Poor Fannie Flagg never even knew she had a very specific and severe form of dyslexia that really effected spelling and word order. A viewer of Match Game who was an early expert on dyslexia noticed she had some specific patterns to her mistakes and letter shapes and informed her and helped her to get well! She went on to write bestselling books.
I agree that Dead End was the best choice, and there really aren't too many really good choices for this match. I also thought of dead duck (which Gene mentioned afterwards) but I never would have said that. And I certainly can't fault Fannie for thinking of dead weight.

Plus, I think the champion's choice of hairstyle was beautiful for her appearance, but it got weird seeing it unaltered "day" after "day." I notice some previous women champions changed their hairstyle slightly between tapings, but I imagine that would have been impractical in this case.
Well once again Richard won the week giving away 9,000 dollars in head to head and audience matches with 19 matches for the regulars. Orson and Abby both gave away 500 dollars in audience match match for the semi regulars. Fannie matched 18 times for the semi regulars.
I think she felt guilty for repeating;y picking Richard, especially because Fannie had the right answer last time. She probably picked her to make up for it.
Aside from match game the only other show I've seen Orson Bean on was Dr. Quinn medicine woman, one of MANY characters I 💘 to hate. Why the bloody hell did they match hat with head? That's a bunch of 💩. It's not that I don't like Karen, it's just time for a new champion
