    Those wanting to join another colour ,i joined mine at the slip stitch at the end of the round you will then turn your work and do your chain 2 at the start of your next round in your new colour...hope this helps , great tutorial BTW :)

      Hi. I’m new to granny squares. I have a stupid question. When you say join the color at the slip stitch, does that mean i do the slip stitch with the new color instead of the first one? TIA!

    • @shannongg2014
      @shannongg2014 Рік тому +9

      @@janinejen2901 no dear, it means finish round ending with a slip stitch and then join your new color (this can be done with a slip stitch as well, so I see where you can get confused) people have many ways of "joining", and one way is a slip stitch, some tie a knot, etc. I really hate to answer a question for someone else's work but since you didn't get a reply for 2 months I thought I'd give it a try. Also maybe watch another of her videos to see her preferred method of joining. I hope this helps *SMILES*

      @@janinejen2901 ignore my first explanation and YES, if I understand what you're asking g, you do indeed add new color at the "second slip stitch"... oh my, I hope I'm not confusing you more, and have you made this pattern yet, of so, how did it go

Unfortunately I couldn’t understand her technique for the start of squares. I found this and I can see it exactly. You have clearly and patiently explained what to do. Thank you 🙏🏻 very much.🧶

    Today, March 9th, 2023, I began a baby blanket with your helpful pattern. I knew how to crochet a granny square but did NOT like the big holes and seams it created. However, I enjoy working on this specific one. I work on it in between other baby blanket patterns. I donate them to less fortunate mother's to be. It's most gratifying to have the availability to do so. Thanks very much! God bless you.

      I learned how to crochet and knit while I was in rehab for addiction. They said learning new skills has a powerful effect on mental health. They also said that people that were addicted to opiates, (like me), were more successful at quitting they have something to occupy their time; because boredom can actually be a trigger for some people.

    I love your logic Ms. Blossom, my thoughts exactly. I have crochet for over 40 yrs, but in spurts/seasons. I was recently inspired, picked the crochet hook up once again. I watched tutorials from pretty much everyone in the youtube forum, some more than others. I love/adore your tutorials. I love all of the many different types of stitches, currently, I've been into the granny. I am working on a large, continuous granny square blanket, which i have had to restart because of flopping/twisting of the squared. I thought to myself, hmm, I bet it's because there are to many chains going on in the work. Viewing your tutorial, presented/confirmed my thoughts exactly. I don't subscribed to a whole lot of anything, only to that which makes sense/informative/inspiring. Your craft/tutorials/product are beautiful, simplistic informative, on point. Your British accent is a winner as well, thank you dear heart!!!!!!!!!!!!

      @@BlossomCrochet Hi, I have been trying to ask you about the turning. I'm stuck on row 3. When I look at your video, it seems you turn opposite directions with each row? Row 2 your working yarn strand (not the tail) is on the back, row 3 it's at the front, row 4 at the back, etc.
      Is this correct? Because it's hard for me to remember which way I turned which each previous row.
      It would be easier if I just kept turning it the same way (in my case, is usually turn away from me).

    I can’t thank you enough for sharing this technique. I tried it and it is working beautifully. I did the magic circle for the ring of the first round and then followed your pattern exactly. Thank you thank you enjoy 😊

    I've struggled so much with the granny squares until I tried yours! It's a perfect square. Easy to follow and so simple. I changed colors and it looks amazing. Thank you for taking your time to do this or us. much appreciated.

    Thank you for this tutorial. You have solved all the problems I've had with granny square blankets in the past. This is now my go to pattern for the charity blankes I make. It works up beautifully with color changing cakes.
