The foundation looks great on you! I'm loving Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (although very pricey) and Loreal Pro Glow....am 53 and have dry skin.

It looks really nice on you. I think this will be my next foundation to try. Another good one for dry skin is from a brand called Exuviance. It's dermatologist developed with lightweight coverage.

You should do a "products I changed my mind about" video and talk about things you loved in the past but didn't care for now & things you love now and used to hate. Hi Marnie. I love how this makes your skin look. I know this sounds strange, but at the end of the day, if I look in the mirror and feel like my makeup looks so nice I don't want to take it off, then it's a winner. If I can't wait to get it off, it's a fail. Rating systems lol.

You should try Jentry Kelley foundation. She is based out of Houston, Tx and has her own makeup line. She is hilarious too. Just wrote a book called hooker to looker which teaches women how to enhance their beauty when wearing makeup. She collabs with Dominique Sanchez (famous news reporter in Houston) and has been growing and growing her makeup line. I've met her once at Houston fashion week (she does all the models makeup) I would LOVE for u to try her foundation. The reason I'm writing a book is bc I have tried a lot of foundations and hers is my favorite. I have even tried other foundations while I use hers and I cannot find ANYTHING like it. I get compliments on make up all the time. I would LOVE for u to purchase this foundation and review it!!!

I tell you, I have not been impressed with higher end foundation lately. Since, I rekindled my love affair with Relvon ColorStay for oily skin. I am on a no buy foundation. I hate AB foundation stick. Dont really care for IT cc cream nor the Tarte Amazonion Clay. All went to a friend yesterday. So, as far now it's CoverGirl Outlast, Relvon, Malani(I am sure I spelled it wrong) or by ELDW. Oh, I did buy the Ulta powder foundation that I keep forgetting about. I will try it one day.

Have you tried the Neutrogena Hydroboost Tint foundation? I apply it with my dupe for the Artis brush. Nice! Not much coverage, though. Sounds like this one, but much cheaper. I want to try the La mer if I win the lottery. :-)
+D Smith I have it and it's ok, but no comparison to this foundation at all. There is nothing similar about the two in finish, coverage or longevity. I'd like to get a sample of the La Mer, but I've seen it on in person and I'm not sure it's worth the hype! 😉

+kim Anco48 It's usually level of coverage and SPF level. These days though there doesn't seem to be any consistency to what is a BB cream and what's a foundation. It's more marketing than anything else.
So bummed to see this has nut oil in it....all the good foundations for dry skin contain nut ingredients and Im allergic :( It looks beautiful on you, I'm jealous!

I have the Shiseido Synchro Lasting foundation - and the cap is the only thing that bothers me too! I have to try several times to get it in the right place.
You have to pay close attention to which primer your using with which foundation. Water based primer and water based foundation go together and oil based primer with oil based foundations etc. maybe that's what happened in your case , they weren't compatible

Marnie I just picked up the GA luminous silk dual-use powder. I'm so tired of using liquid foundation. I've never been one to use it. I thought I'd try this G Armani & the Dior Capture Totale compact. The G Armani broke along the edges (UPS) .... so little though. I have it on one side. It's so so finely milled!! Comes w a great powder puff for 2 diff types of application. It looks great. Now onto the Dior... First off WAY BETTER PACKAGING! Comes w a sponge. Says it's triple correcting powder makeup. Wrinkles, dark spots & radiance. I like the Dior! Lol!!! I used the sponge.. nah. Applied it w my hourglass buffing brush. Perfect! Just thought I'd tell you about the new stuff I bought. I also bought the Chanel blush in Rose Ecrin #68. Gorgeous!!!! Just enough mauve yet still natural looking.

Love the earrings! I'm going to have to search for this foundation. The bottle kind of looks heart shaped. I live in "Mayberry" so finding it where I can swatch it on my hard-to-match warm-fair skin will be the challenge. But I can honestly say I've really like every foundation you've raved about, and that is sooooo rare for me. Maybe it's because we both have dry sensitive skin! Looking forward to trying this one. Hopefully it makes it to my mini-Sephora soon.

On its own i was not wowed by it. But been mixing it with other foundations that were previously too dry for my skin (Chanelś Les Beiges and Perfection Lumiere velvet) and it mixes very well. So pleased i can get use of those expensive things now!
I came across your channel as I was looking for a review of this foundation and agree with you on Shiseido's lids; not sure why they didn't fix the design after the original Synchro skin. It really makes your skin look beautiful and even without looking cakey so I will have to go check this out. Great review!
Yea - Just in time as we are about to be in areas where the stores will have Sheiseido so I can color match. Have you tried Dior Air Flash? I really think it is a beautiful foundation but don't know how long the can, or container, will last, so not sure if it is worth the price.

How would you compare this to the Too Faced Born This Way foundation? Sadly this new Shiseido one doesn't come to Canada until April...

Good question-I like the color options much better-the Too Faced is a bit too yellow. This is also a bit more moisturizing and has slightly better coverage. I like them both though!

I have also tried both, following Marnie's suggestion. I like Shiseido better. Like Marnie, I found Born This Way in Pearl too yellow and did not care for the thick consistency. Sheiseido looks more natural on me, but doesn't last as long as Born This Way. Original Guerlain LDP is still my super hero, and I still wish I could buy it.
(I also found Pearl too yellow, but Porcelain seems to be neutral enough for me.)
As always, a wonderful review. I love the wet and wild catsuit liquid lipstick too. If possible can you give the Chanel perfection lumiere velvet foundation a try ? I' would love to know what you think.

This foundation sounds wonderful. It looked pretty when you put it on and also when you checked in at the end of the video. Does this foundation have any scent? I am sensitive to scents.
No real scent to it-very mild.

I am shade g5(nc37-nc40) the DARKEST shade in Golden. I could maybe use G4 in the winter(nc35ish).
