    Tip for using kala namak/black salt! It looses its flavor if it is cooked for too long, so add it at the end! And if you add a little too much - cook it a little bit and it will go away :)

    I've always been the typical "macho guy" when it came to vegan and vegetarian food. Hearing you say "mushroom bacon" or "tofu bacon" makes me cringe.
    But my girlfriend made your BBQ pulled "pork" mushroom and made me try it.
    I was BLOWN AWAY. Wow. It was delicious.
    Now I want to try all the vegan foods. All the time. Haha . Thank you @hotforfood. And thank you to my gf for literally shoving food into my mouth.

    I never liked Brinner as a kid, but with 5 kids my mom would do it on occasion. HOWEVER all of these recipes are bomb ass Brunch dishes and yours in at the top of my list to make. I was just going to make a meatball Lasagna tonight for Dinner and I really have to try this. This weekend! I got extra noodles and tofu anyway, just have to beat the bushes for that sausage, I think one of my sources here in NZ has that one. Do you use the Field Roast? Yum Lauren!!

    do you ever find that the black salt eggy flavour disappears if you add it before you cook it? I find that if I add it beforehand I can no longer taste or smell it much, so I started stirring it through my finished tofu scramble to be able to taste it.

  • @stephaniesantos78
    @stephaniesantos78 7 років тому

    what brand of black salt do you use? mine gets sooo clumpy i always mix my spices in a quarter cup of unsweetened almond milk before adding it to my tofu scramble just to make sure its actually dissolved lol

  • @JH-mt5ov

    Black salt is best when added after cooking. Heat cooks off the sulfur taste and just ends up tasting very salty.
