The RATT catalog is deep! So many good songs, “You’re in Love”, “Back for More”, “Wanted Man”, “Lack of Communication”, “Shame, Shame, Shame” and many more but that’s a good start lol
Warren DeMartini (guitar) delivered one of his most memorable riffs on this track... From Ratt's 1988 album 'Reach for the sky'... "Way cool Jr.' was a major single along w/ the single 'I want a woman'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘 Despite the album selling platinum, Ratt revealed that it was a difficult album to make... Guitarist Robbin Crosby was struggling w/ he+++n addiction and was playing less in the studio ... vocalist Stephen Pearcy was never in the studio and preferred to work on lyrics at home... Ratt also opted to hire producer Mike Stone (who had worked w/ Queen) to give the band a new sound... but he was an alcoholic and his heavy drinking was allegedly leading to bad decisions in the studio. When Ratt heard his mixes of the album, they were 'mortified'... and their record label also deemed the tapes were no good. The label called in Ratt's previous producer Beau Hill after firing Mike Stone and quickly salvaged the album 'Reach for the sky'... Ratt bassist Juan Croucier lamented that after all that trouble, the record sounded just like all previous Ratt records. The next Ratt album 'Detonator' in 1990 was another fiasco... Ratt hired songwriter Desmond Child (who had worked w/ Bon Jovi) and producer Arthur Payson... but guitarist Robbin Crosby did not play on the record as he was in rehab - Warren DeMartini did all the guitar tracks... This record was the wrong move in the early 90's when rock music was getting heavier, Ratt went for a commercial record. 'Detonator' only sold gold in the US... guitarist Robbin Crosby was fired after a disastrous show in Tokyo... Ratt toured the US in 1991 and saw the arenas were less than half-full... Once Nirvana broke big in 1991, it signaled the end of the 80's rock trend... Vocalist Stephen Pearcy quit Ratt in 1992 and the band was effectively over.
RATT really started rolling in 84 when I was 16 in highschool still one of my favorite bands of all time, Warren is a guitar god absolute LEGEND, R.I.P. Robbin......... WARREN TORCH DEMARTINI ABSOLUTE LEGEND.............
RATT is one of the best glamorous hard rock bands of the 80s, I like these guys. More reaction songs from me: “Shame, shame, shame”, “Slip of the Lip”, and “Loving You Is a Dirty Job”.
Love this band, no other band has ever sounded like them. The voice, the guitars, the drums all unique. You know it is Ratt from the first note. This is a band I wish I saw and never will not get to. Sad.
Now you are talking. Love RATT. My favorite 80's hair band. Stephen Pearcy has one of the coolest voices in the business. Warren DiMartini is a fantastic lead guitar player, overlooked so often when they speak about some of the best guitarists. I have seen this band a lot over the years and always put on a great show. RATT was a part of the debauchery of the Decade of Decadence, along with Motley Crue, Poison and others. This was an era, that was on the sleazier side of things with sex, drugs & rock n roll being the fuel that drove the times. And all of it was in abundance. We had a lot of fun.

Bought every Ratt album the moment they came out back in high school. One of my all time favorite bands for sure from the day. Still sound fantastic to me even today. So many good hits. Don't sleep on the Dancing Undercover album. All good tunes maybe try the songs Dance, Slip of the Lip, Body Talk, Looking For Love, Seventh Avenue....Hell all of the songs on that album.
Warren Demartini absolute LEGEND. I feel the best of the hair band era. My personal favorite guitarist of all time next to EDDIE. He was the alpha guitarist of RATT. ABSOLUTE LEGEND......... Peace......
Ratt & Cinderella were a couple of the hair bands who put a lot of Blues influence into their music. Most rock has a lot of Blues influence but you can really hear it with these guys, and in this song specifically. Love it!
I saw both of them with Quiet Riot some years back on what they nicknamed the Metalmucil Tour 😅 Great show though line up had changed except Cinderella. They were exactly the same! Of course with a little heavier makeup but their performance was great.
RATT's "Out Of The Cellar" and Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" were the 1st albums I ever bought with my own money. This tour was the the 1st concert I ever went to. Britny Fox and Kix opened for RATT. There's a particular scene in this video that partially inspired a song I wrote titled "Life On The Strip", a line of which directly references that scene. I still have the bandana I bought at my 1st show at 17 (spent most of my money on booze and couldn't afford a t-shirt) and recently got it signed by Stephen Pearcy (the lead singer).
Two of the biggest albums of the decade for sure. Funny how people still know about Crue today but Ratt is largely forgotten by all but the most dedicated fans.

Warren Demartini on guitar. The man can shread with the best of them! Always liked Stephen Pearcy's voice too. He's got that gritty raspy tone similar to Cinderella's Tom Keifer.

I still listen to Dokken and Ratt. Because of George Lynch and Warren Demartini. In the Netherlands.
I always wonder what music today would be like if labels would have let the “hair bands” incorporate blues earlier. Most of them wanted to do it right away.
Givin' Yourself Away by RATT! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Oh Jeez! Come on people. They've only heard this, Lay It Down and Round and Round. They need to hear Wanted Man, Slip of the Lip, Body Talk, from the 1st 3 albums before moving on to the average unsuccessful Ratt.
@@shack8110 Nothing average about this absolute banger! 😎🔥🤘🎸
one of their few power ballads
@@vinsanity40kMid-Tempo Rocker! 😎🔥🤘🎸

It has been referenced that Way Cool Jr. was written possibly about Elvis.

😁
I remember when you started this channel you've come a long way 🖖👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
Warren Demartini on guitar. The man can shread with the best of them! Always liked Stephen Pearcy's voice too. He's got that gritty raspy tone similar to Cinderella's Tom Keifer.
Howdy, new to the Rob Squad and LOVE both of you! Nice to see a positive and loving family! Here are a couple suggestions: 1976 Walter Murphy "A Fifth of Beethoven"; 1979 Sugarhill Gang "Rapper's Delight"; 1982 Clannad "Theme from Harry's Game" (Live at Bath Official Performance); 1994 Heather Nova "Walk This World"; 2022 Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Burning". Hope you enjoy! Have a Blessed Day! : )
Love it! One of their best!
Nobody Rides For Free is a must listen!
-" nobody rides for free "- !

@@kendominy635Iconic movie and soundtrack!
Lack of communication is second best Ratt song after this one.
