I keep Silica sachets in my drone bags and cases to stop fogging, developing on the camera lens and soaking up any moisture on the drone in cold weather

Under the hinge of the battery on the main aircraft body as I don't want it on show!

keep up the good work ive purchased a mini 2se 2 month ago and getting to grips with it and making some good footage.. can you please tell me how you are managing to video your phone screen have you an app on your phone or is it a setting in the dji fly app
So most android and iPhone, I believe, have a screen recorder built it. Just swipe down from the top twice (android) to show all icons. Oh, my phone, you then have to swipe left to show the screen recorder icon. Click that, and then you get the option to have no sound, media sounds, or mic and media sounds. I hope this helps. 👍
I've really enjoyed your series of videos Robin, very informative, easy going and practical. Icing on drones is a real danger, only the other morning over here, a poor guy lost his drone in Padarn lake ( Llanberis, Snowdonia ). He was trying to get a photo, but flew for too long, as it was -5 first thing here. He did recover it, as it landed close to the shore, but I reckon he'll be lucky to get it back up working again, poor guy. At least his memory card will probably be okay. Thanks for the share.

@@RobinDrones Hi Robin, sorry i haven't got a video, i was out taking photos at the time, and i didn't like to ask the poor guy to send me a link..😊, he seemed very upset at the time, and rightfully so. But it's a common occurrence around this area for people to find discarded drones of vering descriptions, some mid priced ones, and other very expensive ones, must be heartbreaking to loss one really. I'm enjoying my first few days of the Mavic 2 SE, however, I'm not enjoying the loss of connection issues I'm having on every single flight, I've even downloaded the dji software from their own website, but still i lose connection, maybe my Samsung S21 Ultra version of Android is not stock enough for the dji software, some people have said, get a cheap iphone model, and use it as a device only for the drone. Very frustrating 🙄. Thanks again for the videos, much appreciated.
I don't think it would be your phone as you can fly these without a phone connected. So the signal only must come from the actual remote. How far away are you when it loses signal?
Hi Robin, 200meters away before I lost connection, I was really getting frustrated, but, last week, I found my old Android TCL10 phone which I has before the S21 Samsung. Now i connected the TCL phone to the drone, and I have been out twice since with no lose of connection issues. I'm thinking, is the older phone, running on Android 11, a more stock version of android, than what's running on the S21 ? Anyway, if it works, then I'm a happy bear to be honest. I liked the latest video on the Atom 3 drone, very interesting.

Nice video, subscribed. I just got back from the Peak District 1600ft agl. -1c, freezing fog. I was aware of the risk but took the drone up to get some shots of a huge Antenna above the fog layer. I have no idea how the drone survived, by a miracle it only started losing lift on the approach to landing. The leading edge of the props where covered in ice, and the flight computers and props were working overtime to help get it home safely. Air2s, won't be trying that again! Got some amazing shots though!
Thanks for the sub 👍. Glad you got your drone back safely. It would be nice if there was a warning on the app during flight to warn us about icing of the props.
@@RobinDrones Unfortunately the only warning we get is motor overload, at that point, a dangerous amount of ice is already present. Best to land asap, then travel to the drone. Also, high speed increases the ice build-up, along with vertical climbs and descents. If stuck in freezing fog, descend slowly with forward motion.
