GOOD VIDEO ROB - MY WIFE AND I HAVE USED THESE MARKERS FOR YEARS (THOUGH OURS HAVE A THINNER CRAYON INSERT, BETTER FOR SMALLER PRINT BIBLES), THEY WORK GREAT!!! HINT/TIP; AFTER YOU HIGHLIGHT A PORTION IN YOUR BIBLE WIPE THE HIGHLIGHTED PORTION WITH TOILET PAPER OR A TISSUE BRISKLY FOR A FEW SECONDS, THAT WAY THERE WILL BE NO TRANSFER FROM ONE PAGE TO THE NEXT, NOR WILL THE PORTION THAT WAS HIGHLIGHTED FEEL WAXY OR STICKY!!!!!!! GOOD VIDEO, BRAVO, LORD BLESS!!!!!!!
Your video is one that I watched while trying to find a highlighter for my waterproof Bible. These work great! Note that not all the colors worked well. Some would ball up or scrape off. Enough of them worked very smoothly, though. 👍
Nice video review Rob. I have been meaning to try these. I currently use the Pigma Microns for notes and underlining. I use Sharpie Highlighters for the highlighting. They are the ones labeled "No Smear". They do not bleed through very much unless you really press down when marking. I have found that when you highlight a portion and then highlight in the same area on the back of a page there is a tendency for the paper to become thin. I guess this is due to the moisture content of most highlighters. I will be trying out the Crayola markers. Thanks again for the review. George / South Carolina
Thanks for the kind comments. Like yourself, I have used a number of different highlighters and have always been disappointed. Also the cost of proper bible highlighters is expensive. The twistables are great, do not bleed or show through and are really cheap. Hope that they work for you. Rob
I've been using the Twistable crayons for highlighting in my Bibles for years with great success and satisfaction. They can also be erased with one of those white magic erasers, and the Sharpie ART pens (not the regular Sharpie fine point markers) have no problem writing overtop of the crayoned highlights. The Micron .05's do fine for me too. Thanks for the great video. I admin a facebook group too that's all about Bible Marking (The Markings of a Well Read Bible). We discuss all kinds of marking tools and systems with lots of photos too if anyone's interested.
Hi, thanks for the reply. Thanks also for the recommendations for the magic erasers and Sharpie pens; I will be trying those. I will check out the facebook group too!
Thank you so much for doing this video! I noted that you said you'd been using this same pack for about three years, which answers my question as to whether the twistable crayons dry out rather quickly like some of the gel highlighters. I think these are the answer to having enough colors for inductive bible study!
Hi, thank you for your comment. I have found that even after all this time the crayons are just the same as when i first bought them and there is no sign of them drying out. They are are strange material; not quite as soft as a conventional crayon, but not as hard as a coloured pencil. The only problem is once they are on the page it is hard to write on top, but if you are just using them to highlight text, they are ideal. The great thing about them is that they are so cheap so you can try them without breaking the bank! Rob
I have the neon bible hi glider gel highlighters and I’m trying to find something with a more muted color scheme. Have you tried underlining with the Micron pen first and then highlighting?
Hi, I do underline with micron pens and then I highlight over the top and it works fine. However, it doesn't really work the other way around as the wax tends to stop the ink from marking. They do look nice on the page though. Quite a subtle effect.
Thanks for commenting. I am hoping to do a video where I test the Twistable Crayons, Normal Crayola crayons and the Twistable pencils and normal Crayola pencils on the same bible so people can see how they look when down on the page. Watch this space!
Thanks. Will hopefully be able to get around to this, but i do know that Jason Mayfield did a video on his channel a few months ago where he tested all the Crayola products together. If you search his name in UA-cam, you should be able to find the video.
Hi. Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. The short answer to your question is that there is no marking plan or code. it makes it easier for me as I just grab the first colour that comes to hand. Rob
Hi Bethany, the Bible is the Kjv Concorde Wide Margin from Cambridge bibles. You can also get different translations which are very similar if you look for the Aquila range of wide margin bibles also from Cambridge. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Sorry that I have not replied before now!
"They're not strictly a crayon." -- The most thoughtful comment I've ever heard made about a crayon...
Very helpful even in 2020. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful to you.

I use the yellow sharpie smear guard highlighter 📖.

Gretchen Taylor Have you tried the twistable colored pencils? Do you think the twistable crayons are better?
💮💮I use crayola pencil and wax in my bible it works well and crayola is cool to save up for on a budget

May I ask what is your marking plan or code?

Love this idea because my highlighter pens bleed through the page.
Can you tell me which Bible this is? I'm looking for a wide margin Bible.

@@robpettifer1586 thank you
What is the black pen you've used here for writing?
Hi, it is the pigma micron 01.
