      I’m an abuse survivor. It takes every person a different approach, time and healing therapies to recover. We all react in very individual ways. Many hide it better than others and some are not aware of the impact it has had, believing they are more balanced than they actually are.
      Many psychologists believe “ it can be erased forever “
      Personally: I disagree. The scars are there forever, but with the right healing, you can live a balanced life .

You can think this is outrageous and yes, she is at fault. But for you to think it’s unimaginable for anyone to do this without knowledge, ask Steven Hassan. These people can talk you into anything. Listen to the testimony of her niece. Jodi has been doing this stuff for years and manipulated many many women into doing things they would not normally do.

  • @LinaGenX
    @LinaGenX 5 місяців тому +129

    Hildebrant's actions toward Adam Steed was horrific, him and his wife seeked family counceling, and Hildebrant was one of the LDS church approved therapists. She put Adam in a group of men, some of them openly talking about segsually abusing their children. She did that knowing Adam was a survivor of SA from childhood. She separated him from his wife, made sure he and his wife divorced, aided in accusing him of SA-ing his own children, to the point where he lost all custody of his children, and was put in jail. Adam had all the documents, and was thankfully not convicted, but still no custody of his children. Adam turned on jody, reported her to the licensing board, she lost her therapy license for a period when it was found out Hildebrant had shared all her false accusations with the LDS church. The LDS church excommunicated Adam from the church he had been a lifelong member of. When Adam told his story on Mormon Stories the LDS church went to court, and the court ruled they had to take the podcast down

    • @Billsbob
      @Billsbob 5 місяців тому

      Any mention of his kids online goes against a gag order instated on behalf of the minors involved; had nothing to do w/ his pathological hatred of the church and was not applied for by the Church. You also have to know that victims of SA unfortunately often grow up to commit acts of SA, and given the credible accusations that one of his kids were SA’d by ‘someone’ it’s possible Jodi wasn’t totally out of line. It’s not like this guy is even-keeled and rational in his demeanor, it’s entirely possible his issues were caused by him and have nothing at all to do w/ Jodi, the Church, his wife, or his kids. His divorce and estrangement could have been inevitable regardless of therapist or religion. To be clear, this doesn’t excuse anything Jodi plead guilty too, I just don’t like the rubber-necking vibe I get from this guy and the shifting of responsibility from the person to their religion.

No length of time will ever "fix" what she did no death penalty etc, what would give her kids only a chance at peace is her being locked up forever without the chance of parole, so those kids could sleep at night. I work in a childrens group home ranging 5 to 15 years. Those are neglected, abused, and sometimes tortured kids. I watch them trying to figure out how to understand and deal with their experiences (which is impossible) whilst simultaneously still loving their parents. They still are so dependent on those relationships that it is almost impossible to avoid having them feel some kind of loyalty conflict, which can seriously worsen their mental well-being and development. After over 15 years in this job, I've come to the conviction that the traumas inflicted on them destroyed the kind of personality that they would have developed as well as the future they could have had. And to me, that is a form of murder. That might sound exaggerated to some people, but most of those kids will never experience the world the same way as other children. They will never feel as safe, loved, and valid as them. And chances are high, that they will carry these traumas into every relationship and into the next generations. I am certain that the punishment for those adults, that their sentencing should be similar to manslaughter or murder.

I work primarily with many abuse, DCFS, and foster case. I have been in court staffing, cases often and I greatly appreciate your insight. I hope many things can be learned and improved upon in Utah following this case. I couldn't find the poll... I think they both deserve the MAX. I feel they do not ever have the right for freedom. The damage, the abuse those children suffered will NEVER fully leave them. Their "distorted" thinking, their "correct" use of words further supports this fact, in my view. I have hope that in some justice with the history presenting from Hildebrant, some how new legal action can be taken from the other individuals who suffered due to her "distorted" practice. In my opinon she deserves nothing less than life in prison, which is too good for her.
