In this video we explore the power plant of the long abandoned Indiana State Mental Hospital. We heard lots of unexplained noises, which was either loose metal in the breeze, restless asylum patients or haven't quite moved on, or both

This video was of particular interest to me because for my job I gathered research data for the state of Indiana. (Because of confidentiality I can't elaborate.) Terrible to hear the words of that report rom the 1800's. People with mental problems and conditions can be difficult to deal with and easy to ignore but we have to remember that they are very vulnerable people and we who don't have their troubles need to concern ourselves with their welfare. I know that some people really are a threat or are incapable of taking care of themselves and may have no one to help them or the helpers are so burned-out they can't help anymore and no one else is available but people who are institutionalized still deserve to be treated as human beings and those who are caregivers, nurses, guards and in other related jobs need to be monitored themselves.

This was actually horrifying when you think of the abuse some of these poor patients were faced with. I can't even imagine one minute in this place let alone enough for you to take a stroll and give us some really neat history on this place. Your a very brave soul. Thank you so much for your time and effort. I loved the commentary at the beginning. Very professional and slick! I love your vids. They're so interesting.
