beach great content.
