5:40 This. I'm brand new to the hobby, but one thing I've noticed is that my neopixel blade has a little bit of give to it, so if I'm hitting it against another blade, I think that should mean the impact will sort of disperse. Mine is from Imperial Workshop and they mention it's a "heavy-grade" blade. They also claim in their FAQ that they can hold up to all scenarios, from spinning to dueling. Does that mean that I'm going to go MikeStarwalker on mine? Absolutely not, but it helps knowing that a heavy neopixel won't shatter into pieces if I go a little harder than intended by accident.
@@ivanokriletic2428 Well I can't vouch for NeoSabers, but I can say that if you want to do some sparring with a neopixel blade, you're better off with heavier variants of them. Bendu Armory has a pixel blade specifically graded for dueling for $100, backed by a warranty. I don't have one yet, but I may pick one up soon.
I fully approve of breaking shit for science. I would love to see how a KR BTF battle blade would stand up to the tree And I'm loving the videos of you two together!
I have way more confidence in these now after watching this. If the blade can take a few full force swings like that, then it can handle common dueling. I was skeptical with these at first because a friend of mine had some of the original Force FX ones and those things love to die if you just breathe on them too hard.
Informative AND heartbreaking 😅 Usually it'll be the pins inside the hilt that break first too, so you may have killed the blade without even realising it on the blade itself 😭
@@SemzNerd Awesome, thanks for the quick response! Now I know to get the heavy grade! From what I’ve seen heavy grade doesn’t really sacrifice effects or cool factor like it used to. it just isn’t quite as bright. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
I feel like if the tip wasn't defective or was secured properly it would have taken a lot more abuse the LEDs on the inside would not have flown out right away
Unless you’re in a heavy(I mean everyday, full out combat) dueling club, doing a Star Wars level film shoot(I mean intensity AND length) stress tests like these, or simply trying to break the blade, neopixel blades can handle 95% of what the average person can throw at it. Not to mention reputable companies have warranties on these blades anyways if you ask over the phone(or at least the ones I know anyway)
Guys there's no way you'll destroy my hilt!!! I've made them to last a life time and take it. Give it all you got lol YOU WILL FAIL!!!!!! 😂😂😂 great video by the way. Was that a 2mm wall or 3mm wall blade?
Hmmmm maybe light dueling but thats it. Just started a small collection. All baselits and 1 neopixel on the way. I wont be dueling with it...until i can afford to get another blade for back up at least lol But i suppose ising in the hilt like you said would damage the pins in the hilt which would be no good hehe
Thank you, so to clarify, we can duel with them, just lightly. See i boight some from temu for 25$ ... then i didn't even know this led saber tech was real, honestly thought it was temu. So guys to get a real nice, quality saber at a good price, what do yall recommend for me and my son.
5:34 isn't this the other way around... you're hitting it against a stationary object, not against another blade that might be coming towards yours at the same velocity... I mean, I'd estimate it's less in average case terms, but worse in worst case terms. but it seems to me that latter is what matters...
Think about this, two blades hitting will either stop each other with give on either side, or push one away. While a relatively immovable object like a tree, will give e no such leniency. Also with the roughness of the bark I think this is a good yet over the top test as it's supposed to be. For example, even if your buddy was white knuckling the saber, trying to make it unmoving, and you give it a good wack your mates blade is gonna give way some. It's all about how much force is dampened through movement and flexibility. Some tree branches don't move for nothing except storms and flying cars.
@@TheTrueDoomSlayer Like I said I could buy that in an average case scenario but worst case you could have two fighters heavily leaning into their blows with their full weight, which combined with the extra normal force of two rooted entities trying to offset each other anyway, means the force magnitudes concerned can be up to 4x what they are vs swinging at a non-moving target... there's really no way to make the math work out that just the rigidity of the tree makes so much of a difference as to offset that kind of power.
I mean the whole point of dueling is to have the blade in the hilt. The fact that you ignored that for manufactures sake is wild and reckless to the viewers. Like this is basically corporate propaganda, no offense, mate. The durability test is a falsehood

These aren't really meant for kids.

This is good to see. I was scared to do light sparring earlier incase my pixels went black.

A worthy sacrifice for knowledge that must be shared.

Its why me and my buds always tape up our saber tips right after unpacking 💪
Just about had a heart attack when I saw the blade in my hilt. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Basically if you plan to duel with a neo pixel. Play lightly and even then be prepared it may get a little Damage.
This looks like so much fun mate, great video as always !
That was so much fun to do and I'm super impressed by that blade for real!!
Thanks again bro. It took a beating!

Do you think that lightsabers from imperial workshop are better in dueling (hitting etc) than from neosaber site?

Pixel is very bad for duelling, but if it break u just need to remove blade? Will everything be okay with the handle?
I will be interested to see a dual with these as a test
Proud teacher over here! Beautiful obiani
Loving the Jim semz combo you guys are a fantastic duo!
Thank u brooooo
I bet it would have lasted longer had the tip been properly glued in -- nowhere for the innards to go! 🤣
Yeah I had the exact same feeling😂
@@JimmyJim199yeah this was a jank ass test, and it still took a while for the blade to break. I think that’s a vote for confidence for most.

You know its difficult if the video is 9 minutes. Longer if you exclude editing
This looked like fun!
Jim's Revan shirt is awesome tho..Great video.
Impressive strength that blade is way more stronger than I expected I’ve never tried this with my saber I leave that to the professionals 😊
Congratulations on 34k!
Thanks 🤘
Great video gents

✊Great video
I just love your guys videos
Thanks 🤘
While you probably shouldn’t use them. You can if your a little gentle.
Okay guys, is there such a lightsaber that will be the same as the neo-pixel one, but you can fight hard with it?
Informative AND heartbreaking 😅 Usually it'll be the pins inside the hilt that break first too, so you may have killed the blade without even realising it on the blade itself 😭

What manufacturer is this?
Was this a heavy grade blade or regular blade?
