This and other videos cut off at the end, while they're still going. In this case, he was right in the middle of explaining how to deal with the issue. I'm appreciating the information. If you're able to put out the entire recording, that would be great!

Carbohydrates lower cortisol. There are studies confirming it. I've lowerd my fat intake and been eating high carb, whole food diet. I feel happier and more relaxed.

Same!! I made the mistake of eliminating carbohydrates completely for 2 years because all I heard was how bad they are but my body desperately needed them.. although I didn't lower my good fats.. I still consume things like fish, eggs, avocados, nuts, seeds, etc..

Is it still cortisol belly if it comes and goes?
see, I have cptsd, so what happens is that traumatic events occur daily because a trigger reminds me of a thing which might have happened in my childhood. Somatic exercises may help in releasing trauma once. But I have do them again when I feel dysregulated or triggered. Basically, if your nervous system is regulated, you will not have cortisol belly

Same.. I've been struggling with cptsd for 40 years and didn't know what was going on until this past year.
I got out of a horribly abusive relationship a few years ago and my body crashed.
I have to do somatic exercises every morning and every night plus meditation and a list of other things which is very difficult when you're in a chronic state of stress but it does help in the moment.
Where's the rest of it?
