Just a friendly remark… i used to call them Midliners for the longest time, but they’re actually MILDliners. ☺️💚
I enjoyed this video and found it informative and appreciate your thoroughness.

The best pens are the Pentel Energel. They WILL NOT smear & they dry fast! If you get the .03 size they don't bleed through most paper. I also use the Uni Propus highlighters in most of my bibles, but some of the darker colors will bleed through the page. (And there is not a single highlighter in existence that is completely bleed-proof!)
The pastel set of Tombow Dual Brush pens works well, and in my experience they don't bleed through any paper that I've tried.

I've had my gel highlighters for 3 years and have never experienced the 'crystalization' you spoke about.
The 'waxy' feel: I always take a napkin and rub over the highlighting and it's just fine as well as one can write on the highlighted text.
The MILDliners do bleed and shadow in many Bibles. Whether one is heavy handed or light handed.
I'll continue to use my gel highlighters and the Micron pens in my Bible as I've had the best experience with them. Thank you for sharing 😊💜🙏

I have some gels that crystallized. Mr. pen hi lighters don’t do that.

I use gel hi liters. And yes they make the pages stick together. I just put a Kleenex on top of the hilighted area in my Bible. And in a while the stickiness is gone.

Thank you for this honest review. I was trying to get the DGC wax markers and after watching your videos I removed them from my shopping cart. 😁❤

Michelle, do the S-Note sharpies maintain their color and highlight in the Bible? Does the color fade over time? Thank you.

Have you found any that aren't just dim pastel colors? The mildliners are wonderful, but their colors are all pale.

I wanted to like Midliners because of the wonderful variety of colors but they did bleed through and ruin the back side of the page so that's not acceptable.

I agree. Someone let me try one of my new bible and they are okay if I am really careful to not press hard. But yeah where the ink first meets the page I usually have a little bleed through, which is annoying

Me too… now I use them on my planner or my son uses them for school.

Yes they are ones you have to be careful with, you cannot press hard. Also it really depends on what type of Bible you are using as well. Its best to test them out on a page in the very back of your Bible first.

I would steer clear of water based pens, having archival ink that’s pigment based acid free will keep you from having smearing problems. Their are affordable versions of these type of pens and worth getting a few rather than buying a big set of water based pens that’ll give you problems. Smaller tip sizes equal less ink on the page which keeps bleed through on the low end & you can squeeze more words in if you’re taking notes in small margin bibles. And when possible, pick acid free highlighters in my opinion. Acid in stationary products will yellow the paper and distort colors over time.
