Want another combo:
Equip glidding mantle, clagger a monster and then hook and let go the claw for activating the mantle and allowing you to slam, fullburst and stake.
My other favourite combo is what I call the full house combo:
Forward lunge -> slam -> fullburst -> sweep -> WS -> WF.
If you do it after a flinch shot the WF will detonate just after the monster recovers and makes very likely to get a trip, clagger or knockdown.
Basically, my combo levels don't rely on tools much. Ahh, Full house for Level 7. Such a good term for a savage GL combo.
@@dcshiori I guessed so, Glidder is still very overlooked for normal gunlance it has very long duration and short cooldown, two level 2 decorations and opens up this combo.
I usually put some dps decos there like agitator+ to free up slots for stuff like evade extender, I start the fight with rocksteady for getting these flinchshots and ignoring the roars and then swap to glidder when the monster enrages and agitator is activated.
@@dcshiori your setup and methods are far more efficient in coop play than having to rely too heavily on tools or mantles. Not that those are bad but yours covers the fundementals. Me and my friend recently came back to MHW+IB after finishing it ages ago. We find your vids still so useful as a refresher

I feel like an important aspect of GL is mastering lingering hitboxes. Some explosions and stake attacks lingers so you can pull them off before the monster reach them, and they'll get hit as they move into it. Gives you more options and room for maneuvers.

I'm so keen to make Insect Glaive one. But, I need community funding to do it. Production value is crazy for the 10 LEVELS of Weapon Series, especially requirement of additional HDD storage for recording and editing process.
Been learning this weapon to add some variety to my squad, the wyrmstake guard point and getting a full reload off a clutch claw grab is both insanely cool and helpful

Tried to look it up online but i cant find anything. It would be nice if you could put some controls guide on the video... (i am using a ps5 controller)

Hello man, I'm a new player to Monster Hunter World. I was trying to improve on gunlance since it's my favourite weapon and also my only one. So I was searching for guides and I found your video. The video is very well edited and very entertaining so i wanted to understand more. May I ask what is a guard point and what does it do? Also how did you perform a chained swing fullburst? Which keys did you press at 4:52 to perform that ledge attack? Also; sorry to bother further but I don't even know what is a fullburst, may you explain that please? 😅

Guard Point is an auto-guard technique that performed automatically during reload animation~
I play MHW Iceborne on PS platform. Maybe my key/button is different if you are playing on XBOX or PC.
Also, sorry, I kinda forgot how to perform each combo that showcases in the video~
I've been retired playing MHW Iceborne for a while.
For your information, Full burst is a technique that shoots all Gunlance Normal ammo/shelling in a single explosive slash.

Build depends on your playstyle. There are Long, Poke Wide Shell, Wide, Fullburst and Swing.

Artillery LV5 (Zorah Magdaros armor) + Capacity Boost is a mandatory skill for any Shelling (Long, Wide, Normal/Fullburst Gunlance) to increase the DPS. Unlike, the Wide and Long ones, Normal/Fullburst doesn't need Focus skills. Moreover, I highly recommend to use Master Touch skill (3 pieces equipment from Teostra armor), full attack and critical skills.
Guard skill is optional for Normal user, you may use Evade Window Skill LV5 instead for easy evade. Please, pay more attention to the Gunlance Tips in my video for crucial GL techniques should be mastered.

I don't know about the Wyvern'e Fire hitbox range. But, wideshell type is the strongest Wyvern's Fire Damage ✧\(>o

I dont see you doing it here so I aasume its gone

You forgot FullBurst mounted finisher into clutch Claw jump off into aerial overhead smash into another FullBurst combo.
You also missed infinity ledge attack spam speed run. It’s not really flashy so it’s fine if you don’t include it.
Yoo, I never add mounted finisher combo into my 10 levels weapon series because the chance of mounting a monster is limited.
For infinity ledge attack spam, I made some aerial combo pack for levels 9 instead.
@@dcshiori Yeah you right. The mounted finisher into FullBurst combo needs the glider mantel most of the time.

I don't know.. I like almost any other weapon in MHWI (except Lbg and Hbg), and I really like Lance, but something off in GunLance for me.. this lake of mobility very boring.. During the video char just standing and shelling ))
The weapon so flashy, it breaks monster AI and drops framerates like a very hot cup of coffee.
