  • I get asked so often how I apply my undereye concealer (it's a 2-3 step process) so I thought I'd dedicate a video to it-especially for my fellow G.A.W. (that's Grown Ass Women)!

    The nars soft matte complete concealer is AMAZING! I like it much better than tarte shape tape bc it takes so little product to conceal and it's so easy to use. Never cakey, never creases. I Don't need to set it. It looks great alone (without any other makeup on) and I couldn't do that with tarte shape tape bc it looks makeupie on me. Thanks for this video!

    I use the MakeupForever HD powder to set my under eye too! At the checkout at Sephora you can find the tiny travel sized jar, and one of these lasted me 10 months! Doesn't flash back on me either - I'm also pretty pale. Have to say that I hated the shape tape - tried all the different ways to use it, but it was just too thick and settled immediately into lines. My go to is the Lancome Effarcernes waterproof concealer. I also let it sit for a couple of minutes before patting in with my finger, and follow with a quick swipe of No. 7 Radiant Glow. Works on these old eyes! Keep hoping I'm going to see a review done on actual wrinkled under eyes.....

    • @MsGoldgirl
      @MsGoldgirl  7 років тому +2

      I definitely want to get the Lancome concealer-I've heard amazing things about it and since it's waterproof it should be perfect for when it gets hot and humid here!!

    I have been so hesitant to try the shape tape for my under eye, as that is the only place I like to use a brightener. It seems so thick. I am glad to hear a mature lady like myself does not have creasing or the crape-like look from the shape tape. I may need to get this now :) -quincey

    RCMA has a powder that is colorless. You get hhhhuuuuuuugggggeeee tube that's last forever. Now, I have oily skin and I do prefer a matte face. It works wonders. I do love MUF. Love that lip. 💄💄💄💋💋💋🌹❤️🌹

      Lorie Mediina I agree, the RCMA powder is amazing, more finely milled than Laura Mercier so it is friendly for us dry girls too. Marnie, you might like it, especially with a damp beauty blender. Flawless underage all day.

      Jessica Fehl oh my it did NOT work for me. I have fine lines under my eyes & a few crows feet. Laura M Highlighted everything including pores. I tried everything! I stopped using anything under my eyes.
      I'll add a little bronzer all over & that works. No mascara, eyeliner or concealer on the bottom lash line. Works wonders! When I did use those products I sealed it with the Guerlain meteorites.

    I found your video hugely informative! I seem to be the opposite when it comes to setting my concealer; I don't do it and, that's why I love the shape tape. I am 51 now and for some reason when i set, my under eye it looks horribly textured. The shape tape is a miracle as I don't have to set and it looks fabulous 😁. Keep the tutorials coming as I really enjoy them.

    Any tips on refreshing part way thru the day? The lines under the inner corner of my eyes look like fingertips that have been held under water for too long and it doesnt seem to matter what product I use, but noon its looking scaly and just goes downhill from there. Most days I'd rather deal with dark circles then pronounced scaly wrinkles and just skip the under eye concealer.

    Marnie thank you for that. As simple as it seems it did help me alot to have it broken down in sections and explaining what the product is supposed to do. Now this may sound silly but I still to this day have trouble with my mascara, no matter how good I think the mascara is I just can't seem to get it on the entire lash, from lid to end. When I was younger I thought I was just afraid of hitting my contact lenses. But now that I am older and no longer wear contact lenses I still can't get the lashes completely covered, and also I make a mess trying to put on a second coat of mascara. Would you please consider a mini tutorial like this one on mascara? I would so appreciate your help on this. I have tried different methods from a lot of you tubers but most either go to fast or do it off camera. I would love your help. Thank you in advance. Love you❣❣❣

      It's pretty simple-I just wash and moisturize. Occasionally exfoliate with Soap and Glory Flake Away or something like that. But I can expand on it (especially with bare leg season coming up)!

    Kat von D makes a pink under eye powder. At first application, I thought, "oh no". Half an hour later, however, it was gorgeous! Weird, I know. So now I alternate between that, Hourglass ethereal light, or Charlotte Tilbury flawless airbrush (I think that's what it's called). Great video!
