@@RobinDrones Well, even as the EASA site coyld be out if date, for a C0 classification, it woyld have to be limited to 120 m above takeoff, and be equipped with geo-awareness. I don' recall if that means geofencing

The height on the Fimi can be set to 800m! The height of the Potensic used to be 500m, but i heard that to be able to be compliant with class 0, they needed to lower it to 120m. Which they did. Fimi must have a fake label 🏷 which doesn't bother me as we don't recognise that classification 🇬🇧 yet....

@@RobinDrones well, there may be some hope still. Perhaps in the UK it's 800 m, but just like dji drones, maybe the firmware will adhere to C0 once sold in EASA... because it does seem like a fine piece of kit, at an attractive price.

No, you rarely have to do it unless you're near a lot of metal objects.

I would have loved to fly further, but that's illegal in my country 🇬🇧. The UA-cam police would tell the police! 🚔 🙄 Any one of these drones signals is good for vlos flying. That's what I was trying to show..

2.25mi / 3345(?)m is my farthest away record on potensic atom :) standing at one end of 1/8mi street & flying past other end for no obstructions down low by me is key :) i use sport mode so not sure if normal would get me farther since it returns because of intelligent low battery alert.. i use the 5el yagis too.

@@carlthomas5481 nice... I'm pretty sure I was flying in normal mode. The intelligent battery kicked in the rth and by the time I got back I still had 20% battery

The potensic does not have enough battery to fly 10 km et get back home.

@@mast3rbugI went with it 9.7km totak and still had 30% battery left. With lvl 5, 6 and 7 gusts it went 17 minutes. It got the signal and the battery life to achieve that while filming in 4k for the most part. ua-cam.com/video/Aa1SOM0e2g4/v-deo.html . Figures I am not alone, there are plenty of examples of 12km total !

​@@carlthomas5481 129 meters high. Not a fanboy, i just have the 3 main drones at that price tag and the FIMI mini 3 is by far the worst of the tree at everything. Its 4k video is blurry, night mode is garbage, there is a gigantic delay in commands once you go 300 meters and the range is just pathetic as the signal is really weak right now. I had hopes I could keep the FIMI but now I just want to get rid of it and never look back.

Come on, don't be so rude, I got the fimi mini 3 and potensic atom also, I did a side-by-side test with them, fimi mini 3 is much better in range.

Yeh, I like it more than I thought I would! There are some downsides, some funny little quirks,which I will make a video about. One example of this is I tried to record an 8k hyperlapse(no other drone offers this), and it uses so much proccesor power that the fpv feed seemed like around 3 fps. It was actually unflyable! But all drones have strengths and weaknesses such as, Both my dji minis have gimbal knock on normal and sports mode. Atom has a small sensor. It's just a shame that the Fimi isn't available on Amazon yet..

It should take 1h 30 according to the specs, that's with a 18w PD charger 0-100% Is yours a pd charger? I think most usb c to usb c Chargers are pd. But not if it's usb A to usb C. I could be wrong, though... But yeah, it shouldn't take that long. Have you got another charger to try?

Okay and my samsung fast 25w chargers are the old ones Got 2 of them , with the usb not type c, just was wondering cus they say the 18w charger charges 1 in 90 minutes but how can a 25w take longer when to me lol it sounds like it got even more then it needs

The lights on the charging hub do flash faster with it then the 1 samsung charger ive got that's not fast charging

So what charger do u use , that I'd be worth getting ive looked at the dji 18w one says it works with mini 2 se but it's a usb (the white charger) or they do a 30w charger that's type c (black charger ) that also works with mini 2 se

Oh yeh i forgot to mention that if the lights flash fast, then it's fast charging, but it sounds like you already know that 😉 Sounds like one of your chargers of the cable is faulty. But even with a fast charger in the charging hub, they take ages to fully charge. They are quick up to 80%, then very slow up to 100% Around 4 hours to charge all 3 up from empty 👍

Ha ha, she was actually out when I filmed that video. Yes, the countryside I take for granted as it's always been there and I've always lived in England. I would think the same about Canada that looks amazing in the wilderness 😀 I can't really do a range test, a small minority here in the UK are drone police on UA-cam. They would report me to the Caa or police they get you by your car number plate. It happened to "windswept robert" have you heard of him?

One good thing with the Potensic is that it fully charges all the batteries at the same time very quickly. 👍 But yeh mini 4 is very very hard to beat!

DJI has Superior radio technology at this point... I just took my potenaic atom 2 miles off the coast of San Diego over the ocean without any breakup. My biggest gripe with it (atom) the latency and the low light. I fly two drones every day. My atom and my DJI FPV.

Because that means they will be flying outside of visual line of sight, and uploading a video of that is self incriminating

Yeh, but that would be beyond VLOS. I would think my are would be high interference as the house are bunched up like most areas here in the 🇬🇧

Robin and Drew (The Drone Guy) are the best non-sponsored reviewers of mini drones by far. Markus (Idaho Quadcopter) is another fav, but not sure how much he is sponsored.

Think Robin gives 110% in every you tube I will check out the others but Robin will be hard to beat

Thanks, Yeh, the camera and colours look decent. 👌 Also, i might add that I didn't edit the video at all. That was straight out of the drone. Normal colour mode, hdr mode on, 4k 30, and 0 exposure 👍

@@RobinDrones Your color profile looked better than G-Man’s. The Fimi drones have never very consistent from one unit to another.
