You two kind of look like babies with beards. Anyways great video, I’ve been wondering what accessories and tips for my new 36” black stone. This answers my questions thanks bros. Can you guys make a video of making smash burgers from scratch vs making thicker juicier high end burgers
For what its worth...towards the end of this video you addressed some of the negativity you have gotten....for me that is just sad...the Waltwins are about positivity, fun, family, food and friends...thank you for bring a bit of cooking fun and entertainment to this world, it is greatly appreciated. Knowing you both personally, you are just two of the most genuine people I know so please don't change and keep doing you!!! and....GRIDDLE ON!!!
Thank you so much John! We mainly addressed it to remind others that there isn’t time to focus on the hate - haters gonna hate, and potaters gonna potate! We love your support so much, and can’t wait to get our griddle on with John Collins!!💪💪
You guys are so right about the haters. Blackstone expert on every corner and half are probably flipping burgers under the Golden Arches. Keep up the good work and thanks for the words of encouragement to all. Love the channel.
You are amazing man, for reals. We were a bit nervous about adding the part at the end - but honestly, so many become discouraged by the “experts” - we wanted to remind us all that it’s an awesome unit, and we can all do what works for us. Take care Mike!🤙🤙
Cutting my Griddle teeth on a 28 inch Blackstone I got as a gift for Fathers day. I love it and love watching all the videos. I will take all the help i can get. Keep up the great videos!
Awesome man and congratulations! There’s a bit of a learning curve, but it really does become simple quickly, and the food is out of this world! You’ll for sure be the hero! True story, my family asked for the Crunchwraps for dinner. We did our video 3 weeks ago on them, and this will be the 6th time since that we will be making them!🤣
I just a 36 Blackstone and was all excited to cook on it for the first time. It was a little windy out but didn't think it was that bad. So put the burgers on and waited and waited. It wasn't heating up like I thought it should and everyone standing around hungry. What happened was that the regulator was stuck and not allowing enough gas through. So I grab a tank from the RV and now I had heat to the point of burning the food. So it's all a learning curve for anything. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the tips.
Wow, thank you for sharing! Yes, it’s all learning, but the best part is, we learn, get better, and make amazing food! Thank you so much for watching!🤙🤙
My Blackstone 36" spent several days submerged in the Harvey Floodwaters. It still worked except for the side-grease griddle itself. No matter what I did it would develop an odd, algae-like coating. One big tip is don't get frustrated. If something doesn't come out right, or gets burnt, try it again. I hate to waste food, but that's the only way to learn. I ruined the first burgers i ever cooked on mine. Had it waaayyyy too hot. Love your vids. You guys, Hussey, and Todd are my go to vids for new ideas on cooking.
Yes! Boom! This is the best advice! Thank you so much for watching, any for sharing the tip - and for all of the kind words as well!! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙
Love your vids. I'm 60 and first cooked on a flat top in 1976 or about..can't remember if I had driving license, so could of been before. From then on, never cooked again on one. Recently I bought a 17" combo Blackstone and love it, geez the memories. Cleaning...? Just depends on who you are serving. Me solo, I just scrap it while heating, spread some oil..veg or peanut, spread it out. It's all about who you serve. I cook french fries while cooking burgers, fish filets, hot dogs...the smash burgers have been amazing on it...brings back memories. Good job guys!
Wow, thank you so much for watching and for chiming in! Love the memories! We have absolutely loved cooking on the Blackstone and sharing what we are learning. Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥
Your right about the tips guys and it takes some trial and error sometimes to find them out. I wish I would have known alot of info in the beginning. Never let the haters get you down, always do you, that's why I watch you guys, you just have fun doing simple cooks and share your food. Continue to griddle on and can't wait for the next video to drop
Boom! So much this man - thank you so much, it really means a lot! We posted this vid because we get so many questions, and the tips really helped us at first. Take care man!🤙🤣
Hi guys, I'm loving your channel! So many videos and awesome griddle cooks, thank you! Here's my tip for beginner griddlers: Towards the end of your seasoning the griddle when it's new take a digital temperature of the different zones of your griddle. Do this using a laser guided "no touch" thermometer. I got mine from Harbor Freight. Why do this? 1. Learn just how hot each burner can get. 2. Learn where the hottest parts of your griddle are. 3. I wrote in my user manual the hottest temperature of each burner/zone. This gives you a recorded baseline to compare the griddle's efficiency months/years later. If the temps are falling off, it's time for burner maintenance to bring them back to day one quality! 4. Some times you need to set an exact temp i.e. baking on the griddle. Use the thermometer gun! Have fun y'all!
Thank you so much for watching, Gregory! And thank you for the amazing tip! It definitely helps so much to know the different temps and places on the surface! You definitely know a thing or two! Thank you again for sharing brother! Griddle on!!!😁❤️🤙🏻
Yes!!! It’s actually easier than people think! And we always end up being the meal hero’s! Is that a thing? I think we just made it a thing! Meal Hero’s!💪🏻

That is so awesome man, congratulations!! After your first season, get ready to use just a bit more oil, there may be some food sticking, but don’t let it frustrate you! You got this, and it’s gonna be amazing fam!!🔥🔥🤙🤙😎💪
Just purchased mine and after converting to natural gas and seasoning yesterday, I've already done burgers last night and breakfast this morning....unbelievable difference in taste from a grill or indoor stove. I've been watching your videos all morning and am excited to start working on the outstanding recipes you guys have put together. Thank you guys for all the great content!!
Wow! Thank you so much fam! Congratulations on the new Blackstone!! We absolutely love cooking on it, and as you’ve noticed, it’s definitely a game changer! Almost everything we cook seems restaurant quality, and it is always a crowd pleaser!! Take care man, GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙🔥🔥

Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Congratulations on the new Blackstone! We love it for sure! Matt (The Hungry Hussey) is as incredible in real life as he is on UA-cam, and one of our favorites as well! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Been wanting a griddle for a while. Finally got my hands on a NexGrill 2 burner for half off at Home Depot today (last season's model). Not a Blackstone, but it'll do for a starter griddle. Now I just gotta educate myself a bit. Thanks for all the info.
Yes!! Congratulations on the new griddle! That is so awesome - we love the Blackstone for sure, but GRIDDLE NATION is a great community for all griddlers! Much love fam, GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙🔥🔥
I love the Blackstone griddles. I live in an apartment in 🇨🇦 with no balcony and as you can imagine, we are very cold and snowy for 5 months of the year. Luckily for people like me, Blackstone has come out with the new Blackstone E Series Griddle. YaY!! Now … the Blackstone E Series is not available up here until at least mid 2022 so I found an E Series Griddle near my sisters place in Texas and paid to have it shipped to 🇨🇦. Worth every Penny for the shipping bcuz this griddle is #AWESOME. I watch you guys all the time not only bcuz you are HILARIOUS but love learning more about griddle cooking. Thanks fir the tips and what you guys do, keep up the fun shtufff and I’m positive I’ll see you in the next one. Until then … stay safe and happy griddling 🥩. Kevin 👊
Oh wow, thank you so much fam! So happy that you were able to find one! Brett has the E series, and we used it for our amazing chicken bacon ranch sandwich - so good!! It really is an amazing machine that can cook just about everything! Thank you so much for the kind words and for the support! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Guys first off I want to say thank you for being who you are and having fun cooking .... I was a grill man until I saw a cook you guys did ... I started out with a small Blackstone ... and I love cooking on it ... so much... lol ... I had to have the 36 inch air fryer combo ... and WOW ... my friends and family love the amazing food that I cook ... of course you guys cooked it first ...I’ve done a London Broil in minutes… That my family loved ... and thanks to you guys I have found something new that I deeply love cooking on my Blackstone ... I’ve done the pizza and many many other things too ... but I have to say the biggest hit so far was the bacon wrapped shrimp ... OMG ... I did two pounds and had to go back to Publix and get more ... lol ... simply awesome ... I watch Todd, The hungry hussy and Blackstone Betty oh my goodness you guys are awesome thank you so much for what you do keep up the good work... if you guys ever come to the Ft. Myers, FL I’d love to meet you and invite you to my home for some awesome Blackstone cooking ... Thanks David
Wow! Thank you so much for the love, support, kind words, and for watching!😄😄. That is so amazing, and as you can tell, we love cooking on the Blackstone!! For sure when we start traveling, we’d love to visit Fort Meyers to do some cooking!🔥🔥. Take care brother and GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙
Oh wow!!! I literally just watched ManKitchenRecipes, he has some tips and tricks for his Pit Boss, we are considering adding one to our outdoor kitchen!
I love your energy and positive attitude! There will always be someone telling you that your doing it wrong. Even if your not! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
So happy to have subbed to you guys, not only because I could be your brown-haired 3rd twin, but because there are so many takes on how to griddle. I found you both to be the most supportive, and down to earth. I just purchased the Blackstone 28 inch (2) burner griddle, and plan on seasoning it this weekend! I have all your videos saved to a private playlist, and will use them as a reference. Thanks for the great videos, and keep them coming!
Oh wow, this really means so much to us! We absolutely love cooking, and griddle cooking has become our favorite! We find there is so much food shaming and “griddle” armchair warriors who do it “better” - we were really surprised by the hate. We don’t have time for it, so we focus on the positive and try to take the mystery out of cooking so it’s fun for everyone! Congratulations on the new Blackstone! Keep us posted with how it’s going! You can reach out to us though our Facebook page as well (same name 😄). Take care and Griddle On fam!🤙🤙
Love you guys. I have a 22" in the garage for my cooks. I can't stand while using the griddle but the adjustable stand allows me to have it low enough to use while sitting. I have done MANY burgers, sausage, a stir fry (fabulous) numerous pork chops, chicken breast, french toast, grilled cheese etc. etc. love the results and I am NOT a cook. A hint, if you leave the griddle for more than a week without use you MUST give it a wash with hot water, a good wipe and fresh oil, the older oil gets rancid if the griddle is not used frequently. Again, love ya' keep up the good cooks. PS I live in central Florida (Apopka) so I know the weather issues you have, just keeps life interesting.
Oh man, you’re correct! I check almost daily, but when it sits, I make sure we readjust and cook/clean as needed.. Hahaha!! Man, hoka hey, I’m also in Apopka, this is where we film!!😉. DM on Facebook!🤙🤙
Great job sharing the harbor freight magnetic paper towel holders. Found those myself shortly after getting my air fryer. For anyone going in the store, look in the section with the giant tool boxes, should be right by those if not sitting on them.
Great video guys. I've had my 36" Blackstone about 6 weeks and I'm loving it. We haven't cooked in the house but a couple times since I got it. Still learning but love it.
Great stuff again fellas! I have used the air fryers quite a bit now and they are wayyyyy better as well as bigger than any other countertop air fryers I have used. Just don't start at high heat! Medium has cooked just fine but adjust as you may need. Invest in some pump spray oils (your preference)! Lightly spray food items in a bowl or on a tray and toss/coat in that "not into air fryer baskets". You'll thank me later when you clean them. I have picked up delicatessen paper sheets and foil sheets from Gordons Food and they are a great convenience. Also got the food grade trays that Mr Hussey suggested and use 2 or 3 of them per cook. Invaluable! If you can swing it or they are on sale, get the blue "shop paper towels" in painting/automotive or tools section of your store. They work great and are tougher than regular paper towels and lower lint in my opinion. This seems like a no brainer but get multiple propane tanks! I have 4 at all times because I have a weber grill as well. You run out and have only 1... your gonna have a bad time. That being said I found that stores like Ace Hardware and my local farm Fleet store "refill" propane tanks and it's cheaper than just swapping out tank at a gas station for example. Thanks again guys! I hope I can help someone just like you do :)
Mike! Yes! Excellent man, thank you so much for these amazing suggestions! My wife and I just today located a restaurant distribution center near us, we’re gonna check it out this weekend for trays! I love the idea of spray oils - Sam’s carries the 2 pack of olive oil! Seriously saving all of these suggestions, your awesome!🤙🤙
Everyone is going to have a different opinion. This is what makes us great but it can make us negative. It is also great to hear what others are doing, we can then adapt to fit ourselves. Love all the tips and recipes that you guys have done.
Just got my Blackstone Air Fryer combo yesterday, put it together today and did my first seasoning. Can't wait to fire it up and cook for the first time tomorrow! Would not have purchased this particular griddle if it weren't for the WALTWINS, THANK YOU!
Oh wow! That is crazy awesome! Congratulations on the new griddle! We love this beast! The air fryer drawers are amazing! Good luck and enjoy the journey fam! GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙
Oh wow, congratulations on the new Blackstone, that is so exciting!! Thank you for finding us, let us know if you ever have any questions man, take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
after i started watching this channel, last time I cooked brats I actually said in my head when i started "ok low and slow" when i fired it up. I do that every damn time now but you're absolutely right! Ive already been using most of the tips you listed only because I learned it from watching your channel primarily. I also watch Hussey's from time to time because he sounds like Elvis. I think the only tip I could offer is invest in a good cover for the griddle and keep it covered when you're not using it and maybe keep the propane turned off at the tank. Thanks again guys!
What is up brother?! Haha! For reals! We live by “low and slow” when it comes to griddle cooking - great call on the cover! I just tossed my soft cover and need to get a new one fast!🤙🤙
Thanks for the love, and even putting us in the same sentence with those legends is awesome!!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions you have!🤙🏻 Much love!
Oh amazing! Thank you for telling us! We love that you do it your way, in fact, Brett and I do it a little different now from each other. You do you!🤗🤗
Exactly, forget the haters, by the looks of the amount of followers you guys have, you are doing it right!! All the folks you mentioned as fellow UA-camrs are doing a great job, and we enjoy watching you guys just as much or more!! Keep up the great work!!
Oh wow, thank you so much! Yes, our dad was always very positive, so we just don’t give time for the hate - we just spread the positivity, and remind others to do the same! Thank you for watching Perry!🤙🤙
Wooohooo. You are going to absolutely love it! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you have! We are on FB and Instagram!!! Griddle on!!!😁❤️🤙
I just bought a 17 inch blackstone for camping, its also my first griddle, your channel has helped me out alot. I'm now considering buying a big griddle for the patio at home. winco has the squirt bottles usually. I also got a couple big trays at a cash and carry if you have those stores down there.
Thank you so much for the heads up on the big trays. We will see if we have a cash and carry here! Thank you for watching and showing love! Or is know if you have any questions, Wade!❤️

Just purchased mine and after converting to natural gas and seasoning yesterday, I've already done burgers last night and breakfast this morning....unbelievable difference in taste from a grill or indoor stove.
Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Thanks for all the videos! I am a new Blackstoner and your how to’s have opened a whole new world for me as I am a hardcore Big Green Egger.
Oh awesome! Thank you for watching! We for sure love griddle cooking, and sharing what we learn. Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙🔥🔥
Guys first off I want to say thank you for being who you are and having fun cooking ....
Thanks
David
Wow! Thank you so much for the love, support, kind words, and for watching!😄😄. That is so amazing, and as you can tell, we love cooking on the Blackstone!! For sure when we start traveling, we’d love to visit Fort Meyers to do some cooking!🔥🔥. Take care brother and GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙
the griddle guys is another great griddle channel
Thank you so much for watching! We’ll definitely watch more of them!🤙🤙
BTW, did/do you live in Utah?
I do/did not. I live in the land of liberals and high taxes...aka Connecticut
I was looking for Diamond and Silk and found you guys. Awesome!
Hahaha! That is so awesome! Those ladies kill it! Thank you so much for watching and chiming in!
Best tip ever that took me time to learn. Start out low and come up if needed. Awesome video.
Yes! Thank you so much for it watching! We agree, it’s always easier to add heat than take it down. 🤙🤙
Thanks for the tips and tricks guys. Keep up the good work! Griddle on!
Thank you so much for watching! We love sharing what we learn.😄😄
Great run through of tips and tools of the trade! You guys are rocking it, keep on griddlin brothers!
Boom! Thanks so much man, again, we love your support!🤙🤙
You do you and enjoy the ride! Love it.
We are loving the ride too!!! Thanks for riding along with us!❤️
I have the small Blackstone and I just bought a 4 burner Pit Boss with 748 sq.in. cooking area. Love both
Oh wow!!! I literally just watched ManKitchenRecipes, he has some tips and tricks for his Pit Boss, we are considering adding one to our outdoor kitchen!
@@waltwins I bought the big Pit Boss griddle. 748 sq in cooking space. About the same size as your Blackstone.
I love your energy and positive attitude! There will always be someone telling you that your doing it wrong. Even if your not! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Yes! Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. We love spreading the positivity - there is power in it. Much love fam!🤙🤙
Thanks for good info am doing first cook tonight, and appreciate your knowledge!
Guys, i have 3 Blackstones, Two 28" and a Tailgater. Just keep doing what you are !
So awesome man! Thank you so much! We’ll keep bringing the cooks!🤙🤙
Just got my griddle first time using it. On my 3rd video all ready thanks you for all your help really really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Yay, that is so exciting, congratulations on the new griddle! For sure let us know if you ever have any questions! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!
Thanks again for another terrific video, guys!
Thank you so much for watching!🤗🤗
@@waltwins sorry don't do Facebook but i DO watch you on utube religiously. keep cookin'.
I've got an identical twin and I'm still cooking by myself. Love the videos
Haha! Awesome! You gotta fix that man, cook together!😜. Thanks so much for watching man!🤙🤙
I purchased that knife when I moved out. that thing is a gem. Recently purchased a knife sharpener. Best $30 spend on a grilling knife set up
That is awesome! We love it for sure, and a knife sharpener is such a great tool to have! Take care fam, GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥
Great job sharing the harbor freight magnetic paper towel holders. Found those myself shortly after getting my air fryer. For anyone going in the store, look in the section with the giant tool boxes, should be right by those if not sitting on them.
Yes! Perfect! I was able to find mine, they had them “color coordinated” with the same color tool boxes and all accessories. You’re awesome man!🤙🤙
Hope you guys are safe from the storm!!
Thank you so much brother! Looks like we are both just east of the worst of it - take care fam! 🔥🔥🤙🤙
Great video guys. I've had my 36" Blackstone about 6 weeks and I'm loving it. We haven't cooked in the house but a couple times since I got it. Still learning but love it.
We have found the same problem... 😜 We spend so much time on our Blackstones that our ovens are collecting dust!😂 thanks for showing the love!
Thank you so much Kay - we ALWAYS respect your take and opinion, because we know it comes with respect. Thank you!!🤙🤙
Just got my Blackstone Air Fryer combo yesterday, put it together today and did my first seasoning.
GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙
Great Tips and Tricks Fam!!! Keep up the incredible work! We are so proud of you guys!
Thanks so much for the love as always guys! PS. This is Brett!!!🤗
Hahaha! And now it’s Adam. Thanks so much Ed, we’ll always love your support. Miss you guys!🤙🤙
Love your videos. Learn a lot. Love my 36 inch Blackstone. Keep it up. Also like how you guys work together and off of each other.
Wow, that really means so much to us! Thank you for chiming in and for watching!🤙🤙
So glad I found your Chanel fixing to head to get my first black stone here in few hours!
BEST PURCHASE WE EVER MADE ❤❤❤
This is #FACTS!! Much love fam, GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥
You guys, Hussey, Todd, etc are great. All you guys have given awesome tips that have helped me a ton! #griddlenation

My husband loved the Japanese style cook that was inspired by you. We did it our way. He asked for the leftovers twice. Lol
Oh amazing! Thank you for telling us! We love that you do it your way, in fact, Brett and I do it a little different now from each other. You do you!🤗🤗
Thank you guys. Keep up the fantastic job!
Wow, thank you so much!
