Enjoyed the video. I’m such a airfryer lover since getting one. I have a smaller one and looking for one that I can cook my meat and put my veggies in at some point to so I have both done close to same time. I think the vortex is one of the largest with several trays...is that correct? Unless you know of another large one do you think this would be good for what I’m looking to do?
There might be some larger but depending on how many you are cooking for and considering price and size of unit this one seems to be good, it is fairly inexpensive, looks good on the counter and does not take up much space...Thank you for watching and I hope this helps!!
Thanks for your answer. I have not seen any bigger. As far as price goes it’s ok if it’s higher than this I just one where I can cook both meat and able to add vegetables at some point so there both done at the same time. Thanks

Great reference. I always do frozen mini pizzas at 390 for 11 minutes. The burgers weren’t frozen but are a little thicker. When you set the temp to 375, I guessed another two minutes and was right on the button.
I airfried a FROZEN hamburger in my Ninja Foodie Grill at 375 for 11 minutes and it was as medium and juicy. Apparently, all air fryers are NOT the same (close though).
Were the patties juicy? I made 2 chub burgers as shown in your vid. 375° for 13 minutes. It was a fail. They were fridge cold when I cut them into 3/4" slices...perhaps they should have sat out 15 minutes. As I watched, they formed a peak in the centre as they browned and began to get tough around the edges. I used a thermapen for temperature. They were done at 13 minutes, but very tough. Defeating.
So, I re-watched your vid and saw where I think I went wrong. I SALTED THEM before I put them in the Vortex Plus. You only salted just before eating. Feeling pretty silly. I am going to try 'em again tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

@@paulloren66 I don't know what I did
but I think I accidentally deleted one of you questions but here is the answer...
well...I am impressed with the instant pot pressure cooker and its quality...that being said, I'm not down on other brands and I will not say which but some of the other brands mentioned have not impressed me...but,I have not even tried some of them but I know what to expect from instant pot and that kinda influenced my decision...I also saw an almost identical unit for less at a store recently but wrung with instant pot...sorry for the long answer and it is kinda hard to explain but thanks again!!
In your own words, “You’re confusing”.
I agree.it got a little out of hand at that point LOL!!!..thanks for watching!!!
628robair it’s not confusing at all. I get it. I also don’t cook to 160...too well done.
What ? You never knew you are supposed to cook ground meat to well down 160? And then you only tried 8 min to begin with? Simple rule of thumb for well done meat is 8 min a side or what we call a 16 min burger or steak !
Yeah..I did know it was supposed to be well done I'm just guilty of not doing that all the time and almost always order medium rare at restaurants...I'm not suggesting anyone do that it's just what I have done in the past...Thank you for watching!!
What kind of cheese are u using?
That is one of my favorites and it is black rind hoop cheese and it is usually neat the ground beef for some reason..not with the other cheeses??...at room temperature...thanks for watching
Can you Print recipes
john loved your test, but l think you need to get those therma gloves, the next time🙄
I literally had some I order...or I think that is what they are called...thanks for the tip LOL..that tray gets hot believe it or not..thanks for watching!!!
I put tin foil on my drip tray so I don't have to clean it all the time
As long as it doesn't hinder air flow that would work...thanks for watching !!!
@@JohnSanders It's at the bottom of the vortex so there's no hindrance. Right now I'm AF'ing a chicken breast with seasoning salt for 35 min @ 400℉-Might put on some Sweet Baby Ray's sauce near the end(5 min from finish) Having it with stuffing!
That sounds really good!!!
@@JohnSanders It WAS good!
Very good to hear!!! Thank you for sharing that!!!
It's called a trivet sir
Yes it is... sometimes I can't think of the right word...LOL... thanks for watching!!
Defeating.
Not sure what could have happened...I've made them several times...just curious...what cooking device or air fryer did you use?
@@JohnSanders I have the Instant Vortex Plus 10qt. Will definitely give it another go.
@@denim4821 thanks and please let me know!!! Thanks again!
So, I re-watched your vid and saw where I think I went wrong. I SALTED THEM before I put them in the Vortex Plus. You only salted just before eating. Feeling pretty silly. I am going to try 'em again tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
@@denim4821 thanks and please let me know...also is it 80/20 or 90/10?
Hey John, have you heard anything about the new foodi line i told ya about last week? I love watching you, but i do not like that vortex at all. I just think the foodi does a much better job. So i cant wait till the new foodi line comes out so i have more videos to watch of interest to me. appreciate ya!!!
I can't wait either, they never responded to my message but I assure you I am very interested in getting those to review... just don't know how to let them know. Thanks for letting me know.
Zzzzzzzz...im done with the probe/timer nonsense. You're making it complicated.
Sorry about that.... thanks for watching...
I’m not interested in use of your fancy thermometers. All I wanted to know was what temperature to use and for how long. 👎
Sorry you feel that way but thank you for watching
Lord have mercy... That was totally useless as far as videos go.. Sorry dude.
No problem...sorry it wasn't what you were looking for...thanks for watching
Don’t let people get you down. I love your videos.
Thank you Gary! And thank you very much for watching!
