Just a small problem for why a bike may be hard to start. Or why a bike could be running poorly, and have poor performance. Often over looked or forgotten about.
@@muddythumper8152 been a tough winter between the bike acting up and health limiting what i can do these days without it but i'm surviving... and nicer weather is coming so things should be back to almost normal soon lol

I put up a recent video of swapping on a Chinese carb like a week ago, shows putting on the throttle slide and stuff. Most likely it’s your throttle slide frozen. Check that video out and see if that’s your issue. If not I can do one on throttle assembly that’s no issue.
I'm having issues as to which line goes to where on the carburetor it's my dad's he's owned it since it was brand new I just put a new carburetor on it but it's leaking ass soon as I turn the gasoline on I'm thinking we mixed up the breather line and an gas line
Going into the carb should only be one line, the main fuel line. The other ones are basically a vent on some carbs or overflow. You can send my fb or Instagram a video if you like I’ll have a look, or I can throw a carb on a 200 I got in the shed and throw up another video. I got two bikes I need to put carbs on to sell currently
I have a 185 Honda. It won't start unless I put gas in the spark plug cylinder and when I do get it running it has to be on half choke or it runs badly. Any ideas?
If those 2 springs are broke, will it cause it to struggle to start going when you start it up and drive it, i replaced my carburetor and it ran fine but yesterday it struggled to start rolling once i put it in first gear and tried taking off. Or could it be a low battery cause the electric start quit working yesterday as well
those springs will trouble it a small amount for starting, my assumption is the carb still or choke set up though. can you send my fb a video of it? low battery may be the reason why the starter doesnt work for sure.
Hey man i just got mune running but when i start it it just revs putting it in gear doesn't do anything and pushing the throttle doesn't do anything either cause is already max rev if anyone has any ideas on what it could be let me know
change the oil if its watery, most likely you are running too rich ( meaning the carb is providing too much fuel to the engine.) Dial back the Air fuel screw. If i recall youd have to adjust the screw in a bit on the carb for that. If you turn on your choke does the bike die down?
@@muddythumper8152 Yes, the bike does of I have the choke on. It has a stock pilot jet and 105 main. FMF exhaust and Uni filter. I have to screw the idle screw all the way in to get it to idle though and unlike my other ATC's I can't hear a change in the rpm's when adjusting the air screw.
@@nuclearwarhead6072 yeah, I'm going to do a full teardown and rebuild. The air fuel screw backed out all the way though and that was causing a high idle. I've got a few issues to sort with it. Shifting is really difficult on it and sometimes it locks itself into gear and you can't downshift or upshift. Just finished rebuilding my 185s and 200, so I'll get to this one next. Then likely sell them all and move into something else.
I have a big red 250.. has spark. Plug is wet. Wont start. I can smell gas coming out of the 5/8 vaccum line that is under the seat that connects to the motor then T's off and goes up to my seat. I can also feel air coming out of the vaccum line when i try starting it. Help please. Had carb off 3 times
hey there, if plug is wet means shes rich / or possibly flooded. Do you have a functional choke? If so choke the bike off a bit and see if she catches. If you have good spark, fuel and good compression / timing it will run. If you smell fuel from the vent lines most likely the engine is flooded. Try smelling the oil dipstick, sometimes if the cylinder is flooded is will pull fuel down into the crankcase. Try taking the plug out of the bike, and pull it over or crank it to blow out any extra fuel. If carb is clean and set up, choke works properly, has good compression spark and fuel she'll run

Top hose goes up behind carburetor then comes out under frame below front part of seat. I can smell gas fumes from it while its running. Does this top hose go somewhere? That’s your carb messed up ol buddy. Clean it or replace it

Max rev means your throttle slide probably in backwards , if she doesn’t move clutch issue or needs adjustments

@@chrstofuchaos sounds like you’re running rich still , if you are out of adjustment on the air fuel screw the only other options are the jets.

May have jumped a tooth on timing causing over compression
