Today Jo Ann scored her 6th head-to-head match! (She's only the fourth celeb to reach 6.) She's now tied with Charles! Here's the updated accuracy leader board for the 7 celebs to have scored 3 or more matches so far: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Betty - 50% (8 wins in 16 attempts). *TIE Charles - 42.9% (6 wins in 14 attempts). *TIE Jo Ann - 42.9% (6 out of 14 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 28.9% (22 wins in 76 attempts). Brett - 22.2% (4 wins in 18 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 199, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.
@@kristabrewer6736Adding up the totals of Betty, Charles, Jo Ann, Bert, and Brett they had 29 wins in 77 attempts, or 37.66% rate of matches. Richard's 22 victories in 76 attempts (28.94%) is fairly consistent with that winning percentage, a difference of only -8.72%. Richard lost 54 times, Betty/Charles/Jo Ann/Bert/Brett lost 48 times in basically the same number of tries. Typically you could expect the contestants to make the head to head match roughly once in every three tries regardless of who they picked. It was meant to be hard to win. Back then $5,000 could buy a winning contestant a brand new 1974 Ford Mustang (approx $3500). That was a lot of money to give away. You'd go broke if the contestants always won 2500 or 5K.
Charles Nelson Reilly was at the Hartford Circus Fire on July 6, 1944, I'm surprised he didn't have a problem rattling off that name. It affected him deeply.
@@Drchainsaw77According to Wikipedia there were between 6,000 and 8,000 people in attendance and 167 people died. Most people who were there survived the tragedy, so it's plausible that person's mother would have been among the many survivors. Not a guarantee that she would have died had she been there, but a frightening possibility. It had to be a horrific thing to experience and live through.
Jo Ann needed to listen to the song "Tell Laura I Love Her" more closely. It had nothing to do with prison or the electric chair. The singer had wrecked his race car at the track, and knew that he was dying. That's why he kept saying, "Tell Laura I Love Her."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Masak Ron Masak - During the 1970s, this guy was all over the place...just never in one spot for very long. I can't figure it out. A decent looking guy, an ok actor. But..."commercial voice-over guy" was the best he could do by the 1980s.
Eat a penguin. And, I know what Richard meant by LOVE. And of course Bill Bailey. Chow Mein. I could really rack up if the stars were as smart as Richard. Warren, Hold my hand.
I guess it was a good thing they had an hour lunch after the other episode.. Curious to know thou if air date to be announced but they know when the air date is why not go ahead and put it on the slate or is that just projected air dates?
ROFL! Another fine after dinner episode! :0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Charles! :0) ROFL! Love ya Fannie! :0) ROFL! Ron, Jo Ann and Fannie beat Richard! ;0) date? shoot! I think Jo Ann is the only other person beside Richard who doesn't seem to freak out when called for the head to head.. ;0) kidney!
brett was sweet to comfort charles after he mentioned barnum and bailey. she knew how much the circus fire affected him.
These people were great entertainers , they had us laughing all the time.
The Best Game Show Ever ! it never be matched
Fannie Flagg...I loved her accent. Soooo cute!!!
I remember seeing the original broadcast of this episode. I recognized the Galloping Gourmet question and the one after that about the airline pilot.

Jo Ann was on a good streak! Usually it's Richard Dawson that had the most matches.
um nooooooooooo I don't THINK so! It was RICHARD who lost most of those matches (do you even WATCH this show)?
Jo Ann was beautiful and smart. Also Donna was one of the few to understand that the supermatch was best with someone of same gender and similar age

My mother was also almost at that Hartford Connecticut fire I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have been born she if she had
Here's a youtube clip of "The Life of Reilly" when he talks about it.

@@terryjones9459 Were you born after July 6, 1944? Then it's a certainty you wouldn't have been born if she died. Never saw Back to the Future?

It seems that each week Fannie is on here, there is at least one day where she and Richard keep having the funniest wrong answers.

You knew he was a pilot because he had an instrument panel on his couch.
Funny!
Or seat belts
Gene is smooth. Charles is cute.

Of course it would be wife. That popped in my female mind.
Too bad Patti isn't on the panel today, does anyone else think Donna looks a bit like her?
I know it doesn't win points, but I love the wrong answers.
Are the players getting dumber?
Is Gene half in the bag???
