You wouldn't recognize zinc? No, it's not a valuable metal. Any time you pick something metal up, and it seems thicker than it needs to be, and it feels kinda cheap, it's often zinc. If you hear of something crappy made of "pot metal" that's mostly zinc. You only make things out of zinc when you want to be able to say "metal construction" but you don't want to actually put any money into materials. 3:20 And that, splattercat, is one of the main reasons the veil between worlds is as secure as it is. Can you imagine the sheer quantity of nagging, micromanaging, helicopter grandparenting, practical jokes, etc and etc? There'd be precious little room to think our own thoughts and make our own choices. We definitely get a lot of help, but it's usually very subtle and unobtrusive. Or we're too ungrateful and dense to notice. A bit of both, really.
I know Splattercat doesn't do lps, but I'd watch the heck out of this one! The haunted oogaloo of the game and his dry pragmatism are such a fun combo!
Hell yeah. My guy knows how to make a good egg sammie. Gotta have the mayo. I shape mine into a bun sized shape before it starts to cook through and let it steam on low heat with the lid on. Little garlic, onion, and turmeric powder before tossing in the eggs. Tiny pinch of sage powder. Throw a slice of cheese on top just before turning the heat off to let it melt over the top. Epic breakfast. If I just do a frittata (technical term) I'll heat up some tomato beans and serve those on the side. Surprisingly, tomato / pork n beans are great with eggs.
If you have cast iron or NON stick pans and want to have eggs that will blow your mind. Put shredded medium or hot cheddar in a pan and cook it till the bottom is crisp. Make a cone or if you have one that is tall enough for you to wrap the cheese around and then put that into an empty glass to cool. Now beet up some eggs and veggies and meet and spices as if you're making a scramble then poor that off into the cone. You can eat it on the go and its Soo Goood! I am going to get this game as soon as I can because it looks like the Dev needs funding and Wow does, he deserve it.
Having lived in upstate New York, I can confirm that this game is very accurate. I knew at least three people eaten by the vengeful spirits in their homes.
Those tomatoes are called heirloom tomatoes. They have a better flavor than most of what you buy at the store. Heirloom tomatoes aren't genetically modified, and the seeds come from farmers who personally harvest them based on certain qualities like taste. They are pollinated naturally by birds, the wind, or by hand (not by some weird scientific process like modern tomatoes), but heirloom tomatoes typically don't look very good. They're not as red and probably look kind of weird to modern people. Heirloom tomatoes are what our ancestors would have been more familiar with.

I was not expecting a game that punished those in the low socio-economic prosperity via ghost hauntings as a game genre but It seems interesting.
Wow this game is such a mood, atmosphere wise anyway
We're on the same wavelength, it's been my fantasy since forever to just be an annoying ghost and haunt people when I die.
First two and a half minutes, and I'm jealous of this guy.
After that...
I hope you do a full play through of this when it comes out, that would be great to watch!
He doesn't do playthroughs on youtube
Dear Esther farming sim... the face in the rear view mirror looked pretty happy to me like "dude!".

It was always like this. Why do you think a majority of ancient Roman statues are in the similar styles?

11:40 Should have saved up some more to buy the boneless chicken coop. It has pistons that tilt the corners of the coop to roll the boneless chickens around and get them some exercise.
The cat turning up reminds me of the Neil Gaiman short story The Price.
"So I bought the farm." If that isn't some great foreshadowing, lol, I don't what is.
"Let that deer do what it's gunna do" truer words never spoken, I've had some close calls with deer while biking
Splatt putting all his eggs in one basket 18:31
Is anyone else super surprised that nobody was either hanging or cowering miserably in one of the pens in the barn?
Possibly that's being kept for one of the nights; rather than the introduction.
My heart rate has never been so high watching a farm sim. Hope you play more of this.
I'm waayyy too much of a scaredy cat to play this myself lmao (nearly shat myself at the scarecrow bit) so I'll definitely come back around if you decide to play this fully when it releases!
Splattercat: "Why did we move here without a gun bro?"
Game: Set in Upstate New York.
yeah. no thats is udder terrifying. im good. I was scared just watching you. heaven forbid I was actually playing. Thanks for doing this one splat.
Unfertilized Eggs aren't chicken children.
They are chicken periods.
My then like 4 year old daughter asked my wife one morning "can I eat the undead?" for breakfast. Confirming that's what she heard, my wife was confused, which made my daughter reconsider and change it to "can I eat the unborn?"
She meant eggs lol
@@michaelsorensen7567😮what!? 😂 I guess it makes sense but dang
So much more delicious😂
eh....does that mean humans lay eggs? just once a month instead of once a day?
@@Melissa-wx4lu Huh, kinda?
But technically no. That is just a egg cell:
"An egg is an organic vessel grown by an animal to carry a possibly fertilized egg cell (a zygote) and to incubate from it an embryo within the egg until the embryo has become an animal fetus that can survive on its own, at which point the animal hatches."
Just what I needed, a new Splat Cat vid!
As a former resident of Upstate NY, I applaud the accuracy of this documentary game.
It's not bad when used in a corrosion inhibiting coating for steel though.
Telling me you were shocked to find out the going rate on the chopped red wood, and then not telling me. You have ruined my life; I am incomplete.
According to Google, an average-sized old-growth redwood tree would sell for around $10,000... wow!
@@SqueakingLion Wow! You are a legend! Who would have imagined. That is remarkable.
@@SqueakingLion seems kinda low only because there aren't that many old growth redwoods in existence.
and i'm fairly sure they are protected in most places.
This does give me Voices of the Void vibes, a lonely horror game about mundane work in the middle of nowhere. Curious to see what it's like on release.
I like your scrambled egg idea but here’s my base for scrambled eggs. Dash of Worcestershire sauce, pinch of basil and oregano, a couple drips of Tabasco Scorpion sauce, salt and black pepper.
Now those are scrambled eggs to start your day with.
Are you making bloody Mary with eggs? :)
wait wut, they've put trinidad scorpion in tabasco sauce? how long has this been available and why haven't i been notified!!!?
@@DerMacko Mate, it's amazing. Most flavoursome hot sauce I've ever come across.
I would enjoy a Splatty Let's Play of this.
Anyone else yelling in this video: "GO THE F*(k TO BED!", "GET IN THE F(&ING HOUSE!", and "DO THE F'ING TO DO LIST!"
Huh. Well that's ...
A) Interesting
B) Different
C) Fucked up
Wishlisted!
Ditto! LOL. :)
Ayy! This looks very interesting, & I'm not one to play spooky games because they don't make me feel anything, & I also hardly ever play farming sims, but the combination of the two coupled with the atmosphere this game is exuding has me interested in this title. Good looking out, Splat!
As someone who grew up near Albany, the upstate new York mention was surprising 😅
Steamed hams?
But "Is it accurate?" is the real question. 😁
This actually looks really fun. I had goosebumps at one point. Wishlisted.
Plot twist: he figuratively "bought the farm" on the road after that missed exit
Thanks for the Home Improvement ref at 26 minutes Splatts
This guy is hilarious! I didn't plan on watching the whole video, but I did. That STALKER reference and accent switch cracked me up 😄
So... a farming game that has good graphics, with a story and some horror stuff in there? that's new
The game looks so good! Already wishlisted but your contents just grwat to watch
Man, your views/sub number is pretty impressive dude. Shows you have a dedicated audience. Good stuff.
Love that you just smack the ground with the rake to plant tomatoes.
I know Splattercat doesn't do lps, but I'd watch the heck out of this one! The haunted oogaloo of the game and his dry pragmatism are such a fun combo!
Your discomfort playing this was very entertaining.
This is a genuinely cool concept
this has to be the most hilarious clip you've done yet Splat. love it!
Splattercat going to bed with the front door wide open is just phsyco.
Chickens will usually return to their roost, the pens are usually to help protect them not help trap them.
"Are there rattlesnakes in new york?"
Well we do have a place called Rattlesnake hill over here in western new york....so....y'know.
Wow. I can’t WAIT to play this.
The instant you said you were from California, I became unable to ignore how many times in a sentence you say “dude” 😂
thanks Splatt, I didn't need to sleep tonight anyway.
You should review "Suit for Hire" That game needs more recognition. John Wick + Hotline Miami + Midnight Fight Express
Zink Stalker Wolfs and HOA Ghosts - A must Play Game if I ever saw one! Seriously though looks good.
I wouldn't consider myself an evil spirit. Mischievous as hell sure, but not evil.
Ah, the gigantic white capped mountains of upstate New York...
I really like how there's a cat, though.
What an interesting game concept. Gonna keep my eye on this one.
Lol I swear I spent two minutes yelling at you to close the door 😂 this game looks great, thanks for sharing!
this looks really cool! Thanks for sharing Splatt
"We're never going in that room again. That room is lost to us".
So happy you played this! I tried, but even on the lowest graphics, my potato of a PC was lagging so badly it wasn't worth it. Guess I'll have to watch you when thus comes out! 😂
Oh, I'm keeping this game on the radar! This looks GOOOOOD!
Realistically a chicken coop up against the house is the worst placement I could think of lol. Chickens stink and they’re loud af.
This is a really cool twist to a farming sim. I really dig it.
The moment I saw the title, I jumped with joy to see our boi Splatt play this !!!
