    Didn’t bum me out at all! Gave me insight on your heart, which seems so compassionate. Your perspective on these experiences have given me new perspective. One of God's life lessons...to learn to be better people. I too have had terrible experiences as a child and would tell my little girl now just what you’ve suggested! God uses us as tools in His plans. Thanks once again!

    The test is amusing, because I have "side eyed" any crayon that isn't Crayola for YEARS (five decades, plus, to be exact...lol). This made me happy :-)

    I just came across my 14 year old crayola crayons but I was kinda disappointed because they were dry and I got so scared. BUT BUT watching this video and trying the Vaseline trick literally gave my old crayons life!! I am so so so happy. 7yo version of me is jumping rn. Thank you!!❤

    Wow that was so much fun! I got a 64 pack of crayola from local store (sooo cheap) and tried them out on my horrible cartridge paper (which is so common here in NZ). I found the dipping into petroleum jelly was awesome and I managed to get a blend, AND cover the white tooth with the wax pigment. Soo cool. I'm going to try a whole picture with this new technique

    I just found the best crayons on Amazon. They are called Not your Ordinary Crayons by NOYO. You get 36 twistable crayons for 16 dollars. It's 3 in one it can be a crayon. It can be a watercolor. And it can be a pastel. So far I like them as crayons the best. I love how smooth they are compared to regular crayons. I highly recommend them. They remind me of neo 2s. But they have a thicker core. Are smoother in their natural state. And not as vivid as watercolors. But you can layer. And you can add prismacolors on top of the watercolor for shading :-) sorry this was so long. But I hope you see this have a wonderful day!

    I have 3 granddaughters of various ages - 8-18 yrs old- who love art like I do, so I want to try these techniques (always with Crayolas) & my hairdryer. As soon as the pandemic is over & we can get together. In the meantime I’m turning them on to your You-Tube channel. I love your presentations & your fun spirit. It’s like having a conversation with a girlfriend. I couldn’t get my husband to try any of these things (He’s an electric engineer) but he Likes to watch me do it like your Steve

    I actually love both my twistables but when I use them I keep it very simple, I don't worry as much about perfect shading and gradients but I do get pretty good results with them both. I think Prisma should figure out how to put their cores in a twistable that self sharpens... we all would buy it.

    Very interesting, especially your experiment at the end with using heat with the crayons! Makes me wonder if it would work with the Cra-z-Art pencils. I'm not crazy about those either. I like the color Wildfire, but the rest are just not very pigmented and I can't get many layers with them. Hmmm....maybe some experimenting is called for! 😊

    The erasers that are put on the ends of #2 pencils on school would work really well. A pile of blue capped and yellow capped for example. Would give you a very fair way to compare.

  • @bluefinger02
    @bluefinger02 6 років тому

    Once I covered my pencils with straws and gave to my husband and tell him to compare and make notes (about 15 different kinds) I had all kinds of budget ones and few open stock expensive ones including Holbein, I told him there is Holbein among them. He knew I wanted to get a set and still contemplating to make it happen. He picked Holbein for the best feel and feela was one of the top five (I don’t remember all) he said Holbein feels like most quality product. 😏
    I really hope you do the blind pencil comparison segment. You can wrap with paper to make barrels the same size or something. That would be so much fun! 😘

    in case no one has mentioned it you can buy replacement nibs for the posca pens and you can refill the pens if you are careful. I just refilled my white posca pen with white acrylic tube paint, just thin it out with water first. I did make a bit of a mess though, lol.
