      "toxic chemicals" - you know that water is a chemical too, right? When you're dying, it'll be "toxic chemicals" i.e. medicines and medical treatments that you'll immediately want. Plant oils and plant substances are unpronounceable in their biological names, and also contain toxins and poisons.

    Will the fractionated coconut oil clog pores like regular coconut oil?

    • @ouroilyhouse
      @ouroilyhouse  4 роки тому +1

      I do not find it to clog my pores or cause breakouts. In fact, I find it to do the opposite. My skin is very soft and clear. I use fractionated coconut oil as a makeup remover every night before bed, and it works great. It is gentle enough to apply close to the eyes to remove eyeliner and mascara.

      For some people, it works well, but for many people, it does clog pores. I personally avoid coconut oil like the plague because it gives me horrible breakouts. I would definitely test patch somewhere on your face before putting it all over the place.

    • @HeartlyChase
      @HeartlyChase Рік тому

      You are correct! I was always taught to avoid coconut oil on the face & scalp as it will clog pores and slow down hair growth & cause breakouts. Grapeseed/Rosehip/Safflower oil will not clog pores.

    You’re actually not supposed to use essential oils on your face. Scents are an irritant to the skin, and also in the long term they will destroy the top layer of skin. This is why they recommend using a carrier oil when they’re put into lotions for the skin (not for face) (:

      This really is a matter of which oil you are talking about it, the brand, and if it is diluted properly. I (and personally know a lot of others) use essential oils on my face daily and have amazing results!

    I made this moisturizer but mine didn't seem to come out right. It has the consistency of jelly and seems very oily. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in a hot climate so maybe that is the problem.

    • @ouroilyhouse
      @ouroilyhouse  4 роки тому

      Yes try putting it in the refrigerator to see if it will set up and then you can whip it with a hand mixer. Adding a little arrowroot powder can help if you think it is too oily.

    Can I use regular cocunot oil

      Fractionated coconut oil is much different than regular coconut oil, so it will change the consistency.

      If you cool it down quickly, it doesn't crystallize as much! You can do that by putting the bowl of melted oil into a bowl with ice water and stir, stir, stir until it's completely cool :)
