The 80's ruled. No hatred. No wokeness. Shallow. Yes. Fun. Yes. At least in my town everyone was invited to the party. Cool kids. Nerds. Football players. Weed smokers. Didn't matter. Skin color wasn't that much thought about. All this division is media-made. Just be a decent person. Nothing else matters.
I have a hard time describing just how much cooler it was to be a teen in the 80's. We had way more freedom and fun. It's not even close and I feel lucky to have been born in 1969.
80's was one big rock n roll sex party. i remember me and my friends going to see Kiss and Slaughter and my friends girl got a craving and had to take her man to the restroom to provide some lip service... then they got thrown out of the arena for doing their thing. we laughed our asses off and we rocked and partied the rest of the night and lived to see another day. oh and Ratt was THE badd ass best glam metal band.
Growing up in the 80’s was the best! I wish my kids got to experience that! My 20 year old wouldn’t be so uptight and grouchy lol You have to hear their song Round and Round
I missed them back in the day, but I have tix to see Stephen in October. I got the tix cheap just in case I wanted to say F’it and not go. That was before Stephen announced his cancer diagnosis so now I’m 100% going.
The whole of my teen years were solidly in the 80s. I can say without a doubt the last great party decade! To paraphrase David Lee Roth of Van Halen when asked in like 1992 or 93 what he thought about the whole grunge deal as opposed to the 80s glam/metal scene, 'In the 80s the music smiled, the clothes smiled. Concerts were energetic full of showmanship. Now you go to a concert and watch some singer stand in one place staring at his shoes singing about how his parents never paid him enough attention.' I think that pretty much sums up the 90s, at least the first half of it.
Best era to be alive PERIOD. Best music and ohhhh the parties. The last truly FUN decade. The 90s whined about being miserable and that was cool to them. Fucking sad.
Hands down the 80's best decade ever and I'm sooo happy I was there to enjoy them. Loved my 20's too bad every decade since has sucked with pc culture and all the other B.S. culture that has come up through the years.
You young bloods have no idea how good it was then. Social media and politics literally ruined everything. Again, you have no idea. I'd rather be my 50 than live as a young one now.
Dude, I was back in LA when this was going on and you are 100% right. It was a blast living in 80s in LA with all this great music I have some stories to tell.😮
I don't know if you have satellite radio in your car but there's a station on XM satellite radio called hair Nation all hair bands they play a lot of ratt
Im 48 and believe me dude, IT.WAS.AWESOME. especially the no cameras or cell phones or internet. Everybody was out on the town everywhere. Hot women everywhere, no pathetic meetin people on "dating sites" . The dating site WAS in the public!! It was just so damn fun!!
Yeah wee use to go and hang out and that is how you met your next girlfriend so many concerts that a kid with after school job could afford and we got more then one band on the ticket as well parties all the time we could do crazy shit and not get caught on camera or put on YT unlike today.
I was in my Junior year of High School when Ratt released this song as a single. Fond memories. It was from this tour that I got to meet the band at a party after the show.
oh man the 80s and early 90s were a blast and a half. great music loud guitars lovely women crazy fashion and all those movies from then that had a high school house party well they got it right cause thats how it was. i miss those days.
Yes the '80s were the best decade nothing but good music and debauchery no cameras no internet nothing to do but raise hell and go to concerts every weekend I just hate that they use can experience it today waiting in lines for an album or for tickets it sucks today as far as I'm concerned
You should do Ratt Out of the Cellar Album you'll love it. You should do some songs by the Scorpions Wind of Change, Animal Magnetism I think you'd really like that one
Those cats from this era had all that gimmicky stuff going on but at the same time the musicians,..particularly guitarists, took their craft SERIOUS as a heart attack. Players took pride in their proficiency at playing and paid attention to detail and spent crazy amounts of time honing their skills.
To really understand the 80's rock scene, particularly in Los Angeles, and as a musician then, watch the documentary "When metal ruled the world". Not a single thing in it is exaggerated.
Was born in 76 so I know life without cell phones ; cameras, no internet…. Was nothing like it was now… don’t get me wrong technology is a cool thing but can get in the way sometimes. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and experienced all of that. Partially the 70’s but I was to young to remember that time period….
Yep...Technology is great in some aspects and terrible in others...back then you had no Internet, no cell phones, no digital music, no cameras unless you were rich...if you wanted to get with a girl, you got off your butt and went and talked to them, wrote a note, or talked on the lan line telephone for hours, where as today, people are texting people right beside them. I was 14 about the time of this song and in 8th grade...I had a new girlfriend every month in school...was defiantly fun times 😎😎 When you got home, you went outside and played...kids don't play no more...too involved with video games....
The 80's ruled. No hatred. No wokeness. Shallow. Yes. Fun. Yes. At least in my town everyone was invited to the party. Cool kids. Nerds. Football players. Weed smokers. Didn't matter. Well said- I graduated in 87 so I lived in the craziness- It wasn’t crazy to me it was life but now I look back and Thank God I was there!!
I was born in '64 so I lived through the 80s. 😀
I have a hard time describing just how much cooler it was to be a teen in the 80's. We had way more freedom and fun. It's not even close and I feel lucky to have been born in 1969.
Yep.
@@chopperdeath same here. Born in 69. Graduated in 87. The 80s ruled.
They didn't call it "the decade of decadence" for nothing. 👊
damn straight
FINALLY someone listened and reacted to this awesome and totally under rated song ! Great as always man !! RATT - Round And Round is a must !!!
Love this song
God this is funny. BTW you didn't really want to grow up in the 80s. Lots of rehab.
OMG.... Stephen Pearcy. Black leather. Well now, that woke me up! Even older that man can make me melt.
Yesss!
Totally underrated song, good to see someone react to it. Check out, "You're in Love", "Dance", "Lay it Down".

RATT was my first concert. They opened up for Billy Squier outside of Cleveland, Ohio way back in 1984.
Saw them on that same tour it was at market square arena in Indianapolis
Me too,1986 missed them in Pittsburgh but caught them in Morgantown WV for the Dancing under cover tour.
I missed them back in the day, but I have tix to see Stephen in October. I got the tix cheap just in case I wanted to say F’it and not go. That was before Stephen announced his cancer diagnosis so now I’m 100% going.
Same!!!! 😄👍
St. Louis!
I saw Ratt in concert a few years back they're still rocking hard and heavy.
The 80's was awesome. I wish I could go back

My favorite song by Ratt! I wore outfits like that during my youth. Lol!
Best era to be alive PERIOD. Best music and ohhhh the parties. The last truly FUN decade.
The 90s whined about being miserable and that was cool to them. Fucking sad.
We had so much fun during this time. There was always a band and a party. All were welcome. Great memories

Ah hell yes, I've been looking for Ratt reactions to songs other than Round and Round.
Two handed pepper grinder! 😂 I was a teen in the 80’s and saw them in concert more than once back then. Half the audience was girls dressed like that.
Back to the crib? This was the 80’s man. Back to the back of the bar, or bathroom. Maybe the parking lot if she’s shy.
Lol
Hands down the 80's best decade ever and I'm sooo happy I was there to enjoy them. Loved my 20's too bad every decade since has sucked with pc culture and all the other B.S. culture that has come up through the years.

I'm 54 and I agree with everything you said. Fun times.
Ditto. Just turned 50. I wanna go back
Yeah wee use to go and hang out and that is how you met your next girlfriend so many concerts that a kid with after school job could afford and we got more then one band on the ticket as well parties all the time we could do crazy shit and not get caught on camera or put on YT unlike today.

There's a video of a middle-aged Japanese guy playing this song on acoustic guitar on here and it's fucking awesome.

From someone that lived it great time to be in your early 20s
Long live Robbin’s memory.
xoxo The Clarences
Yes. The 80s and early 90s was like this. The youngins call us boomers and such. But they will never know what this life was.
Song is about Elvis
I truely wish we could go back and let you experience it all as i did. Bruh, it was epic
RATT is an acronym for Rockin All The Time. So it is all caps.
New fan dude. Way cool Jr. Got my attention.
RATT... the best hair metal band ever... hands down and no way to argue against it...
What kinda person? A dam happy one:)
That's always been my nickname from my family so I took it like I am Way Cool Jr. So my life has been this damn song. I'm 21 btw and I love this SHIT
Way cool jr doesnt need to go back to the crib. He just takes em to the bathroom....lol
This and Lay It Down are their best songs, IMO.
This was on MTV constantly.
To really understand the 80's rock scene, particularly in Los Angeles, and as a musician then, watch the documentary "When metal ruled the world". Not a single thing in it is exaggerated.

It was every bit as good as you can imagine. Your generation got shafted really. Screw the dependence of technology. We lived life care free.
I remember the days!
Ayyyy, almost at 150k

The invisible man in the clip is very handsome.
I think I'm still raw from the 80s😛
More Ratt reactions pls!
The music is still here brother, no matter when you were born.
Hey spitters are quitters, and those girls weren't quitters back then 🤣🤣😛
In my humble opinion Ratt was one of the best hair bands
80s rock was the shiiiiiiiiiiiittttt!!!
I like a decent amount of Ratt but this song was catchy as hell and always liked the video...
metal > rock > pop > jazz > rap

Not sure if you've done any Steel Panther, but you'd definitely like it.
