    I'm about to do my bearings on my Evo 7... My thrust bearing looked more worn than the rest when I pulled my bottom end apart after having oil deprivation...

    OLÁ. As Bronzinas de Mancais apresentadas é um assunto COMERCIAL. O desenvolvimento Técnico perfeito é com as 2 peças inteiriças e FLANGEADAS. Os motores com apenas 1 peça "flangeada" com uso intenso da embreagem desgastam a lateral a ponto de quebrar o virabrequim. Motores com "flanges laterais postiças" ao sofrerem desgaste longitudinal a peça "postiça" cai no cárter e também poderá quebrar o eixo. Obs. o custo de fabricação de 1 peça flangeada de forma correta é aproximado ao do resto do jôgo de Bronzinas. ABRAÇOS... Roberto Udo Krapf

    Does the automatic equipped Coyote have a different crank and thrust bearing versus the manuals?

    Were the main caps on the ls block installed incorrectly? 1-4 face back and 5 faces forward.. wouldn't that possibly give you an inaccurate reading. Ive seen cranks literally not move with 1 cap installed wrong.

    OLÁ. 22/01/24 (continuação de 09/01/24) A lateral da peça flangeada no presente Vídeo possui 3 rebaixos passantes por peça e que permitem uma fuga constante de óleo lubrificante e diminuição da lubrificação entre flange e eixo. Sempre haverá uma vazão de óleo maior no lado superior (lado bloco) mesmo que a usinagem feita na peça para confeccionar a flange venha se transformar num canal para homogeneizar a pressão de óleo local. O rebaixe lateral demonstrado na peça do vídeo de um lado do corte interrompe a película de óleo formada no sentido de rotação do eixo e dificulta a formação de nova película. Se os rebaixes fossem em forma de "gotas invertidas", fechados no lado de maior diâmetro da flange e abertos no lado de menor diâmetro da flange haveria a facilidade da formação da película de óleo. What is the difference between setting the thrust bearing on a Coyote vs a 4.6 4V aluminum blocks like the WAP block?

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  3 роки тому +1

      There are a couple styles of thrust for the 4.6l blocks. If it has the floating thrust on one half, like the coyote, then the procedure is the same.

    Do you just use sandpaper/wd40 to sand the thrust bearing if you need more in/out play? Or is there a better way

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  3 роки тому

      I've never had a situation where I needed to add clearance here without another issue. Confirm that the bearings are correct. In order to sand cleanece into it, you'd have to make a jig to hold both halfs of the bearing in order to remove the same amount if material from both surfaces. It would be very difficult to keep it concentric. I'd suggest there is another issue. I would not recommend sanding the thrust surface to add clearance.

    Random question. Does it matter if the crank is forward or rearward when you torque the thrust bearing cap?

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  2 роки тому +1

      As long as you dont beat it around ebough to move the bearing after is set, it won't matter. The goal here is to align the faces evenly. I suppose if I was to suggest a direction, it would be to have the crankshaft forward. That is the direction of the load applied to it. That said, it is nothing I've ever paid attention to.

      Moving the crankshaft to set the trust bearing is called what then?
