The waffle stitch in the round is much easier than it looks and I hope the tips that I share to memorize the repeat helps your fly through your blanket. You might be wondering if you can make this stitch without turning your work and yes you can, but that means you'll be utilizing a bpdc (back post double crochet) on alternate rounds. If this is something you want to learn as well, let me know in the comments. 🧶
I’ve been following you for a few months and I absolutely love your tutorials. I’ve learned so much and got more confident stepping out of my comfort zone. Thank you for being an amazing teacher!!!❤❤❤
What a fantastic idea waffle stich in a rectangle. Kudos! Please try ending with HDC, this way you're in the space for the next round and no slip stiching is necessary, Tried? Worked? Give it a like here. Cheers!
I want to try it but I'm so new. I think I can do it if I just pay attention and go slowly. Sometimes I don't know I've made a mistake for a row or two. Working on a Tunisian crochet scarf as my first project. I'm sure it's going to look like the dog's breakfast but I will wear it proudly and look back on it to see how far I've come! Great video!
This is a beautiful textured pattern. I really like the rectangle shape. It's a snowy day so I think I'll stay inside and give it a try. Great tips, Roz. Thank you.
What a lovely stitch. I’ve got just the yarn for this project. Thank you so much for your clear guidance. Sending peace and love from Edinburgh, Scotland 🏴❤️

Wow I love your channel. I don't understand English perfectly, but I manage to understand a lot. At this moment I use a translator I hope it explains me well. You are a very good teacher. I am very grateful because it explains everything wonderfully. I will continue to learn a lot from you because I am new to crochet and I love it.
Thank you for great tutorial such great tips and help.i love the waffle stitch but never did in a square before just in rows .it will look lovely in lots of squares.💟💟💟
Thank you for this pattern!! ❤. Started on it tonight using I Love this Yarn in Cinnamon Cedar and Linen. I wanted to send you a picture but it wouldn’t go through.
Love these 'in the round' tutorials, they're so appreciated 🙏 I don't suppose you have a Houndstooth in the round tutorial? My youngest has given me 2 colours to make her a blanket with, and I'm thinking Houndstooth would be perfect.
That would be lovely 💕 I don’t have it in the round but I do have it by the row . that is an excellent idea , I’ll have to play with that idea, thanks 👏🏻💕
Hi ! I love this as I love the Moss stitch. Yes, I struggled with making a blanket in rounds. One problem, I want to know what stitch comes before and after a slip stitch to join rounds. Thank you
The stitch before and after a slip stitch will always depend on the pattern you’re working on. The slip stitch is just helping you complete the round and doesn’t count as a stitch. Typically you’ll start with a chain after a slip-stitch to start the next round and the amount of chains will depend on the stitch you’re making next. 1 ch for sc, 2 for hdc, 2 or 3 for a dc. Usually the chains will serve as that first stitch but again it depends on the pattern. Hope that helps
Hello Roz and happy Monday to you . I have a crochet book called 200 crochet blocks which is how I learned to further advance my skills . I won't be surprise if there's a waffle pattern in there , but if there isn't I have learned to now and your technique is great 👌😉👍. Have a good day.
I’m not sure how much it would take. This was just a tutorial to show the stitch. But you can use this method to figure it out. ua-cam.com/video/yrMvcz6Z8BI/v-deo.htmlsi=oySnHic1tZMspgnK
any chance of a DOUBLE waffle?? WHERE back is like the front? I love yr teaching style. Simple and clear i have made both versions and they were a hitthank you so much!!
I haven’t seen this before where the back looks like the front . Is this the name of the stitch? The double waffle stitch search takes me to patterns where it’s two fpdc’s instead of one but doesn’t say the back matches the front. Thanks !
Behind it completely, so the hook is right behind it and coming back through on the other side of the stitch. It will make more sense when you try it yourself … you’ll be able to see it clearly. 💕
I love this pattern and you make it very easy to follow along. however I do not always have a computer near by when crocheting, is there a written pattern somewhere?
I’ll look into it but I did a quick search and found this video. Maybe it’s the one you saw? ua-cam.com/video/_jxM7wHOU1g/v-deo.htmlsi=iz_7bV6MMHYP_4wv Or this? ua-cam.com/video/2szLEygmDdI/v-deo.htmlsi=nDZtsPVoL951YkuX

Thank you for the time stamps it really helps us slowpokes . Stay safe. blessings from sunny california . Looking forward to to your next video
A great alternative is just to crochet over the tail when you do the chain 4 and slip stitch to form the ring. Then just tighten that tail and it will tighten the center for you . I do this often. ua-cam.com/video/BdtXZk9Uu2k/v-deo.html
@@kelisteadham7639 it’s only on one side - I do show the back in the beginning but unfortunately I did it quickly. You might be able to pause and zoom to see. The rectangle and square have the same look on the back.
