Wow, the coloring you've got going on is gorgeous! The earrings, lip color, nails, hair...so perfect for the seasonal transition, and beautiful on you! Thanks for another great video!
I bought that Guerlain foundation 3 years ago when traveling to Greece for the summer and forgot my foundation and bought this duty free at the airport. It was amazing and after my trip used it for only special occasions I got complemented all the time just made my skin look natural. I've been hesitant to repurchase but you have sparked my mind on it and just might need to buy again. guys this is an amazing foundation!
I absolutely love your channel! By far my favorite on UA-cam. I love how honest your reviews are.
Yay! I love your GAW series. I haven't worn foundation for years but I'm starting to look around at different formulas so this video is really helpful. Btw-your hair is looking amazing lately!
Finally!!! LOL I've been waiting for another G.A.W video. I enjoy these. Thanks
this is my favorite series. please continue to do more GAW!
The Lingerie de Peau is also my HG, color match is always perfect, it lasts all day. LOVE!!
I stumbled upon the Guerlin foundation 3 years ago. The rep was at Sephora and I was looking for new foundation. Ive been hooked ever since! Skin looks flawless! Well worth every penny!
After waiting forever, I finally picked up the CG Face Lift Affect foundation per your recommendation, and I was so surprised at how long it lasted! It wore on me all day, and definitely worked well for my dry skin. Love it!
I need the fab pop lipstick! It's officially on my shopping list. I love your "look" today. Stunning!
I am so happy to have found your channel! I am a new subscriber and I've been watching ur videos non stop :) your genuine and sincere and a pure joy to watch! Thank you so much for being you! Xo
LOVE this video, So glad to have found you! I'm a 42 y/o GAW that loves make up, but only really know the basics thank you so much!
So happy to see a GAW video! U look so pretty, the color of those earrings look beautiful against your skintone. The Bourjois Healthy Mix, you recommended to me & I really like it, I just have a hard time finding my shade. Nars Sheer glow is my favorite foundation along with LM loose mineral powder, with those 2, I don't even try any others. Drugstore foundations don't work for me. The Guerlain sounds just beautiful. Thanks for sharing this with us, enjoyed seeing another GAW.
Love ur GAW series, keep up the good work.
Love your choices!!! And LOVE your earrings! So beautiful 🌼
Hi! I though you had forgotten about the GAW series! Glad to see you back! :-)
Marnie your hair and makeup look perfect in this video- very pretty! My favorite foundation is Chanel Vitalumeire Aqua hands down but I just bought Too Faced Born this Way and I'm loving it. Flawless finish and long lasting. I've got to try the Guerlain and the IT CC cream...
Great video! I recently got the guerlain lingerie foundation due to all of your recommendations!!! I love it!!!!Thanks for all of your honest reviews!!!
Hooray for G.A.W.!!! My fave CC Cream is Clinique's Moisture Surge SPF 30 in Light. It's quick to apply w/fingers, good coverage & dewy especially if you hv dry skin (great for winter months). My skintone is fair w/light freckles (neutral w/pink undertones) & normal most of the year except in winter - normal to dry. I hv used Chanel's VitaLumiere Aqua in Beige Rose 12 in the past. Love it. Makes my 64 yr old skin glow. Been using
Shiseido's Radiant Lifting Foundation in 120 Natural Light Ivory which is okay. I am in love w/Guerlain. The SA at Nordstrom Guerlain counter gave me tons of samples. I bought the Terracotta Healty Glow Foundation in Blonde. It goes on like silk. I can also wear the Nude shade which is lighter. It does not hv SPF in it. Been trying samples of Lingerie De Peau BB in 3 Natural & like it, too. For days when I need something quick &
for a short time, I use Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector SPF 43. I know that my faves are not drugstore anymore. Been taking better care of my skin as I have aged. Over 4 yrs ago I started to watch YT & got the itch to have fun w/makeup. I am careful to buy what I need for a casual lifestyle. Most importantly for G.A.W. is learning the techniques of applying makeup. YT videos, like yours, have helped me tremendously. Thank you, dear Marnie. All the best, Barbara, NYC xoxo
+boo3151 Thanks Barbara-that was really helpful to have you list all your favorite foundations. I need to check out a few of those!
Your hair looks awesome!!!
So glad you did this Marnie. I have tried a lot of these foundations on your recommendations and you are spot on describing how they look etc. I am looking for a new high end and going to try the Guerlain' Lingerie de Peau' .
Love YSL Le TeinteTouche Eclat illuminating foundation. I am currently wearing shade B30. I also like IT cc cream in either fair or light depending on the time of year, lately I have been loving Tarte's Amazonia clay bb tinted moisturizer in ivory. Love to see more GAW videos! Thanks Marnie!
Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough reviews!
Just picked up the Lingerie and it's so beautiful! The lightest shade is a tad dark on me, so I mix a bit. I am 35 and starting to get lots of fine lines, this does not settle in them at all and has the most beautiful finish! Love your videos like this that is targeted at "older" skin!
Your hair looks amazing!
Great review...I've missed this series but as you said most of your videos are geared for GAW anyways!! I have oily skin and have trouble with foundations staying on! My holy grail is the Perricone MD no foundation foundation serum. Love that stuff. Stays all day and stays matte. Light coverage but that works for me! Great video as usual Marnie!!!!
A few months ago I made the leap and finally ordered the Lingerie de Peau because of your consistent raves - And, I Love It! I waited so long because I was going to be guessing the color. The color turned out to be perfect, - beautiful and natural looking. And, it feels so good and light, and wears so well. Luminous Silk is also beautiful but is a bit heavier on the skin and the finish is a little different. Though I still wear my other foundations on occasion, in order not to waste them, I would rather choose to only wear Lingerie de Peau. Yet again, Thank you so much for recommending another product that I may not have found on my own.
Can't wait to hear your impressions of The Cult Beauty Box. I impulsively ordered it and am having buyer's remorse as I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. Keeping fingers crossed that it will have some products that work well for me.
+Diane Milligan I have found about 3 amazing products from the first box, so I know it was worth it. Hoping to have at least the same success with box #2!
I have oily skin and I use the It Cosmetics CC cream every day. I love it! Plus it's good for your skin...can't go wrong.
I'm 51 with dry skin and the IT CC, CG 4 in 1, CG Face lift effect, Nars Sheer Glow and the MUFE are my favorites so far. I have not tried the LD. We seem to like similar foundations. I think I will give it a try. Definitely going to get color matched for that bad boy! Diana xo
LOVE Your picks!!!!!!! THE BEST!
Totally agree with you on the IT cc cream! Holy grail! With the beauty blender. xo
You've convinced me! I am definitely going to buy your holy grail Guerlain foundation next! Stacie xo
+Makeup Obsessed Mom You have to let me know what you think!!
+Marnie Goldberg +Marnie Goldberg Hi i watched your bourjois foundation guide recently and I really want to buy this type of foundation. However, I don't know whether the healthy mix foundation or the 123 perfect would be best for my skin, and was wondering if you could help recommend one? MY skin is the oily type affecting most of the T-zone but more my nose than forehead and chin (although they can be a nit oily). I feel my skin is less oily than what it was in the past but if I change my face wash my skin does go oily again. Although, I do have dry skin around my mouth and sometimes flaky skin in between my eyebrows. The biggest problem for me is a foundation that can cover my spots, they are always red and scabby and very dried skin on the surface. I have been using the L'Oreal Paris infallible matte foundation but by the end of the day or after a few hours, the foundation patches up and gets 'stuck' on the dry skin, and it looses its color making them appear slightly orange. I really need a foundation that can help my dry patches and spots, keeping them covered and non flaky, but also one that can sit and last all day on my oily skin. I feel that my foundation does bunch up and go patchy on my oily skin (so much so that I can spread it out again!) and I really need a foundation that can last! I am at school all day and I need one with staying power and one that helps the problems above. Which bourjois foundation would you recommend? Thank you so much for your time, effort and cooperation and love to hear your response.
I am a GAW too heyyy lol, love Covergirl Outlast Foundation too, will have to try some of these others you mentioned, love your videos ♡
I'm on my 10th year of wearing nothing other than bareMinerals original foundation! My skin has been through many changes in that time frame. I've even had a complete hysterectomy in my late 20's without hormone replacement therapy, which means lots of hot flashes. This makeup is an all day wear, no touch ups, ever. I get many compliments on my flawless skin, not my flawless makeup. I try to explain that my skin isn't flawless it's just the foundation. It's the only foundation for my daughters too. There isn't one product out there which works for everyone. I will definitely suggest your choices to my friends who haven't found their Holy Grail foundation yet. I think your personal makeup choices are polished and well executed. Always looking gorgeous!!!
I think I'm going to give the Nars foundation a try. Sounds nice.
We have a lot of the same favorites for foundations! I LOVE the Guerlain one, but the shade selection could be better! But I agree, it glides on and looks beautiful!
Did not know that Bourjois is the parent company of Chanel! Never actually tried anything from there and it's in every drugstore and even some supermarkets over here in the UK! Thanks for the tip! x
Hi Marnie. Thank you so much for this video. I'm looking for a new foundation. This was very helpful xxxx
Thanks Marnie for another great installment in the G.A.W. series. Have you tried the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick? I have super dry skin and it's my HG hands down.
+T Zellis - Shedwin I haven't-it's on my list of things to try!
Oh and I'm so getting the Guerlain! already ordered a sample...
Marnie, you look so lovely! Love the hair, looks so so blonde! Love those G.A.W videos even if im not a gaw ahah!
Some of your favorites work for me and some don't. Its wonderful we have such a variety of foundations to try and use. m
I absolutely Love It Cosmetics CC Cream, and like you I have dry skin, However, I Must put some type of moisturizer before I apply it....Not right after, but after a while it had a chance to sink in. If my skin is too dry or not moisturized at all, it seems thick and dry and it doesn't blend as nicely. My favorite way to apply it, is to first dot it on the skin rub in a little, then lightly blend it with a beauty blender. I so agree it is great for a day outside in the summer because it has sunscreen and lasts a long time :)
Girl, you should try the new Ultra HD foundation!
It is amazing!!!! The Guerlain was my holygrail until the new MUFE Ultra :)
I love love the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, even more than Armani Luminous Silk Foundation I have combination to oily skin. I like the finish and the shade, that is right for me.
xo, Janice
Yay for GAW videos! These are my favorite videos! Thanks for the recommendations! Love your nails! What color are you wearing? Is it Zoya?
It looks like Charlie from zoya.
+Maggie Benav *charli
It's Zoya Charli
I love the Guerlain foundation...I've only had a sample of it..I wore it to work and I'd look in the dreaded bathroom mirror with good lighting...and it seems to be the only foundation that looks good after hours of wear. I've been experimenting with Dr Jart. Disappore? and been wearing by Terry foundation over it and it does not look as good as Guerlain...I also love the it cosmetic cc cream..my favorite for a quick trip...get ready quick..love the spf 50. I've tried every foundation at the store and Guerlain is by far just the best...they do foundation right. Great video...thanks
I recently discovered the Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation. I really enjoy wearing it because it covers well, but you don't feel like you are wearing make-up. I put the Clinique Super City Block spf 40 on first then the stick foundation. I always enjoy hearing about the favorites because I am always interested in what others are wearing and enjoying.
You look gorgeous and very glowy in this video! Can you please do a tutorial on your eye look today? I have a bunch of the LM caviar sticks but I'm never really sure what to do with them. 😆
Love your reviews. so honest
for OILY skin- I find that priming with the Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer (I buy the travel size- it lasts forever) and then using the L'oreal Infallible Pro- Matte foundation. I'm as oily as it gets and somehow these 2 together work wonders.
Really great video thanks for the helpful info!!
Very helpful. Great video. Thank you.
Hi! GA Luminous silk has a gorgeous finish. I woul put it in the light-medium to medium category. That's my daily finish foundation. When I want to look more polished, I use the Chanel VA, during the winter and YSL Serum foundation during the summer.I have the Guerlain but my skin is currently to dark to give it a fair trial.
IT CC++ is also available on Beautylish! Love it!!
IT Cosmetics CC Cream is the best also love the Illuminating one as well gives an amazing glow 😀
+Gabs Av I love it as well, but I've heard, but never tried myself that the Illuninating one is too much for mature skin. Would you recommend mixing the two together???
I wouldn't go that far. Just powder the areas that you don't want to be too glowy.
hey Marnie: I have dry skin too. That's why I love your recommendations. I have a slight oily t zone, my skin has changed as I've gotten older. I use the Colleen extreme recovery cream under the IT cosmetics CC cream. It doesn't move on me and my skin will start feeling dry later in the day. After menopause skin gets dryer. Women have so much fun! LOL! Love the foundation video, thanks.
Do a review of the Clarins!!! I've been wanting to try that one too!
Thanks for this video. I was looking for a new foundation.
Great vid!
I have fallen in love with the It Cosmetics CC Cream as well. Do you put it under your eyes and over your lids? I'm not sure what to do, so I've used a regular concealer in those areas, but I like the idea of SPF everywhere.
Loved this, my holy grail is Guerlain too, I don't mind paying 60+ on foundation because it's what makes you look better overall. Have a great day! =)
Awesome video, thanks for some suggestions....would be great to see how you apply it. 😊
I love Rimmel age defying feels great on the face with dry skin and comes in my colour, although I don't always wear foundation.
ok! Im going to try the Guerlain version, Right now I'm using Estee, Lauder double wear but is getting very dry,, and they don't have my color anymore, Pebble04 humm.
Thank you Marnie for the great advice!
I love using a Spatty Daddy for foundations without a pump. Just scoop a bit out and dot it around the face, and then wash the spatula. I have about 5, so I don't have to wash them every day.
I wanted to like the Estée Lauder double wear too, just too mask-y. Funny that I just picked up the Guerlain foundation today. Tried a sample from them a few weeks ago...wow...what an amazing foundation!
I also tried the new MUF HD ultra. It's pretty good. I've been loyal to the HD version for the last 3 years but the coverage on the Ultra version is amazing for those days you want a little more coverage without having to build ion the foundation.
Two I have had success with Neutrogena's Health Skin, some say it is a dupe for Nars Sheer Glow, and the new Maybelline Better Skin Concealer!
I'm so glad you did this video Marnie...I was planning one similar and you beat me to it. Maybe I'll do one and just refer all to this video :)....xoxo patti - the most GAW on youtube.....
Glad you liked it!
+rxstrmom Please still do one, I watch all your video's....like I do with Marnie, Nathalie, Melissa, etc....a cup of coffee and I catch up on everyone. Daisy
:)
You are a gorgeous GAW! I can really see a difference in this video since you have been doing Pilates. Thanks for the video.
Huh, I'm 46 and use moisturizer before my IT cc cream and it works fine for me and I have normal skin (drier in the winter). Funny the differences we all have with product successes...lol. I want to try the Healthy bourgois, heard lots of good things about it. If ELF can put a pump on their foundations, all foundations should have them. Never understood that. :D Great video!
Hi Marnie for letting me know about Guerlain make up You have helped me a lot I just need to find a foundation that has good coverage Take Care Barbra Jacobs x x x
I guess you are right about all your foundations .... The best is guerline i tried neutrogena and it is also greate, you should try it ... Love your videos ...

Thank you so much for the informative reviews about so many brands...i've been hesitating about buying chanel foundation but uite concerned about the fragrance might make me break out...now that u said it broke you out, i'm turning to guerlain...
Have you tried the Bourjois flower perfection? I can't find the healthy mix in shade 51. I might give that cc spf 50 stuff a try... I could use that kind of sun protection.
Rimmel-Coty has just purchased Bourjoeus Cosmetics from Channel, so hopefully we will see some interesting new products! Try out the Revlon's Naked skin foundation, and the face powder is to die for, I know I hit pan 5 times!
You can find pumps for drugstore and department store foundations at Beauty MP!
Love the Guerlain, but I always think of it as a special occasion foundation. 1) Not a perfect shade match for my NC 15-20 skin (too yellow or too pink) so I need some light bronzer and contour to help along and 2) It is more glowy and perfected looking than my natural skin (with freckles) so it doesn't match the rest of me. That said, it is my H.G. foundation as well.
The Guerlain is my favorite foundation. Is there any dupe for it? Even with 15 or 20% off at Sephora or NM, it’s pricey. I’m thinking of thinning out my foundations and want only to have my favorites, which means they will run out faster. Used to love MAC Studio Fix in NW10 ( it’s actually neutral), but now it’s too drying.
I have been on a mad quest to find a foundation which works for me. Thank you for the video; it is much appreciated. I can't believe the number of choices in the market... so overwhelming!! I was just wondering if you have any experience with Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier, foundations. Thanks! :)
+Susan Conway None with Bobbi Brown, only have used Laura Mercier Silk Creme, which is lovely but very high coverage, almost too much for me.
Loved this! Tried the guerlain- it didn't come fair enough! :(
Anyone interested in the Cover Girl+Olay Facelift Effect foundation (that's a mouthful!), if you live near a Big Lots, they had it for $6. I'm in Florida and saw it at my local store yesterday.
Bourjois is actually French. I used to love their blush but when I moved to the states I haven't been able to find it.
I have oily skin and I love the Covergirl Outlast foundation. I've tried so many other foundations and I don't like any of them.
Amazing like always!! You look so beautiful we enjoy watching you from tel aviv ... and learn a lot from you . What about Clinique ?
I love many of Clinique's products (mascara, blush, eyeshadow, lipstick) but I have not had great luck with their foundations.
Lingerie de Peau is my favorite too! I risked ordering my color online and luckily it is perfect. Agreed, too much fragrance in Chanel. I got the Cover Girl when you mentioned it before and love it. Not on subject, but what restaurants do the "locals" frequent in San Antonio? Considering a trip and we would like to avoid the "touristy" places. Thanks, Carol
+Carol Crawford Check out all the great restaurants at the Historic Pearl-that's where the real San Antonians go! I need to do a whole series of blog posts on my favorite spots in San Antonio!
+Marnie Goldberg | MsGoldgirl Thank you, Marnie!
+Carol Crawford You could even do a little tour on your channel if the spirit moves you. It is such a lovely place.
Marnie, I was floored when I saw you had a Grown Ass Son!! You look so young, like 30??!! Also, have you tried Dior Capture Totale (bottle) it's a dream foundation, makes your skin look flawless and young, not that you need it!
Thank you! I haven't tried it yet!
What are your thoughts on the Lancôme Nude Miracle? I love it but don't see many talking about it. Love It CC and the Bourjois.
+Fairlie Fricke I haven't tried it-other than their Grandiose mascara (which I love), I haven't tried any of their products.
Hi Marnie, first of all I would like to let you know that I love all your videos, most especially your vlogs. Would you please let me know if the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream is available in Europe. Thanks!
+Wendy Pisani You can send an e-mail to It Cosmetics customer service to find out if it's available in Europe. E-mail address: info@itcosmetics.com
+Michelle Kelly thanks!
Hi Marnie! Do you usually wear primers under your foundations? I'm always afraid they'll just clog my pores.
+Christine Moskau I almost never use a primer.
Hi :)
I noticed that you're wear the elf pout perfectos, how are you liking it? I purchased it years ago and couldn't stand it! It was thick, goopy, and you could feel chunks of glitter on the lips. Did they change the formula?
It feels fine to me!
Good to know. for $3, I will pick it up again!
FYI - Bourjous was just acquired by Coty. The connection to Chanel is no more. Very sad about the reformulation of the MUFE HD - hadn't used it for years but it's not even close to the magic that I remember. I would look for a Guerlain counter at Bloomindale's as well - there's one at my local store.
Do you like the blender or the brush better? I have tried the It and love it, nice lemony smell.
Not sure what you're asking?
I was just curious what self tanner you've been using? I'm still struggling to find a favorite. Love St. topez just not a fan of the after smell. Thanks
+lindsmku Really loving the Tarte self-tanner!
Marnie, I need a new foundation and it's an awful to time switch, but I have a High School class reunion this Saturday and a memorial service that morning, I need to look great but I want a natural glow not too fake, what of all the foundations mentioned would you choose for that kind of day? BTW I'm willing to invest for the Guerlain if it is good for up close scrutiny.
+Cj Anderson Guerlain, Guerlain, Guerlain!!
Thanks! I went to Nordstrom and found out they had not quite got the Guerlain on the floor yet, so if I knew what shade, they would sell it to me, but they unfortunately didn't have any samples out yet. BUT, then they told me this Nordstrom store is the only one carrying Paula's Choice! I bought the Tinted CC cream and I think it will serve, it performed very similar to iT CC. And then I purchased the Vit C15 Resist Booster too. Beautiful shade that worked with my medium light olive complexion!!! I am still going to try out the Guerlain when they have it on the floor in a week or so.
Marine, your hair looks really nice in this video. How do you style your hair,,show us please
try cover girl ready set gorgeous , its good
What do you think is the best way to apply the Guerlain foundation?
Hi I wondering if you have used Dior? How does it compare or fail?
Have you tried any Mac foundations? I also am a "gaw" and with very dry skin. I tried Nars but none of the shades matched me.
I am not a fan of Mac foundations. I haven't tried any in awhile though.
