My chinese father moved to Cuba in the 70's and married my mother there. He bought a nice house and as a child I went with him to the roof top of the house where he grew bean sprouts and dried shrimp. Since he worked in a chinese newspaper printing company there, he had access to a surplus of old newspapers that he used on the roof top to grow the sprouts. He would make setup a thick bed of newspaper, lay out the seeds and cover it with a thin layer. Those sprouts grew long and full. He would sell dried shrimp and bean sprouts in the black market.

This explanation of how to grow the real Asian style fat and long white bean sprouts is perfect and the best I've seen from many youtube clips I've seen. My husband tried it out directly and it really turned out great! Now it's my turn to try it out! Her recipe also seems awesome. I love the fact that she is authentic from Asia where they use bean sprouts a lot in their cooking. A great how to video clip!

Hi @Souped up Recipes!! 👋😊 WOW! So I followed your instructions to a T, and just harvested my very first batch of organic soy beans sprouts! 😃👍 At every stage, they looked exactly like yours. I'm so happy right now! 😆 I have them now in a zip lock bag in fridge & will probably do a stir fry tonight. Tip: I used organic soy beans from an organic grocery store. They were not "vacuum sealed", but in a bag with plenty of air👍
And they worked great! 🙌💞THANK YOU🙏

Friend, since when does a different opinion equal HATE??
It sounds to me like the one with “issues” is you. Those thumbs down could simply mean someone disagrees with the method taught. I was taught a completely different and much more complicated method of bean sprouting. The baby sprouts had to be compressed under a heavy weight for a couple of days. In this area , the hard core sprouters still insist on this method. I love this new simple method. It’s much quicker, easier, and has a much higher success rate. I seriously doubt any of the old method sprouters HATE this dear woman or her teaching. They have a different opinion--which they were asked to express through a thumbs up or down! Everyone calling anything and everything HATE is what is causing HATE!!!
