    As a trans man, if someone who doesn’t know that I’m trans misgenders me, yes it hurts a little, but I don’t get mad because they didn’t know. If the person does it on purpose to use the wrong pronouns after correcting them multiple times,that’s a different story

      Trans woman here. Pretty much the same. I only get mad at people if they intentionally misgender me after I've asked them not to or something simillar. But that isn't so much a matter of them being transphobic or anything. Then I'm just mad because they're being an asshole

      I’m non-binary,if someone misgenders me I will get a bit uncomfortable,but if I can tell that it was unintentional then I will normally just correct them.I don’t pass as anything but female so most people will end up saying stuff like “have a good day ma’am”,”ladies first”,and when I was younger “what a nice little girl”.So I do want gender neutral pronouns to be more commonly used,especially because where I live there are a lot of trans people so it would save us a lot of trouble.

      It really, really hurt me (I was and still am very sensitive to what people say about me-) and I immediately put the toy back and dragged my mum away from toy aisle. When she asked me what was wrong I just said that I didn’t like the toys anymore and I don’t think she ever found out why I stopped playing with them.
      I hid behind my mum or friends every time I saw the guy after that and when he and his friends started asking me about that I always denied it and said that I wouldn’t play with "boy toys".
      So yeah.

So it's not that others should stop being kind to women it's just that we should treat everyone with the same chivalry, like "you go first" instead of "ladies first"

      But at the same time, I know that even though I'm a man,(trans, and pre-T unfortunately ;-;) I wouldn't last a minute in a fight against a biological guy.
      I feel bad for the woman with the skull injury. From what I could tell, she wasn't at all against her for being trans, just the fact that she has an undeniable biological advantage... So I really hope no one came after her after she lost the fight (I doubt it, but the internet is a shitty place sometimes :\)

    • @shadexgrey9551
      @shadexgrey9551 4 роки тому +14

      @@BearAlt you're partially right actually, it's kind of like genderfluid! so basically, for me, the three spectrums for me are demiboy, agender, and demigirl (but this can vary from person to person.) There's also demigender, (more similar to genderfluid than demiflux) is a term used to describe the fluctuation between feeling demiboy, agender, or demigirl. the difference between demigender, genderfluid, and demiflux, is that genderfluidity is usually described as feeling fully, or almost fully, sometimes male, female, or intergender (usually nonbinary). Demigender is the same, except it describes the feeling of fluctuating between demiboy, to intergender, to demigirl. DemiFLUX, however, means that part of the idenity is static, meaning it is always there, but varies in intensity, while the other part fluctuates constantly. So for me, the part that fluctuates is demiboy and agender, and the part that is static is the demigirl, because the femininity is kind of always there, just sometimes lower and sometimes higher. So, for example, i can have a day that I'm feeling demiboy, but the demigirl part is pretty intense static, so i'd express that at feminine male. Another example would be i feel somewhere in between demiboy and agender, but the demigirl is very low in intensity, so i might express myself very adrogynous,or nonbinary. (or agender, adrogynous is a very "umbrella" term).
      sorry if this is confusing- i promise it's not as complicated as it sounds ^^' i kinda just go with whatever i feel most of the time, but to make it short, most of the time i feel somewhere between demiboy and agender, with a middle-range intensity demigirl static, so i usually express myself as feminine male? like, i like to dress male, and my hair is short, ((and i would prefer to have a binder if i was allowed to have one cough)), but i would wear makeup and skinny jeans, ((which are usually considered a more feminine attribute.)) again, this probably sounds super complicated, im responding to this at 3 am so if you have any questions please ask ^^'

      But now I’m probably just blabbering on but that literally sounds like me!

      Fun fact: if this ad was _filmed_ recently, it used extremely outdated info cause there were in fact 56 options to gender in Facebook but they decided to just put a custom button so people would use whichever term they were comfortable with. This changed a good while ago.
      The list of “56 genders” consisted mostly in several different ways of referring to the same genders so you had many options to present yourself in any way you were comfortable with. Approximately 20-30 of those 56 options were different ways you could say “trans man” and “trans woman”. For example, there was “FTM” and “Female to Male” which is literally the same thing but you had the option of leaving it in the acronym or not. Along with that, there were many non-binary options, a few non-binary genders had different versions as well. Even like that, it was kind of a limited feature and they just let everyone put whatever they feel like. But if I’m not mistaken, they have a “gender data” thing to prevent people from putting stuff like “Attack Helicopter”

Also, pronouns aren't the same as gender, so if you don't feel comfortable with both she/her and they/them, it doesn't make you any less of a demigirl if you decide you're a demigirl. Okay let’s give an example of something that doesn’t involve almost dying. How about those transgender teenage girls who are destroying the competition in track in high school by a lot. Not like a healthy oh yea they’re just faster a these girls will never catch up to these two no matter how hard they trained. A lot of these girls are losing chances to get scholarships and go to school and even just have fun in a sport they love cause no matter what they won’t win because of those two girls. I don’t like that people are using this to demonize trans people but it’s just plain facts, if you have transitioned after puberty you have an unfair advantage against your identifying gender. Not just to others but also yourself. It’s similar to taking steroids in the fact that it’s not fair and give you an unfair advantage against your non steroid competition.

      Yup, something similar happened to me too a buuuunch of times.
      Beware: Long rant incoming in 3...2...1:
      I believe most often you can differentiate between a man holding a door open for you because he's your friend and a man doing it because "You're a lady and I'm a gentleman and it is the courtesy". The first one is great, the second one really annoys me.
      When I nicely hold open the door for some dudes (cause we're frens) they just stand in their spot and demand I pass through first. Once a guy just pushed me through the door because he could not bear passing it first. It's such a tiny thing, but the more it happens to you the more annoying it just gets.
      The reason why, is that he claims to do it for me to be nice, but when I nicely say that I'm not really comfortable with it, and would like to be treated as a friend instead of "a lady", he gets really pissed. This shows that he isn't doing it out of respect and kindness for me but for himself (because that's how he learned it).
      That doesn't really make it a kind or respectful action.
      It's just bat shit crazy.
      So please, dear peeps: Respect others wishes and don't go on the "I'll treat you like a lady whether you want it or not"-path... it's not cool
      I know it's technically not that significant but it happened so often that it became an interesting situation to analyze XDD
      Also: PragerU is stupid and as scientific as flat earthers :*

      @@olive4228 That's why I often pretend to be distracted by something, so everyone can go before me, because they think, I am busy with something, when in reality, I am not. I just do not want them to be "polite with me, because that's how it supposed to be." No, the point is: sometimes that person should be the first who goes through the door, sometimes the other.
      It also reminds me a cartoon (I watched it when I was really young, it can be find in a UA-cam in English, if you type it: Cedric english, but I don't remember a name of the episode) where a guy wanted to impress his classmate, so he got a book about how to be the lady's man and one of the advices of the book was the door one. The girl got pretty fed up by him fast, and he learned the lesson in the end: there is no universal way to earn a girl's heart. Same things does not imply to everyone. And you shouldn't force your help, because that's not polite, just rude. It was such a good lesson to a child's cartoon to have. The kid was kind of naughty though, so he gave that useless book to his rival as a birthday-present in the end. At least that's how I remember it. I haven't watch it like 12 years now.

    1. The person who you are referring to is a woman. Yes, she is a trans woman, but still a woman. Your statement is flat out wrong, period.
    2. This statement is out of context. It was in a boxing match. People get sent to the hospital all the time in boxing matches. This time, the impact happened to be inflicted by a trans woman. This does not give you the right to berate the trans woman for her actions. She was participating in a boxing match, it was not an act of anger or a fight. You extracted the context to make your argument look better. This is essentially a form of lying.
    3. You're exaggerating points that don’t make sense in the first place, so in the end the noises that are being uttered out of your mouth have zero logic or reason to them. Nothing that you're saying is backed up by science or facts, you're pulling it out of your own transphobic asshole. Please think about the words you attempt to say before you say them and try to think: does this make any fucking sense at all? If the answer is no, which in this case it would be, then maybe think about your point, even a little. It is blatantly obvious that you did not do this at all. Please attempt to use your brain.
    I know this will be difficult because it's quite obvious that yours is broken or possibly doesn't exist. I would like to suggest that you get some professional help to try and fix that problem.

    Actually Facebook did have a huge gender list at one point, but the reason why there were so many options is because they were so redundant. According to a list I found, these are all the options that mean “woman”:
    -woman
    -female
    -cisgender woman
    -cisgender female
    -cis woman
    -cis female
    -transgender woman
    -transgender female
    -trans woman
    -trans female
    -trans* woman
    -trans* female
    It was the same with “man” and “male”. That’s 24 of the 50-something genders right there. And guess what? They’re all binary... they even listed “transgender” “trans” “trans*” “cisgender” and “cis” as gender options, even though none of those are gender identities of their own...

    I love how they act like a woman injuring another woman in an MMA battle, where people by definition beat the CRAP out of each other, is the same as like, abuse or physical assault. Like. It’s MMA!! People get injured all the time and go into these fights knowing they could be hurt. It sucks that she was hurt but she’s a PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER that’s what can happen

    • @isabelvictoria3590
      @isabelvictoria3590 5 років тому +37

      Mags Honey yes of course she knew she could get hurt because it is MMA but also, she was fighting a biological man. Males are biologically stronger than females and she didn't sign up to fight a man. She thought she was going to fight a woman. And, yes, she identifies as a woman and I'm not saying that her identity is invalid but she has a biological advantage.

    • @marchhoney6329
      @marchhoney6329 5 років тому +62

      Isabel Victoria the thing is people can get the shit beat out of them in mma no matter what gender. People break bones, people have even died. I’m sure she was told who she was fighting and was aware she would be up against a trans woman, and she agreed to the fight. It’s not like her opponent being a trans woman suddenly means this was a cruel attack, it was still an MMA match where the risks are fully known.

    • @isabelvictoria3590
      @isabelvictoria3590 5 років тому +21

      Mags Honey You're right. I don't agree that it was a "cruel attack" or reasoning that these days a man can hit a woman and get by with no charges. But at the same time she does have an advantage over the other competitors. I'm not saying that she didn't know the risks but either way it's a bit unfair that they have biological men fighting women in the MMA. They have an advantage. It's the same with trans men participating in men's wrestling. It would be unfair to think that a biological female can take on a biological male. In my opinion it's not right. I don't want to offend anyone but those are just my thoughts.

There's a difference between overly sensitive people on these topics versus people who are very leftist. SJWs do not equal the extreme left. Those who are very left but are not "SJWs" understand that not everything is an aggressive act.

They also tend to use at least two (2) sets of pronouns. I personally use female and gender non-conforming pronouns (she/her, they/them, xe/xer, etc.)

      Toxi et Cracky ! Yeah Demiboy here. What above said ^^ is pretty much correct on our experiences. I don’t fully identify as a boy, but I’ve never got affected by gender dysphoria because of it. I just feel far more comfortable around girls than boys and I find that I do not want to conform to traditional male values. I’ve shaved my body hair in some instances and while I haven’t dressed fem, I do like more stylistic clothing to wear on a day-to-day basis when I don’t want to go casual. But yeah, demigender is a nonbinary term that lies between both binary and nonbinary. Girls can also end up identifying as demiboys and vice versa.
