Same here but Oregon Dunes... My dad took us twice a year for two week camps freaking best times of my young adult years. He had this same bike which was stolen the week he paid it off. Some punk kid took it for a joy ride hid it in a farm shed and it was found 17 years later. The cops called and said they found it ...It sat there brand new rotting away in a dilapidated shack😔
ping ping ping ping like most say,damn i miss mine too,i had all kinds of work done,a custom built 4 inch extended swinger chrome plated,hydraulic clutch since these things have a mean hand clutch,oh god too many things to list,huge carb,like a 39 mm stock is 28 or 29,douglas wheels with zero offset so they stuck out plus wheel spacers,the thing wouldnt flip over and you could drift it with ease,bad ass rear tires.the list goes on,but i sold it to get money for new car.oh well
Nice bike, tru it does sound super nice best sounding 250r I've heard.....,I am also rebuilding a 85' and can only hope to get it sounding this good, great job man!
+Kevin Groen Hey Kevin, good to see you noticed the rads. Decided to upgrade them mid way through the restoration as I had heard of overheating problems in hot climates (like ours). Custom made here in Australia about 30% larger capacity & modern fin design.

Did they ban the import of these in Australia? Reason I ask is I never seen above '86 year model from when they banned the import of "three wheelers" in the USA.
Not sure, something about Honda had rights to build after the ban expired but chose not to. In US and Canada there are a rare few ‘87s…good luck finding one though.

Hey mate, unless the terrain you're riding on is smooth, you want to be standing up everywhere beside corners. Through the corners try and lean as far to the inside as you can.
It’s the most fun way possible to run over your own foot. This is the model Honda quit F’n around and made a stupid fast crazy badass. Very dangerous. But most people weren’t experienced enough to handle it. I’m pretty sure they were outlawed because of this exact model. Love it.

it's got the standard flat side carb that all 86's have, it's just been professionally tuned on a dyno.
