If you want a taste of what Charles Nelson Reilly's family was like, take a look at "The Life Of Reilly" here on UA-cam. It's funny. It's heartbreaking. It's thought-provoking.
Richard's 27th H/H match! (I'm hoping Orson and/or Fannie will get chosen again this week.) Here's the updated accuracy leader board for the 7 celebs to have scored 3 or more matches so far: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Betty - 50% (8 wins in 16 attempts). Jo Ann - 46.7% (7 out of 15 attempts). Charles - 40% (6 wins in 15 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 30.3% (27 wins in 89 attempts). Brett - 25% (5 wins in 20 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 217, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.
Only second taping of the day, too soon. Also Gene, on going medical condition, and Richard didn't drink, they both say so on the show at least a couple of times..Even Patti said they only had one cocktail at dinner althou they were a walking party sober.. Who would want that on tape while trying to find work in the business, they were all very professional.. Not to mention what Producer would want they on stage trying to give away money to contestants while they were dunk.. I would think not..
It's often referred to in the show when someone sends out a hello over the airwaves, yet it's never explained: why is it "not allowed" to do? Some daft FCC regulation a of the times? Thanks.
I think hosts just frown on it because it means nothing to everyone except that person and letting everyone do it gets annoying (e.g. Drew Carrey's TPIR Showcase Showdowns).
yes i find it wird that they won't allow this, was it a policy from the producers or was this FCC stuff as you said? i doubt it was some FCC stuff because i seen it been done in other TV shows.
Lee was such a 🍯, she put up a good fight, but alas she didn't know the ancient joke's punchline. Soap and stopper were great answers, but I thought of rubber duckies
2022 updated #1 answer to the super match question for $500 at minute mark 4:15 - "sleepy",,,,,,,,,,, answer? -------------------------------------- drum roll please --------------------------------------- "joe" lol.
I suppose they knew what they doing, indeed. Still, I think 'Alpenglow' a better name. I dislike contractions, finding them lazy or a dumbing-down to appeal to the base, but, again, as with so many successes of the Madmen, it obviously worked.
I honestly wish Charles Nelson Riley was my uncle or something. Can you imagine how he was at family holidays?!! 😂😂
Hilarious. His manufactured tantrums and Tizzies were funny in a live TV setting.

a friend of his actually uploaded a clip to UA-cam of a holiday dinner at Charles's house!!! (it was when he was much older than this)
Look up "dinner with charles nelson reilly"
11:58 Look at Richard's funny answer!! 😂😂😂😂
Gene’s favorite tie again.
I love when they walk out after hearing such filth 😂😂
Charles: Well she got two boobs. LOL
Enid, Oklahoma is a small city north of Oklahoma City and is home to the Oklahoma Railroad Museum.
Nice.
The cannibal's apple pie had ADAM in it! Gol !
apple pie had ADAM'S APPLES in it
Looks like "people" was the winning answer though.
First thing I thought: Mom's apple pie had Mom in it.
What a tie breaker

She has a Karen Carpenter smile
HAD.. She's probably as DEAD as Carpenter.
She does resemble Karen Carpenter ❤️
that was a very ballsy move richard made demanding a second kiss with hubby sitting right there front row. lol. once wasn't good enough?? lol. 7:42
Unbelievable.
I love it the girls walked out of the boob question and gene says get back here and the girls get mad
Funny that they mention LMAD being on another network, the current version is on CBS.
The original Let's Make A Deal was on NBC from 1963 to 1968. It moved to ABC in 1968 and aired until 1976. So, in 1974, it was on ABC.
When I watched these as a kid I just thought they were weird, I had no idea they were inebriated.
MajorSeventh Richard Dawson never drank alcohol. He said on one show that he is a teetotaler

@@familyfeudfan95 he didn't drank alcohol on the show you mean?
@@generay4054 sometimes I wonder if they were just exhausted.
Watching this show sequentially, it seems that the contestants and not the panel introduced much of the "boob" talk....!!
9:43 *GET BACK HERE NOW!!!*
Hahaha.
Hee Hee Hee I love it
You plug a show on another network?
Allen Ludden did for Password and Bobby Van did for Showoffs when the both aired on ABC and it was done by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman
@@ericsamuelson5656 LMAD isn't a Goodson/Todman production thou..
Contestant looked like she had crescent rolls on her head
I wonder if that's a wig or her real hair?
I'd say it's a wig, look real close and the top and bottom are two different colors blonde
Fannie is the only one still alive.
What do you know? My mother was born in Enid, OK.
9:50 it's Abby's turn to show some skin... all that's left is Brett and I'll run out of the studio if that happens... hahahahaha

If it makes Gene feel better, Let's Make A Deal is on CBS now.
He's been dead since 1999. I don't think he cares.
Let's make a deal was on NBC from 1963 to 1976. After that it was on CBS.
@ts.elliot5870 Actually, it was NBC from 1963 to 1968. It moved over to ABC, where it remained until 1976.
Like Gene , I would have said Mom and I would have lost
12:10 can you top this
Sleepy Joe 😅
Sleepy Joe was in the senate during the taping of this show! 50 years in politics, and everything's Trump's fault!
I never woulda guessed Abby was in her early 40's here. Looks great for her age
I would have said Adams apple
I admire Charles for tolerating snide homophobic innuendoes often made by the closet queen emcee!
Abby was a knockout.
Her daughter Kathleen (who looks like her) was 9 years old then
Panelists:
1. Orson Bean
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Abby Dalton
5. Richard Dawson
6. Fannie Flagg
And if people aren't available, you could use Solyent Green....
Edward Lozano Solent green is people hahaha
Yikes.
Lee was such a 🍯, she put up a good fight, but alas she didn't know the ancient joke's punchline. Soap and stopper were great answers, but I thought of rubber duckies
Karen looks like Judy Holliday.
Yes she does.
Mary Jane's ribbons of luscious curled locks cascading down is dreamy.
Richard's Bucket answer was funny as hell!
Richard copped a feel on that woman
He always does.
That don't surprise me at all
Damn, the women were so much prettier in those days!
Damn, the men were so much nicer in those days!
So why did the girls walk off just because the contestant gave "boob" for an answer?
gerryu21220 Probably as a joke.
Even stranger when Brett was one of the two that gave the answer, LOL.
They were pretending to be offended. 🤣🤣🤣
@@garfield2439 lol.
they were only kidding
I thought the '...every bottle of bathtub gin has a BLANK in it' answer that the writer was going for was 'a short-and-curly' (i.e. a hair). Blecch!
Let him run the show, you just answer questions..
2022 updated #1 answer to the super match question for $500 at minute mark 4:15 - "sleepy",,,,,,,,,,, answer?

"joe"
lol.
Funny!
can't say hello to your relatives? uhh this show is a little tide.
A little tide? What? It was a running joke. Haven't you noticed they said you can't say hello after they've already given their shout outs?
What a dumb product name, 'Alpen.' Should have been Alpine, no?
"Alpen" makes it sound like something Continental. It's German for "Alps".
Alpen cereal is still on grocery store shelves today. If it's survived in a competitive marketplace for 50 years, how dumb of a name could it be?
I suppose they knew what they doing, indeed. Still, I think 'Alpenglow' a better name. I dislike contractions, finding them lazy or a dumbing-down to appeal to the base, but, again, as with so many successes of the Madmen, it obviously worked.
Being it the 70's, Fannie's shirt from opening credits prob. matched her bush (prob. except for the hair color, lol)
Jesus man have some decency. She's dead and gone have some respect.
Brett really shouldn’t have been on this show ….too much back round noise …. A narcissist who required too much attention
I find Orson Bean irritating
