Thank you for a very important video. It was great and not many people have access to this kind of information. You are a genius. Thank you very much. I liked your video for its clarity, information, and super clear video and commentary. Great work.
FYI, the Installation Manual diagram for the back panel of a head unit for AVH-1440 and others mention the harness is a power supply, but it is also supplying audio connectivity as well.
I have the Pioneer DMH 1500Nex and im setting up the wire right now. Can i connect the orange with white wire to the solid orange? Also i have a solid blue wire that says power antenna, can i connect that to blue with white stripe?
The Blue wire with white stripe on the Pioneer wire harness is for switching on external amplifiers, power antennas, and any other component that needs to switch on and off with the in-dash receiver. The Orange wire with white stripe on the Pioneer wire harness it for automatically dimming the illumination on the in-dash receiver with the vehicle's lights. I don't know what orange wire you are trying to connect so I don't know if it's ok to connect it. You don't need to connect the Orange/White wire on the Pioneer harness, you can dim the lights based on the time of day if you want. You can learn more about it here: ua-cam.com/video/UaGlwjkZVo4/v-deo.html You can find a full playlist of How To videos about Pioneer NEX in-dash receivers here: ua-cam.com/video/kpKYks-17gM/v-deo.html Please be sure to install the latest firmware for your Pioneer DMH-1500NEX. Hello pioneer! I have a AVH-X8550BT and i was installed on Kia Rio HB. That is has Ilumination wire (+) and Ilumination wire (-) . Where i would be conect the orange and white wire?
Thank you for linking me to this video, if I choose to wire my stereo to dim when headlights are on but am using headlights in the day, can I override the auto dimmer? Can you set it so it only dims in the evening when headlights are turned on with the timer?
You can change the dimmer setting on the receiver as often as you want. If you choose the timer setting, the lights dim at the selected time. For example 8:00 PM. and the lights come back up to selected brightness at the selected time. For example 6:00 AM. The position of the vehicle lighting switch does not matter.
I have a Pioneer sph-10bt. Does it draw power from the battery, if I have taken the screen off? There is NO on/off wire available on my vehicle. My problem is that the wiring on my Jeep Compass -07 consists of only 2 power cables which are connected to the battery. I was thinking I would keep it that way, and shut the player down every time I leave vehicle for longer period by taking the screen with me (as I should anyways).
If you take the face off of the Pioneer SPH-10BT, the system shuts down. It still draws a very small amount of power to operate it's clock and keep it's internal settings. Another option would be to install a toggle switch on the Red Wire, and use it as an on/off switch. Please be sure to install the latest firmware update for your Pioneer SPH-10BT. I've read some to the older comments. I think that I know what I need to do. I have the Crux Cub-15 camera. From what you have told other people on here, I think that I need to connect the camera to a accessory-on(switched 12v source) so that it's powered when the key is in the acc and/or on position, and then connect the purple/white wire to the reverse light (+) source. Is this correct?
Red is accessory. Black is ground. Do not connect the purple wire with the white stripe to the camera that is the reverse gear signal for the in-dash receiver is a common connection to backup lamp terminal on your vehicle
How can I get the Parkin brake switch wire to work w/o hooking it to the parking brake switch it’s self! I want all the options of this head unit available to me at all times!
I'm trying to install a Pioneer AVH-Z5200DAB into my 2009 Mazda 6 with a Bose amp but couldn't get any sound so thank you for explaining the blue/white wire but I'm not sure where to connect it. Have checked & am sure I have the correct aftermarket harnesses etc. Any tips?
I recommend to bypass the OEM amplifiers completely and use aftermarket amplifiers and speakers. If you want to use the OEM amplifiers, I recommend to use an aftermarket interface that will allow OEM amplifier retention for your particular vehicle. Many are available, here is one possibility: catalog.pac-audio.com/catalog/radio-replacement/rp4-mz11 If you are having issues with the interface, please contact the manufacturer of the interface for install help. Or take your vehicle to a qualifier car audio installer shop for help. You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
I have the AVH -120 BT I know red is for power, but I don't see or have a red wire. The closest it looks is pink. Would that be it or did I buy a stereo with no red wire?
Maybe the red is a little faded in color. If you can identify all of the other wire colors shown in the video, Yellow, Black, Blue, Orange, Green, Purple, Gray, White, the only thing left is red. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

There's a black wire on my factory harness. So do you wire that to the receiver ground? Or do you ground the receiver to metal/ chassis? And what do I do with the other factory black wire?
The Pioneer Wire Harness Colors are not designed to match the wiring in any particular Make, Model, or Year of vehicle. If there are colors that match, that is pure coincidence. If the black wire in your vehicle is a Ground capable of supporting 10 amps DC then it's a good ground connection for the black wire in the Pioneer car stereo wire harness. I recommend using a Wire Harness adapter for your particular vehicle. You can find many options here: metraonline.com/parts/MET-TURBOW If you don't understand what you are doing I recommend going to a qualified car stereo shop for installation help. 3:14 (the purple/white wire). I used a Crux camera. It has red and black wires at the rear part (near the actual camera) of the harness. I connected the red wire to the positive wire on the reverse light, and I connected the black wire to a chassis ground. I then connected the "video" input wire into the head unit. The camera activates when I place the car in reverse, but will not activate when I push the "camera view" icon on the radio. I'm thinking that I did not connect the purple/white wire to anything. If I didn't connect the purple/white wire to anything, can I just connect it to an "accessory on" power input wire?
You don't need buy antything. Light green wire (from the unit station) stick to the grund (somethig metal). I did that in my Chrysler 300c 2007 and I have all setting visible all the time and I can watch movie while driving :D Simple and priceless. Regards from Poland where imposible is nothing :)
I have a 2004 gmc yukon xl...bought the 491bhs...love it...where do I hook up the purple wire to if I don't want to run a cable to the back..I have camera but having problems, diagram,
If you don't know how to install please seek professional help at a car stereo install shop. The camera should have power when the vehicle is powered on. Deckerd Otto umm it's one cable I needed to know..I installed the radio...all I needed to know was what cable the back purple went too...I was just hoping for help here...so I'm still looking for the color of my brake light on my 04 xl....
I've attached everything correctly based on this video and the wire harness info and for some reason I'm getting battery draw after everything is turned off and key removed. I pulled the fuse and the draw stops so I know its the radio or the amp as the issue. I removed the radio completely and the amp test shows a draw even with the radio removed. I pulled the fuse again and it stops. My guess is that the amp is not turning off. did I do something wrong with the wiring? it worked perfectly fine when I had a single DIN pioneer prior. any thoughts on how to stop this draw?
Please focus on the Red wire for ignition and the yellow wire for constant power from the vehicle. If the amplifier is staying on it's power indicator should be lit up. Check the blue and white system remote control at the dash and at the amplifier.
Do not expect the wire colors of your Pioneer receiver to match the vehicle. Any color match that may happen is purely coincidence. The Blue/white System Remote Control wire on the back of the Pioneer receiver is used to switch on / off external devices that need to switch on and off with the in-dash receiver. For example an external amplifier. You can view the blue/white wire as the amplifiers on/off switch. You can see where this wire connects to a Pioneer amplifier in this video: ua-cam.com/video/99Hfmc8QxVc/v-deo.html This does not power the external amplifier. It only switched the amp on and off. An external amplifier still requires power and ground to operate. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Am I supposed to connect the blue and white wire from the pioneer harness to the solid blue wire on aftermarket dash kit? I do have an external amp btw
The Blue Wire with White stripe is used to automatically switch on and off external amplifier and other systems like a power antenna. If you have an external amplifier, I recommend to extend the Blue/White wire from the Pioneer in-dash receiver and connect directly to the external amplifier at the system control terminal. The Blue/White wire can be run along beside the RCA cables from the in-dash receiver to the external amplifier. Deckerd, I have an 02 Trailblazer with a AVH2800BS that I’m attempting to install a ND-BC8. I don’t have a purple wire with white stripe, only solid purple and purple with black stripe. I’ve successfully powered up the camera, but what can I wire to so the camera comes on when in reverse? Thanks for any help you can provide
The Purple/White or Violet/White wire seen here ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html is part of the original Pioneer AVH-X2800BS wiring harness. The Purple Wire and Purple/Black stripe wires are for the Right Rear speaker output seen here: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html Are you using a different wire harness than the original part included with the product? The owner's manual for the Pioneer AVH-X2800BS lists the Violet/White wire as the Reverse Gear switch. This will open the camera window on the in-dash receiver automatically when the vehicle is in reverse. You can find a diagram of the wire harness in the owner's manual here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD+Receivers/AVH-X2800BS#manuals Look on Page 54. Alright so quick question. Hooked up my aftermarket camera. The camera had a input end for the video feed to the stereo. And one end for power and ground. Now the video feed cable has a red wire sticking out next to the yellow input end. On the stereo end I hooked up the camera input to the brown port for rear cam feed and the red wire next to it I connected to the reverse wire. Was that correct or not ? Also the other end of the yellow video feed cable , I didn’t do anything with that red wire next to it.
You got the camera plugged into the Brown RCA camera input on the back of the Pioneer in-dash receiver. That's good. The rest sounds like it may be incorrect. Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to work with the Pioneer ND-BC8 backup camera. I don’t know about the operation of other cameras. Be sure to plug the Brown camera output RCA into the Brown RCA Input on the back of the Pioneer in dash receiver. The Pioneer ND-BC8 camera needs power and ground to operate. The camera should always have power when the vehicle is switched on. And the camera should power off when the vehicle is switched off. This is very similar to the way the Red Ignition wire works on a Pioneer in-dash receiver. The purple/white wire is used to let the in-dash receiver know that the vehicle is in reverse and to open the backup camera window on the receiver screen. Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera. When you put the vehicle in it’s reverse gear, the Purple/White wire should sense a change in voltage. This opens the camera window on the in-dash receiver. And closes the camera window, when the vehicle is taken out of it’s reverse gear. One possibly connection for the Purple/White Reverse Gear wire is back up lamp terminal. Here is a video about camera operation: ua-cam.com/video/tWi_kVPg2M4/v-deo.html Here is a video about the Pioneer ND-BC8 camera: ua-cam.com/video/kg0IaGC3JbE/v-deo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
I recommend to contact the camera manufacturer for help with the camera. I am not an expert on the camera you have or it's connections. I can only tell you about the Pioneer receiver and a Pioneer ND-BC8 camera. The camera should power up and be on ,at all times, when the vehicle is on. The camera should power down and shut off, with no power draw , when the vehicle is powered down. The Pioneer camera has a Red ignition switched Power wire and a Black Ground wire. The Pioneer camera also has a Brown Male RCA to connect to the Brown Female RCA jack of the Pioneer receiver. If you don't connect the in-dash receiver's Purple/White Reverse Gear Wire, to anything, simply as a test, you should be able to open and close the camera view window on the in-dash receiver , manually from the receiver's home screen, at any time the vehicle is running and see the camera view on the in-dash receiver. This does not require reverse gear at all. If you can manually switch the camera view on and off, and see the camera view, on the receiver screen, you know the camera is wired correctly. If you can't see the camera view in this test the camera is wired incorrectly. After you know the camera is wired correctly, it's just a matter of getting the Purple/White wire connected to the correct terminal on your reverse light so that it sees a change in 12 volt voltage when the vehicle is put in it's reverse gear or taken out of it's reverse gear. The Battery/Positive setting is by far the most common setting used in many installations. The Purple/White wire from the receiver should never touch the camera or an camera wires in any place at any time. The Purple/White reverse gear wire should run from the back of the in-dash receiver to the backup light on the vehicle. When you put the vehicle in reverse, the backup light switches on, and this in turn shows the purple/white reverse gear wire a 12 volt positive input. This will automatically open the camera window on the in-dash receiver.
Hi I am using the wireless Bluetooth reverse camera . I am getting a blank screen however I am just wondering should I connect the purple and white wire to a ground connection
Is the camera powered up? Is the camera plugged into the Brown, backup camera input on the receiver? The receiver's violet/white wire is used to automatically open and close the camera window on the in-dash receiver when the vehicle is in it's reverse gear. It's typically connected to the vehicle's back up lights. This is very similar to the way the Red Accessory wire works on a Pioneer in-dash receiver. Just because the camera has power does not mean you are viewing the camera window on the in-dash receiver. The receiver’s violet/white wire is used to let the in-dash receiver know that the vehicle is in it’s reverse gear and, to automatically open the backup camera window on the receiver screen. Do not connect the violet/White wire to the camera. When you put the vehicle in it’s reverse gear, the violet/White wire should sense a change in voltage. This automatically opens the camera window on the in-dash receiver. And closes the camera window, when the vehicle is taken out of it’s reverse gear. One possibly connection for the violet/White Reverse Gear wire is the vehicle’s backup lamp terminal. I have a Scosche SU03B harness that has an orange wire and an orange and white wire. The Pioneer AVH-200EX factory harness has ONLY an orange and white wire. Do I need to connect the orange and white wire and leave the orange wire disconnected, or should I forget both of these wires? I know they are for illumination, but I'd like to know how to connect these orange and orange/white wires. Thanks for any help!
The AVH-200EX orange wire with white stripe can be used to automatically dim the illumination when the vehicle light switch is set to on. The AVH-200EX also has an illumination Timer setting available. With the illumination timer, the in dash receiver will dim based on the time of day, regardless of the position of the vehicle lighting switch. You can see this operate with a similar in dash receiver model here: ua-cam.com/video/Kg5wYnQbWKI/v-deo.html When using the Illumination Timer, no connection for the Orange/White wire is required.
I am installing this SPH 10BT unit in a Motorhome to replace an older Pioneer model. If I use the wiring harness supplied the unit works as it should with the ignition key in position 1 but unfortunately in this position other items also power up like the vehicle’s fan and the rear view camera. This is not what we want when we are parked up in the evening and want to listen to music. However the previous unit was wired with red and yellow together so if I use this harness I am able to listen to music without they key in position 1 but appreciate there will be battery drain if left for long periods. Is there an alternative ‘safer’ way? Secondly, I have set the display to Not go off but I am not able to get the clock to show at all on the display. The unit has a built in clock which is set correctly but it is never visible.
For Pioneer SPH-10BT, you can view the Yellow wire as the memory wire. If you disconnect this wire the in-dash receiver's memory will be lost. Yellow should always have power from the vehicle's battery when the key is on, or when the key is off. You can view the Red wire as the in-dash receiver's on/off switch. On and off with the key is a typical installation meaning the key position controls power to the red wire. In your case, you may consider using a toggle switch on the red wire. To be clear, you could wire Red and Yellow together, and use the toggle switch on the red wire to power the in-dash receiver on and off when you want. Please note, if you leave the toggle switch on, the receiver will stay on, and may drain the battery. For the clock, the SPH-10BT is not a typical Pioneer receiver. It is designed from the ground up to be 100% operated by using the Pioneer Smart Sync app on your phone, and to have the phone mounted in the receiver's integrated phone cradle. When you have the Pioneer Smart Sync app on your phone, the app will display the clock on the phone screen. You can learn more about the Pioneer Smart Sync app here: ua-cam.com/video/NSE1mP_pEpo/v-deo.html Please be sure to install the latest firmware on your Pioneer SPH-10BT. The latest firmware is critical to most reliable operation of the receiver with the phone. Hi I need help with the rear camera which has Red/Yellow and Black wires how to wire, which is power, i just changed my Panasonic radio and need to use my Japanese camera in Pioneer AVH-A215
In Pioneer's wiring system, Yellow is constant power, Red is switched power, and black is ground. This may not be the same for other brands of products. I suggest to contact the product manufacturer for support. Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to work with the Pioneer ND-BC8 backup camera. I don’t know about the operation of other cameras. Be sure to plug the Brown camera output RCA into the Brown RCA Input on the back of the Pioneer in dash receiver. Your Pioneer AVH-A215BT uses a composite RCA video input for it's backup camera. If the camera you want to use has a composite RCA video output, the camera should work with the Pioneer in-dash receiver. You can see the camera input on a similar receiver here: ua-cam.com/video/ytUlUsi15Uc/v-deo.html The Pioneer ND-BC8 camera needs power and ground to operate. The camera should always have power when the vehicle is switched on. And the camera should power off when the vehicle is switched off. Hi just bought a Pioneer AVH-290BT and wired everything.. but I have the Metre 40-Ni12 that has the blue wire and connected this wire to the white/blue wire but still have bad radio reception any detail or help?
I have just rechecked my cable the light green is connected to the black cable, should this then be connected to the red power cable and will this allow my reverse camera to work At the moment my dvd is working without the need for my handbrake to work on or off

You can learn more about this here: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html You can not watch DVD or USB video without the vehicle's Parking Brake engaged. You can learn more about this on page 3 of the installation manual here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/QRD3830B.pdf The backup camera has nothing to do with the Light Green wire and should not be connected to the camera in any way. Do not connect the black wire and red wire together. Thanks! Sorry, first time trying to do aftermarket head unit. I've put my new AVH-2300nex in my 2007 Pilot with Nav (removed the old radio and navi). Radio, bluetooth etc. all works now, I can make call. But I've yet to figure out how to add backup camera, which is why I asked my first question. I'm trying to use the wireless camera, I think I know how to connect it, but don't know where to connect the reverse gear line. Thanks for answering my question. Now my last piece is the long green line left (parking break), can you help me on where should I connect it to?
@@theelusiveone147 Backup cam works great, but I could't find the right fuse in the front side fuse box to connect, so I had to put a wire all the way to the backup light which was quite a pain.
I'm installing the Pioneer ND-BC8 reverse camera that goes with this but stuck on how to wire the red wire from the camera? Do I connect to the reverse wire? What's the purple and white wire actually for as.mentioned in the video...do I connect that to something?
The camera should power on when the vehicle is switched on and the camera should power off when the vehicle is switched off. Just because the camera has power does not mean you are viewing the camera image. Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera. Purple/White is used to let the in-dash receiver know the vehicle is in it's reverse gear and that will automatically open the backup camera window on the in-dash receiver. One possible place to connect the Purple/White wire is the vehicle reverse lamp. You can find a Camera Set Up video here: ua-cam.com/video/tWi_kVPg2M4/v-deo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Yes, if you want the camera to automatically show on the in-dash receiver screen when you put the vehicle in reverse, and to close the camera window when you put the vehicle in another gear. If you don't connect the Purple/White wire the camera will only come on when you manually switch it on from the receiver's home screen.
The Blue wire with White stripe is commonly used as an on/off switch for a power antenna or an external amplifier. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Hi there, looking for some help if possible, I have a pioneer AVH Z9200dab head unit, I have a reversing camera installed that works off the reverse pulse, I have bought a second pioneer camera for the front but I’m finding it difficult to under stand how it Connects, I seem to be missing a fly lead of some sorts, would you have any knowledge on this particular model, or if you could help me in any way I’d appreciate it. ??
The 2nd camera connects to the Yellow RCA AV input on the back of the receiver labeled Video input. Make sure you're connecting to the AV input and not the output. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/uympbLEIOsc/v-deo.html You'll also need to assign this input as a camera. i have a manual car and was wondering how i can bypass the parking brake switch, seeing how my e brake doesnt work whatsoever (no cable, and no wire) thanks.
So just to be clear, the Bluetooth Settings menu and other menus are disabled unless the light green wire is wired to the parking/emergency brake switch? My car is an automatic and the parking brake switch is buried under a lot of trim panels; is there no way to connect it so that those menus are enabled when the vehicle is just shifted into park?
So I have the AVH-120BT touch screen I did everything right connecting the wire harness radio worked great for a year then one day it just wouldn't turn on and hasn't turned on in days
There are several possible causes of the receiver not powering on as normal. 1. A wire has become disconnected. I recommend to check the Red, Yellow, and Black connections. If any of these connections are loose or disconnected, the receiver may not power up. After driving for a year, it's not uncommon for a wire to vibrate loose. 2. A blown fuse. There is a fuse on the back of the in-dash receiver at the wire harness connection. It may need to be replaced. In addition, I recommend to check the fuses in the vehicle panel for power to the receiver Red and Yellow connections. 3. I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on Pioneer AVH-120BT just below the USB port on the front of the receiver. Hello. I have a AVH-X3700DAB. My problem is that every time i start my car, i have to connect my phone to the radio manually. Is it a cable i have to connect so i dont need to do that?
The Pioneer AVH-X3700DAB was manufactured back in 2013-2014. Please be sure your phone is not connected to another device such as a headset or a portable speaker. This can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. Also be sure your receiver is not connected to another phone, this can also block a phone from connecting. Be sure Auto Connect is switched on in the receiver's Bluetooth Connection Menu as shown here: ua-cam.com/video/NuPU81smtVA/v-deo.html I recommend to delete all of the phones from the in-dash receiver's Bluetooth Memory. You can see this on a similar receiver here: ua-cam.com/video/NuPU81smtVA/v-deo.html Next press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the AVH-X3700DAB at the top of the hard key panel beside eject. Next, delete the in-dash receiver from the phone's Bluetooth memory. Next restart your phone. Now begin the phone pairing process from the beginning. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/2-8BdQ6TK0Y/v-deo.html Please be sure your Pioneer AVH-X3700DAB has the latest firmware installed. I’m assuming it is okay to do this but then again I have never had a head unit with reverse camera option! So with that being said, is it okay to hook up the reverse gear input wire to a 12 volt power source with a toggle switch so I can manually flip it on my self? I don’t wanna do any damage to the unit by over powering it or anything of that sort! Thx in Advance!
You did not mention what in dash receiver you have. Many Pioneer receivers have an on screen button to switch the camera on at any time. You don't need a switch. You can see that in this video: ua-cam.com/video/WY0GLsC3AxE/v-deo.html
The AVIC-8200NEX has one additional wire in the harness. It's a pink wire for VSS or Vehicle Speed Sense that can be tapped into the car's VSS wire for better accuracy when using internal navigation.
The wire color codes in the video above should be identical for the Pioneer AVH-120BT. What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? Pioneer receivers with dedicated backup camera input use the Violet/White wire for the reverse gear signal input. You can see it in this Pioneer How To video: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html The in-dash receiver can be set up to use a positive or a negative input signal from the vehicle. You can see it in this Pioneer How To video: ua-cam.com/video/tWi_kVPg2M4/v-deo.html In most cases, you'll use the positive 12 volt input from the vehicle's back up lamp terminal to trigger the camera window to open. Not every vehicle works this way. That's why the negative or ground option is available. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Don't connect your camera to the back up light. The camera should have power and ground when the vehicle is switched on. The purple/white wire let's the in dash receiver know when to switch to the camera input.
I can't get my back up camera to work. The power red wire is connect to my camera and the black wire to the a ground. the RCA with the red wire is connect to a red wire (12V) coming off the adapter wire harness. but this doesn't power the reverse camera nor does it power the camera view on my 2300NEX, please help. Should I connect the red wire near the camera to the reverse light and then connect the pig tail red wire near the HU to the purple/wire for the reverse gear?
If you don't understand what you are doing, I recommend taking your vehicle to a car stereo shop for help with installation. Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to work with the Pioneer ND-BC8 backup camera. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/kg0IaGC3JbE/v-deo.html For help with another camera contact the camera manufacturer. Be sure to plug the Brown camera output RCA into the Brown RCA Input on the back of the Pioneer in dash receiver. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/tWi_kVPg2M4/v-deo.html The Pioneer ND-BC8 camera needs power and ground to operate. The camera should always have power when the vehicle is switched on. And the camera should power off when the vehicle is switched off. This is very similar to the way the Red Ignition wire works on a Pioneer in-dash receiver. Red is ignition. Black is ground. Just because the camera has power does not mean you are viewing the camera window on the in-dash receiver. The purple/white wire is used to let the in-dash receiver know that the vehicle is in reverse and to open the backup camera window on the receiver screen. Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera. You can learn more about the Pioneer Wire Harness here: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html When you put the vehicle in it’s reverse gear, the Purple/White wire should sense a change in voltage. This opens the camera window on the in-dash receiver. And closes the camera window, when the vehicle is taken out of it’s reverse gear. One possibly connection for the Purple/White Reverse Gear wire is back up lamp terminal. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Can anyone tell me what the blue/yellow wire is for? I was able to connect all of the other wires except for one left which was the blue/yellow. Any thoughts?
The Pioneer wire harness system is not designed to match the wire colors of Any Given make model or year of vehicle. Any match of colors is purely coincidental.
My parking assist is gray out on my head unit WT7600 nex but I have backup sensor on my vehicle 2013 ford edge with ford sync, please need help, did I wired it wrong? Let know
Please be more specific with your question. There are several possible issues here. 1. The Backup Sensor, or proximity alert system is independent from the backup camera and parking assist line option. You can learn more about how the Parking assist lines work on a similar Pioneer receiver here: ua-cam.com/video/WY0GLsC3AxE/v-deo.html The factory backup sensor or proximity alert requires the use of an idatalink Maestro RR or RR2 for operation with this receiver. You can see a Pioneer video about is here: ua-cam.com/video/GX8bETHjZkg/v-deo.html You can learn more about Maestro RR here: maestro-fit-guide.idatalink.com/ You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
The Blue with White stripe wire is usually used to switch on external amplifiers or other remote devices that switch on when the in dash receiver is on. Most 3rd party steering wheel control adapters will have their own power and ground connections and plug into the receiver through the dedicated 3.5mm jack on the back of the receiver. You can see the back of a receiver in this video: ua-cam.com/video/s-RuRzsRfE8/v-deo.html
Please be more specific with your question. Do you mean the vehicle is switched off, key removed, and door open, and the amplifier remains on? Or do you mean you have switched the In-dash receiver Source off with no music and the amplifier remains on until the vehicle is powered off ? Your receiver may have an option for Source Off and for Power Off as seen here: ua-cam.com/video/SMHohqS7DSk/v-deo.html With AVH-Z7200DAB, you may have 2 different Blue/White wires. One for external components like an amplifier and one for a power DAB antenna. Please be sure you are connecting your amplifier to the correct wire. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
A couple more question about this. Are you sure you're using the original Pioneer Wire Harness for this receiver? You've mentioned the Blue remote Wire. Is this wire Blue with White Stripe or solid Blue?
You'll need to engage the vehicle's Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation to access all of the menu options on the screen. This might also be called an Emergency Brake, or a Hand Brake. If you engage the Parking Brake and still can't access the menu options, your vehicle may have an incorrect connection to the Green Parking Brake Wire on the in-dash receiver. You can learn more about the Green Parking Brake Wire in this Pioneer Wire Harness video: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html You can see it operate in this video: ua-cam.com/video/G5hyqr2LyA4/v-deo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Deckerd Otto so i can could always see videos with the handbrake on or off the video usually cuts off once the car speed exceeds 20km. im not really interested in video display while driving because its not safe, what i want is the bluetooth connection
The Green Parking Brake Wire is the key. The Parking Brake needs to be engage to use the Bluetooth Settings. You can see it operate on the Bluetooth Settings in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Z9VTZHWPzkQ/v-deo.html If you engage the Parking Brake and still can't get to the Bluetooth Settings, your vehicle may have an incorrect connection to the Green Parking Brake Wire. You can try to press the microprocessor reset button on the in-dash receiver. If this does not correct the issue, go back to the Green Parking Brake Wire.
Pioneer video receivers are designed to be used in vehicle's with an operating Parking Brake. You’ll need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu or video playback. This might also be known as the Hand Brake or the Emergency Brake. AVH-X391BHS. The online retailer support (excellent support) told me to combine the pioneer blue, blue white wire to the blue adapter wire for a 02 Sequoia install. It has a JBL amp sound system install. I also have a micro bypass relay soldered on this line. The back up camera, and radio work great. Excellent sound, seamless WAZE operation, bluetooth and wireless operation. Should I separate out the blue ant. signal wire? Backup camera comes on when reverse is selected and returns to radio when out of reverse. Thanks for any advice.
On the AVH-X391BHS press the "Home" hard key and then touch the "AV " button on screen. In the AV window choose "Power Off". This should shut down the in dash receiver and shut down all accessories connected through the blue wire with white stripe. Choose "power off" not "source off". "Source Off" will not put the power antenna down. When source off is selected, the in dash receiver will stay powered up and all connected accessories will remain powered up even though no music source is playing. When any music source is selected, the blue/white wire will provide a signal to power up any connected accessory including amplifiers and power antenna.
I'm not sure what AVS-200EX is. If you mean AVH-200EX, there should be a red wire. If you are seeing a Red and a Pink wire you have the wrong wire harness. Go back to the store where you bought it and ask for the correct harness. A Pioneer wire harness with a Pink wire is used for in dash receivers with built-in navigation. The pink wire is for VSS or vehicle speed. AVH-200EX does not have this. You can find more videos about AVH-200EX here: ua-cam.com/video/NBItGvxIk24/v-deo.html
I do not recommend to wire your in-dash receiver this way. It's not difficult to wire your in-dash receiver so that you can turn it on without using the vehicle's key or on/off switch. Please note: If the in-dash receiver is inadvertently left on when the vehicle is switched off for an extended period, for example, for a few hours, or over night or for a few days, the vehicle's battery will die. In this case, you'll need to be sure to switch the in-dash receiver off every time you leave the vehicle. If you don't switch the in-dash receiver off, you'll run the risk of killing the vehicle's battery. Focus on the Red Wire. The red wire is sort of like an on/off switch for the receiver. When properly installed, the Red wire has power when the vehicle is on and the red wire does not have power when the vehicle is off. If you connect the red wire to a continuous power source, the in-dash receiver will power on even when the vehicle is switched off. The Yellow wire should have continuous power. This is what keeps the clock and radio station presets in memory even when the vehicle is switched off. Another option is to put a toggle switch on the red wire circuit. You can use the toggle switch to turn the in-dash receiver off. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
I cannot access the BlueTooth settings, the option is "grayed out". I have confirmed the green parking brake wire is connected and have done the On-Off-On sequence with the parking brake. Is there any other way to access the BT settings?
The Green Parking Brake wire is the key to accessing the in-dash receiver's Bluetooth Settings menu. If the receiver is not responding to the on-off-on parking brake operation, I suspect the Green Parking Brake wire has an incorrect connection to the vehicle's parking brake switch. If your Pioneer has a microprocessor reset button, pressing the reset button may help. This will not override the Green Parking Brake wire's function. The receiver may need to be reset in order to function properly. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
I desperately need some help. I had a shop install my 1550 nex and every once in a. While it shuts off and comes back on. And I don’t know what causes it or how to fix it
Does this seem to happen when you have a phone connected? or a USB flash drive? or not? Does it seem to happen on particular source? AM/FM Radio, Bluetooth? CD? I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-1550NEX at the top of the hard key panel beside eject. Please be sure you have the latest firmware installed on the receiver. You can find the latest firmware for Pioneer AVH-1550NEX here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/SiriusXM/AVH-1550NEX#downloads You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
@@pioneerelectronics I only ever use the usb for my phone and listen to my music that way. I can’t recall if it happened any other way. It has the latest firmware and I’ve reset it several times to no avail
I recommend to check with the install shop for loose wiring. If this does not help, Please contact Pioneer Customer Service in the US here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/AboutPioneer/Contact+Us or by calling in the US 1-800-421-1404
The Pink Wire in a Pioneer wire harness is from a Navigation Level in-dash receiver with a model number that begins with the letters AVIC. The Pink Wire is for VSS or Vehicle Speed Sense and is used to more accurately track the motion of the vehicle. VSS taps the vehicle computer to read speed data generated by the vehicle. I recommend to connect the Pink Wire in the Pioneer Wire Harness when possible for best performance of the in-dash navigation system. In most cases the Pink Wire is NOT required for operation. You can find Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
The Black wire is the ground wire. Pioneer receivers operate on a 12V DC system that requires a ground to operate. The Yellow wire with Black stripe is used to mute the receiver with a temporary ground signal. This is explained in the video above here: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html Please watch it with the sound on. This is typically used in selected vehicles for systems like On-Star. Buen día... Tengo un AVH 4350 DVD Y no le encienden las luces de los botones de mando... Funcionan pero sin luz... Hay alguna configuracion o una confección para encenderlos... Gracias.
Avh-211ex came with the pioneer camera. Everything works but, no sound or back up camera working. Radio shows it's working. CDs and DVDs play, you can make a call and they can hear you but you can't hear a single thing. Everything is from pioneer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I would like to add. Many have checked connections yes professional. Just off the clock because they are family. We did buy the harness you recommended. So everything is 100% pioneer compatible from our understanding. I really think that the harness may not be the correct one for my car. It's a 2010 equinox. No steering wheel controls.
Also no subs are being used. It's all just factory door car speakers. Had sound fine before. Again it reads disks and you can call. Bluetooth connection is fine. Just can't hear sound and the back up camera won't come on. But I do believe your video and the comments have explained that part about the camera. But the no sound. No one can understand that. I really wonder if the wire harness for the car is the correct one.
I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-211EX at the bottom of the hard key panel near the rewind button. You mentioned above you may have an incorrect wire harness. Just to clarify, the Pioneer AVH-211EX has a wire harness in the box. It should be identical to the one shown in the video above. That is the only wire harness that is designed to be used with the receiver. Are you using a 2nd wire harness adapter designed to connect directly to the wiring of the vehicle? Vehicle compatibility is usually shown on the packaging for the factory wire harness adapter. If this is not the correct wire harness, I recommend doing some research to find the correct compatibility. Here is one possible option for the 2010 equinox: metraonline.com/part/99-3307G You'll need to do research to be sure it's the correct fit for your particular vehicle. Here is another possible option: www.scosche.com/lpgm15 You'll need to do your own research to be sure it's the correct product. If you still don't have sound, I recommend to test any individual speaker output from the receiver. For example, on the back of the receiver use the White and White with black stripe. Connect it directly to a speaker that is know to operate. This is just to confirm audio output from the in-dash receiver. As for the backup camera, Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to work with the Pioneer ND-BC8 backup camera. Just because the camera has power does not mean you are viewing the camera window on the in-dash receiver. The purple/white wire is used to let the in-dash receiver know that the vehicle is in reverse and to open the backup camera window on the receiver screen. Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera.
The wires that came with it are similar to the video. The wires i got with it does not have that white wire for the mute and when i saw that i almost instantly thought thats where the sound problem is. But everyone keeps saying "thats what came with it. The papers and the audio guy at the shop even said it was the right one. Then when connecting to the wire adapter to plug in to the car is aswell missing wires that would complete the cycle. But again we keep being told its the correct. But you show a white wire in the video that i do not have on the wire harness that came with it. The camera is the one as you mentioned. But again the i keep pointing out to everyone that the purple needs to be connected. But according to the papers there is 2 ways to install. Like you said in your response is what i kept saying but again they said it is not needed. But i think 100% it is. That would bring us back to the wires. I do not have it infront of me to tell you what wire other than the white one i know for sure is missing. But i will send all your information along to them when i go back to the shop. I even wonder if doing this for as long as they have just might be getting to some old men. Lol but again thank you for responding.
I said wrong. I have the white wire. I do not have the yellow and black wire. It's the mute wire. That is why we think it is not correct. Or the wire come out somewhere in shipping and packing.
Disconnect the in dash receiver from the wire harness. Check the fuse on the back of the in dash receiver. Check the vehicle fuse that protects the in dash receiver. Confirm that the Red wire and Yellow wire are measuring 12 volts. Re-connect the in dash receiver to the wire harness.
The steering wheel control input can be found on the back of the in-dash receiver. You can see it in this video of a Pioneer AVH-280BT, very similar to the Pioneer AVH-275BT: ua-cam.com/video/1Q83UKznU8k/v-deo.html In order to use your steering wheel controls to operate the in-dash receiver, you'll need a third party steering wheel control adapter. There are many available, here is one option: maestro.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/101
The factory harness in my 11 Xb has little to none of these wires... It's pissing me off Cuz I can't figure out what color matches to what. It has violet, pink, light green and blue as the bigger wires (power, ground, etc.) then the small one I assume they are the speakers and what not, but non are solid and black striped wires.
Wire colors vary from one auto maker to another and from one vehicle model to another. The wire colors on the Pioneer in dash receiver are not meant to match the colors of any auto makers wiring. I recommend buying a wire harness adapter made for your particular vehicle make, model and year.
You need a adapter harness when adding aftermarket stereos to make it easy and so you don't have to cut your factory harness. The aftermarket wires will match the pioneer coloring.
Selected Pioneer receivers have a pink wire in the wire harness. I strongly recommend to properly connect this wire to the vehicle. The Pink wire is labeled "Car Speed Signal Input" This is also commonly known as VSS or Vehicle Speed Sense. And can also known as the Speed Pulse wire. This should be connected to the vehicle's computer to read the speed information generated by the vehicle. This is used as part of the 3D Hybrid sensor in the receiver used to accurately track the location and motion of the vehicle in navigation even when no GPS data is available. This is a very important wire to connect to the vehicle if you want to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for navigation, or on selected Pioneer receivers the internal navigation system. If you're using an optional iDatalink Maestro RR in your installation, there may be the option of connecting the pink wire to the Maestro RR harness. You'll know the pink wire is properly connected by opening the Connection Status screen in the receiver's System Menu and checking the Speed Pulse value. 0 when the vehicle stopped and a higher value when the vehicle is in motion. You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
To use steering wheel control you need an adapter from another company. Many are available. This is one possibility: idatalink Maestro SW You can find more videos similar to FH-X720BT here: ua-cam.com/video/YsyYo7O-Muw/v-deo.html
This depends upon your vehicle. The Pioneer AVH-4000NEX has a Brown RCA backup camera input on the rear of the receiver. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/16JgX6z8Mhs/v-deo.html If your vehicle has a camera with an RCA output it may plug directly into the Pioneer receiver's backup camera input. You can learn more about it here: ua-cam.com/video/6VY10uChNTI/v-deo.html Depending upon your vehicle, you may need the iDatalink Maestro RR integration unit for this to operate. You can see a demonstration of Maestro RR here: ua-cam.com/video/GX8bETHjZkg/v-deo.html You'll need to do some research to see if your particular vehicle is supported. You can find more information here: maestro.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/102
With the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX on a 1999 GM Suburban, the dash lights no longer work. The fuses are good, with electricity correctly getting to the fuse terminals. The dimmer switch still works correctly. But once pulled the stereo back out, (and yes, the wires are hooked up as per the manual) the dash lights still don't work. I pulled the Orange with white stripe wire and terminated it and now I do not have dash lights, and no dimming. This is stupid.
Please clarify your question. You said the vehicle dimmer switch still works correctly, yet there are no dash lights? Is it possible you're testing the wrong fuse location for function? Or the wrong fuse/relay center. The one under the hood, or the left side under dash fuse block. Your 1999 Chevy Suburban is nearly 25 years old. It may have a switch that needs to be replaced. Hello everyone! I have a pioneer Avh-270bt. I cant pair my bluetooth with my iphone. It says memory full. How do i clear the memory? How do i put it in parking brake mode? Which wire is the ground wire? Can anyone help me.
You can see how to delete phones from the receiver's Bluetooth memory in this video on a similar Pioneer receiver: ua-cam.com/video/Z9VTZHWPzkQ/v-deo.html You need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu. You can use your steering wheel controls to operate certain functions of the Pioneer AVH-X7500BT through the use of an optional 3rd party steering wheel control adapter. I recommend visiting a car stereo shop for professional installation help. You can find a video explaining the outputs for standard mode and network mode in this here: ua-cam.com/video/PeH_h8UHzBw/v-deo.html
I know about the front output RCA jacks but door speakers don't come with RCA jacks and tryn to convert them would be a bitch.. the whole set up is unnecessary..
What makes the audio cut out every 3-5 seconds on these? Tried 2 different models, both had same issue. Makes them sound worse than $100 Chinese head-units, sadly.
It sounds like you have the speaker outputs overloaded. Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to operate up to 4 speakers each at 4 ohm impedance. If you lower the impedance to below 4 ohms the receiver will overheat and eventually shut itself down for protection. It made me so angry that this wasn’t just in the user manual. Would’ve been nice to just have a simple chart in there. At least we got the video though
The wiring information is included with the unit. The unit will come with an Installation Manual or in some cases it is call Quick Start Guide. You can also download the manuals from the product pages.
The Pioneer wire harness color codes are not meant to match up to any make or model of vehicle. If the black wire is your vehicle is the ground wire, I'm sure it will work. If the black wire in your vehicle is not the ground wire, don't connect the Pioneer receiver to it.

Beautiful explanation

Please be sure to install the latest firmware update for your Pioneer SPH-10BT. hi there i just bought an AVH-A205BT will these wires on this video correspond to the same on that model?
The wire harness color codes should be the same. Even though this video was made back in 2016 the wire harness color codes for Pioneer in-dash receivers have not changed through 2019.

Do I connect the System remote control wire (blue+white) to the vehicle's Amp remote wire (blue+white)?
Do not expect the wire colors of your Pioneer receiver to match the vehicle. Any color match that may happen is purely coincidence.
The Blue/white System Remote Control wire on the back of the Pioneer receiver is used to switch on / off external devices that need to switch on and off with the in-dash receiver. For example an external amplifier.
You can view the blue/white wire as the amplifiers on/off switch. You can see where this wire connects to a Pioneer amplifier in this video: ua-cam.com/video/99Hfmc8QxVc/v-deo.html
This does not power the external amplifier. It only switched the amp on and off. An external amplifier still requires power and ground to operate.

You can see the camera input on a similar receiver here: ua-cam.com/video/ytUlUsi15Uc/v-deo.html
The Pioneer ND-BC8 camera needs power and ground to operate. The camera should always have power when the vehicle is switched on. And the camera should power off when the vehicle is switched off.

I have the same issue. I think we have to connect it to the blue wire in the Radio Harness

Alright! I will connect the three of them ! Thanks

What about the blue one that comes from the aftermarket harness that connects into the car?
I have just rechecked my cable the light green is connected to the black cable, should this then be connected to the red power cable and will this allow my reverse camera to work
At the moment my dvd is working without the need for my handbrake to work on or off

For the reverse gear input, can I tap into the backup light fuse?
Sounds like it will work. Anywhere a consistent change in voltage is measured while in reverse.

Sorry, first time trying to do aftermarket head unit. I've put my new AVH-2300nex in my 2007 Pilot with Nav (removed the old radio and navi). Radio, bluetooth etc. all works now, I can make call. How to make a wire harness for pioneer avic z1
Search for a Micro Bypass (for emergency brake)for your brand of radio.
Just wire the green cable to the black earth
Won't work cause it needs an on off on signal, figured that out the hard way
So I have the AVH-120BT touch screen I did everything right connecting the wire harness radio worked great for a year then one day it just wouldn't turn on and hasn't turned on in days

AVH-X391BHS. The online retailer support (excellent support) told me to
combine the pioneer blue, blue white wire to the blue adapter wire for a
02 Sequoia install. It has a JBL amp sound system install. I also have
a micro bypass relay soldered on this line. The back up camera, and
radio work great.
What is the pink solid wire(pioneer asv-200ex)
I'm not sure what AVS-200EX is. If you mean AVH-200EX, there should be a red wire. If you are seeing a Red and a Pink wire you have the wrong wire harness. Go back to the store where you bought it and ask for the correct harness. A Pioneer wire harness with a Pink wire is used for in dash receivers with built-in navigation. The pink wire is for VSS or vehicle speed. AVH-200EX does not have this. You can find more videos about AVH-200EX here: ua-cam.com/video/NBItGvxIk24/v-deo.html

How can I wire my AVh 3100DAB so I can use with my ignition off ??
Great video thank you
I cannot access the BlueTooth settings, the option is "grayed out".

I desperately need some help. I had a shop install my 1550 nex and every once in a. While it shuts off and comes back on. And I don’t know what causes it or how to fix it
What is the full model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? Is it AVH-1550NEX? Or are the first letters DMH?
@@pioneerelectronics yes it is avh 1550 nex
Does this seem to happen when you have a phone connected? or a USB flash drive? or not? Does it seem to happen on particular source? AM/FM Radio, Bluetooth? CD?
I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-1550NEX at the top of the hard key panel beside eject.
Please be sure you have the latest firmware installed on the receiver. You can find the latest firmware for Pioneer AVH-1550NEX here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/SiriusXM/AVH-1550NEX#downloads

I have a Pioneer to ISO harness and there is a pink wire. What does that do?
What is the signal ground wire for?

Gracias.
The Pioneer AVH-P4350DVD was manufactured back in 2010-2011. It's possible the receiver needs to be serviced.
Just because the camera has power does not mean you are viewing the camera window on the in-dash receiver.
The purple/white wire is used to let the in-dash receiver know that the vehicle is in reverse and to open the backup camera window on the receiver screen.
Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera.

Can someone please tell me what gauge these wires are?

The factory harness in my 11 Xb has little to none of these wires... It's pissing me off Cuz I can't figure out what color matches to what. It has violet, pink, light green and blue as the bigger wires (power, ground, etc.) then the small one I assume they are the speakers and what not, but non are solid and black striped wires.
Wire colors vary from one auto maker to another and from one vehicle model to another. The wire colors on the Pioneer in dash receiver are not meant to match the colors of any auto makers wiring. I recommend buying a wire harness adapter made for your particular vehicle make, model and year.
Same problem, my pioneer harness has a pink wire instead of red and it doesn’t look thick enough to be the ignition
You need a adapter harness when adding aftermarket stereos to make it easy and so you don't have to cut your factory harness. The aftermarket wires will match the pioneer coloring.
What is the pink one fpr
Does any body know how to retain factory backup camera with Pioneer AVH-4000nex?
This depends upon your vehicle. The Pioneer AVH-4000NEX has a Brown RCA backup camera input on the rear of the receiver. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/16JgX6z8Mhs/v-deo.html If your vehicle has a camera with an RCA output it may plug directly into the Pioneer receiver's backup camera input.
You can learn more about it here: ua-cam.com/video/6VY10uChNTI/v-deo.html
Depending upon your vehicle, you may need the iDatalink Maestro RR integration unit for this to operate. You can see a demonstration of Maestro RR here: ua-cam.com/video/GX8bETHjZkg/v-deo.html You'll need to do some research to see if your particular vehicle is supported.
