First visit. Even as an experienced crocheter, I like to review tutorials and ideas to add to my library and this is one of those. I've reviewed several waffle squares and this is my fav. :) Thanks so much for the written pattern as well. Looking forward to more of your straight forward, easy to follow tutorials and ideas from your blog.
I started a classic waffle pattern and wanted to see if I could switch up and begin to work in the round using waffle stitch. Your tutorial has me on the correct path. Fingers crossed that this works! By the way, I laughed and smiled hearing the bird whistle. Thanks!
You are so easy to follow. I subscribed and joined email. You seemed so down to earth and then I saw you are a fellow Okie. Great stuff on your page. Thanks.
I love the waffle stitch and this is so cute except I kept messing up when I turn..Still working on it..had to keep watching your video..Love this..thanks for sharing
Quick question, when you are working in corners, after you do 2dc and chain 1, are you going into the same corner for the next 2dc? It looked like you were going into another chain space. I'm new to the granny square/ any crochet square scene, so sorry if this is a dumb question! But thank you for this video! I've been looking for a way to practice this stitch without committing to a big project!
If I wanted to make this into a hexagon would I just add two more "corners" in round 1? Meaning 2 more sets of double crochet + chain? I'm trying to do a bee theme gift for a friend.
Your video is so easy to follow! But I have a question. In the corners sometimes you would do double crochet, chain 1, double crochet. And sometimes you did 2 double crochets, chain 1, 2 double crochets. Is it when you’re working with the wrong side facing that you only do one dc, ch1, dc?
Yes! When you do a wrong side row, you place 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in the corners and when you do a right side row you will place 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner.
Hi thank you for sharing this I never seen the waffle in a square before it would make a cozy blanket,I am loving your channel just found you yesterday doing the moss stitch square ,keep up the great work, stay safe xxxx
Thanks for the video! This is my next project after I finish this huge corner-to-corner blanket I’m currently working on for the past two years off and on. Just a question...are you from north Alabama?! The accent is there!
@@OkieGirlBlingnThings Your accept is very similar to the Aiken- Lexington, SC accent. Basically look at the middle of the state, west towards Georgia border. Lived there for 25 years. I have the same accent. 😆🥰
Talitha Slicker thank you! Yes, I have a cockatiel. I record in the same room with him because it’s actually the “quieter” room of the house, lol. He has to give me input on every video 😂
I would just like to say thank you for trying to show me but I am just finding it a little bit too fast when someone doesn’t know how to follow it so fast please could you make a video of you doing it a little bit slower and showing me or someone else the stitches please thank you
Tried this tutorial. Complicated by the turning after each modified it by only going one direction and using bpdc in place of turn . So much easier and made no difference to outcome
You made this much easier to understand than
another video I watched
This was so clear and concise. Was having difficulty earlier with the pattern then found your video. Great help

Thank you for this pattern, it makes it so easy with your instructions. Great job 👍🏼
Thank you so much! I've been trying to find a good video to explain this stitch. I made a tiny waffle blanket for my ice cream cone doll.
Thank you! Great video and written pattern thank you for telling us the total stitch count for each row it really helps us slowpokes
This looks so easy. I have trouble with making a magic circle.
Thankyou for the video. Been trying to get my head round the waffle square and yours is the first video that makes sense 🙈.
I love the bird in the background!!!
Haha, thanks! Herbie likes to get his thoughts on video too 😂🙈😂
Thank you for sharing this pattern ❣ Putting this on my to do list ❣ I love this 🥰
as a guy that has never crochet'd a thing before, it will be a massive undertaking but following your video I will make a large waffle blanket.
I wish you good luck! 😉

Hello. Beautiful blanket. What yarn is that? Thanks. 🙂

Thank you for creating this tutorial. I found it really easy to follow along. What do you do to finish this blanket?
Yay, I'm glad! I finished this one with a reverse single crochet border.
If I wanted to make this into a hexagon would I just add two more "corners" in round 1? Meaning 2 more sets of double crochet + chain? I'm trying to do a bee theme gift for a friend.
This was super helpful! Thanks!
This is so beautiful 😻

Would you consider this a yarn hog project
@@lialovesyarn4512 yes, this stitch is a yarn eater.
Thanks @@OkieGirlBlingnThings
Is there any way to turn this into a rectangle shape, instead of a square?
I'm really not sure as I have never tried to make it into a rectangle instead of a square.
@@OkieGirlBlingnThings Would love to see it in a rectangle. Be so unusual.
@@annmariemurphy9432 Fiber Spider has a tutorial on rectangular waffle stitch if you are still interested
@@werisekk3 Thank you so much for your kind message. Very much appreciated I'll try Fiber Spider.

Hi, just letting you know the link to your written tutorial doesn't seem to work!
Thanks for the video! This is my next project after I finish this huge corner-to-corner blanket I’m currently working on for the past two years off and on. Just a question...are you from north Alabama?! The accent is there!
Oh, I’m from Oklahoma. Way down south close to Texas, lol.

have you ever done the waffle stitch in c2c?
No, I haven’t ever tried that stitch before! I’ll have to look into that one! 😊
Great video! Also, question, do you have birds? I thought someone was outside my window when I heard a whistle. Was it a bird?

You can slow youtube videos down. Makes it a bit easier if you're trying to follow along.

Where are the written instructions?Please.
I found it on your blog thanks
Show your work what you’ve done
Thank. You
It's not easy I can't get it right
Americans should do something about their accent!
And you don’t have any type of accent? She’s from Oklahoma, we all have an accent.
You talk to much about things that don't matter then forget to tell us stitch counts
So rude. You can fast forward any parts that dont interest you.
Okie girl: thanks for sharing this creative pattern!
You did an awesome job. I would delete and block her! People are so rude
What are you talking about?? She explains this beautifully. She tells you exactly what you need to know
