System of a Down (S.O.A.D) songs usually have a deep meaning. When you react to their song "Toxicity", it's about
Attention Deficit Disorder. The song you just listened to "Aeriels) is about how people can lose their identities and become just like everyone else. Some lyric analysis:
"Life is a waterfall,we're one in the river, one again after the fall." - We all start off the same and we all end up the same.
"Swimming through the void, we hear the words,we lose ourselves, but we find it all." - As we go through life we are told lessons, but we ignore them. We forget who we really are in the mix of seeking the synthetic lifestyle, and that's the price to lose who we really are.
"'Cause we are the ones that wanna play, always want to go, but you never want to stay." - We always want to be part of the scene. We strive for what we want and when we get it, it still does not satisfy.
"And we are the ones that want to choose, always wanna play, but you never wanna lose." - We want and want. We do whatever we can but if trouble is ever near we do whatever we can to maintain innocence.
"When you lose small mind you free your life." - When we stop to see the full picture is when we really have control of our lives.

I have 2 suggestions.
1. Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo). Probably one of the greatest guitar performances of ALL time.
2. Alice in Chains - Nutshell (Mtv Unplugged performance). One of the most emotional performances of all time. If you know the history of the band, this one will hit you hard.

It's stil so amazing that this song came out when I was 12 years old and I stil remember how I felt listening to it for the first time. Miss Juliet, thank you for making me love music even more. The way you fall in love with what you hear and how you pay attention to the details and becomes giggly and almost explode in pure euphoria makes me remember how I got into music in the first place and how nowadays that feeling isn´t there very often cause of how easy it is today to listen to music. In one week you could easily listen to a couple of albums in various genres and sure they are great and give you great joy but it is not like what it was before when you were going to a record store and borrowed headphones to listen to that special album that just been released. We are consuming more music today which is great in itself but I can sometimes miss this feeling of finding one song or one album and just fall in love with it and stay with it for a while instead of just jumping around listening to whatever comes in mind on youtube.
So, thank you for making me remember that feeling once again.
It really started with you three listening to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score, the feeling that song gave you aswell as myself still sticks with me to this day.

I wanna recommend Cradle of Filth, many good songs to chose from but I would chose something from their album Cruelty and The Beast for the classic Cradle sound, but most people seem to find the song and video Nymphetamine to be their way into the band so maybe that song would be a good choice!

There are so many good SOAD songs , from earlier stuff like War , Sugar, Spiders, Ddevil and more the same album as Aerials, like the title song Toxicity or Chop Suey

I’ve seen 100’s of shows starting in the mid 70s. SOAD is one of the best shows I have ever seen. What you hear recorded is pretty much what you hear live.

I'll tell you, on the original disc there was either an extended version of this song, or a 'hidden track' that used to play a few seconds after this.. it had a stretch of instrumentation and harmonized vocalization that I think you'd like given your reactions.

I am a fan of ANY good music and I don't care what genre it is. I am a huge JINJER fan and love listening to Slipknot, S.O.A.D. and other hard bands but also appreciate good music from the other side of the music world as well. With that in mind I would like to see you girls react to something completely different than anything I have seen you react to with this video and song Josh Turner Would You Go With Me (official video) because the video tells a sweet story and adds context to the song. He has a very impressive vocal range and I think you will really like it.
