I am so thankful to have seen your video. My hands were damaged by hand santizer. The skin got hard and leathery then blood started to ooze out. I tried everything and it didnt work. Finally i watched your video and made a batch
The shea butter is amazing. A month in using it my hand has completely healed. I did exfoliate some of dead cells on my hands after it healed to aid in the process. I am just so thankful to have my hands back to normal and it is now so smooth.

@@ouroilyhouse even though it doesn't have water incorporated it's better to be safe then sorry and go ahead and add a preservatives in the event that moisture does accrue.....there are natural preservatives such as Optiphen,GeoGuard few others can't think of all of them at the moment..honey is also a preservative..course as always I recommend people do their own research....looks like a awesome body butter! Benzoin is also great for blemishes and rashes, heard hemp oil as well....all a matter of experimenting!

Great info. I made my first batch, and this lotion is SO much better than commercial products. I have lymphedema in my legs, and my skin is very sensitive and prone to infection. Lots of soaps, creams and Epsom salt give me rashes and makes my skin itch. Someone at my local health food store recommended that I try making my own lotion with shea butter, and this video was the absolute best I found. So often when I try DIY home remedies, they don't work, but these instructions are SPOT ON!

Been using this for a good 3 months and its really good and not oily maybe bc i put more tablespoons to my taste which is what I want. I used cornstarch as its locally everywhere. This is a really simple video and as someone who doesnt want to use products with the term “fragrance” which even tho the US regulates there are still chemicals that can affect the body such as becoming infertile, and usually those are banned in other countries. So knowing whats in the things I use is important to me.

As a soapmaker I have these ingredients so thought I'd have a go at making this lovely looking lotion. Unfortunately it's still very oily despite the arrowroot, and even doubling it didn't noticeably decrease the oily nature of the lotion. I love every other aspect of the lotion however; the simplicity, natural ingredients and options to scent to own preference.

Of course it's extremly greasy: it's made out of all oils. The coconut oil isn't all that great for anything except feet and legs - and never on the face, as it is a good way to get clogged pores and acne of all types. (not on back, shoulders, etc, either, for anyone who has gotten acne in the past).
