Yes. They should. Also, when I was in high school every video on UA-cam that had *anything* to do with being gay or trans, even if the words were so much as mentioned in the video, the comment sections would be 99.999999% hateful, ignorant, religious, barbaric, illiterate and confused, but blatant bigotry. It takes a long time for culture to genuinely change, but there are so many safe spaces online for LGBTQ compared to even five -ten years ago. Maybe it’s a low bar, but god it is amazing to see a version of youtube where comment sections are full of people laughing at bigots and not the other way round. But yes I agree, LGBTQ+ related matters need to be incorporated into school curriculum. History, sex ed, biology, social studies etc.
The most amazing thing about those pranks are that these people are so surprised when their family gets mad and can actually see what were going thru most of the time when we are coming out
The “I’m not transgender I’m straight” thing reminded me of this time my senior year in high school a guy was trying to be funny and wrote “bisexual” as his gender on a survey legitimately believing that it was a gender not a sexuality then he started talking about how that’s weird and confusing and we were like “dude stop” and he was like “what it’s fine it’s not like anyone here is bisexual”. I was there. I am bisexual.
why being gay doesn't suck: 1) men 2) men in leather 3) men in cute underwear 4) we can generally drink 'sissy' drinks without our masculinity shattering into a thousand tiny peices 5) we dress better 6) we throw great parades 7) you get to hold other men's hands
At least they get a little taste of how it is when people actually come out. Kinda feel bad for them because it shows them just how fast their family and friends turn on them
This is what I think about when I see these videos. They joke about it like there aren’t people who can really can’t even tell their parents out of fear. I’ve always told my children from very young I will support them and love them for who they are not who they are period. No labels no expectations no judgement

My dad told me he would only call me my deadname and he was going to try to convince me to "stay a girl" and to "keep being his daughter" and he still talks about me getting a boyfriend. But yeah coming out pranks are really funny can't you see how hard I'm laughing?

Yes. They should. Also, when I was in high school every video on UA-cam that had *anything* to do with being gay or trans, even if the words were so much as mentioned in the video, the comment sections would be 99.999999% hateful, ignorant, religious, barbaric, illiterate and confused, but blatant bigotry.
