- Today I’m going to make a mung bean sprout side dish with my homegrown mung bean sprouts. If you followed my directions and harvested your sprouts already, this is perfect timing for you and you’re ready to start!

Boil for one minute, remove and place into cold water immediately to keep crispiness, mix and rinse with hands, then grab and shake out of water to remove skins.cut up two garlic clove,and two green onion, two teaspoons of fish sauce, half a teaspoon of salt (or 3 teaspoons fish sauce no salt) one tablespoon sesame oil, one teaspoon sesame seeds mix into the bean sprouts

How long can i store this at my fridge after i made this dishes?
I never had bean sprouts until I went to college, it was my very favorite! Once I discovered sesame oil years later I fell in love. Now I grow my own sprouts thanks to your videos. Thank you ♥️

Thank you for a great recipe, Maangchi! I have to say that this combination of flavors, including umami that we get from the fish sauce, is really addictive! To increase the umami flavor I have added one more ingredient - dried seaweed bits that we use in miso soup. After adding seaweed the salad should be allowed to stand for about 30 minutes for the seaweed to absorb the moisture and to become chewy as a seaweed used in salads as well as to mix with flavors of other ingredients. I realize this addition is not a traditional Korean way, but I wanted to share this with your subscribers as this experiment worked out really well.
I made this over a week ago and my husband LOVED it. So I'm making it again ❤ Thank you this will become a regular side!

Thank you for sharing this recipe! My mother really loves to make a dish similar to this, but instead of blanching the mung bean sprouts, she stir fries them with the other ingredients. I guess your recipe can be a great less-oily alternative to this deliciously simple side dish 😊

Hi Maangcchi! I tried this. It was my first experience cooking with sesame oil. I liked it. The mung beans were crunchy and tasty. Not so sure about the sesame oil though. I will try it again.

Joyte Gotame Korean Hot pepper paste “Gochujang” which is not even hot but has a unique taste! Korean hot peppers are different so it always has to be Korean peppers when making Korean dishes!

Made this yesterday, to total approval, with some cucumber in it, from sprouts that for the first time in 30 years were straight and thick, thanks to your method. Thanks for the recipe! We ate them with nassi goreng and tempeh, this dish is good for Indonesian food too!

I made this for lunch. It was my main meal. So yummy! I followed the recipe to a tee except I added a little more fish sauce. I like the salty flavor. I also like spicy so I added a chopped Serrano pepper. But so good!

You can keep it for about 3 days in the fridge. You don't have to reheat it.

Nice hairy eatables. I really liked how you did it. Before your video I never sprouted mung more than just budding them with sprouts thst too once in a new moon. I loved the hairs or stems ..I dont know what is the right word for those thin long slender white things that come out of mung beans after soaking them in water the way you showed. Once I started to do it, I did it for a long time. I wanted to check your method again as I decided to redo it once more. Thanks a lot, it is nice to see you in these cooking videos.💛
