Fimi has been making a version of the X8SE since 2016 in one form or another. My first "not toy class" drone was X8SE 2020. Loved it, flew it 2 years and sold it for 100% of purchase price. The user interface is less slick, more techy and feature over style. Their drones (beside the X8 Mini) are built sturdy, strong and feature rich. They have used, over time, Ultrasound, Flow Control, Infrared and Time of Flight for positional accuracy with varying successes and almost ran's. They have yet to make a super stable hovering drone. If you can get past that... they have mature technology, manufacture quality, well built aircraft and controllers and provide solid support for their products. I have a long, positive relationship with Fimi, for what its worth.
I'm hopeful that the new mini 3 will be good. The price seems too good to be true, $299 for that you get a half decent 1/2" sensor 4k 60, Timelapse, precision landing the list goes on..

Oh, FIMI here in the UK is not very popular at all, I see loads of people in the USA have one, but here, not so much.
I had a fimi x8 se 2020 , good drone for the price with some defeats . Neve had a dji but looking at footage , colors and image quality are more natural expecially in the pro version (at higher price obviously)

I was going to say Fimi, but I did not know about this new Sub 250 Fimi. I was going with the full size Fimi. Collision avoidance will only cause a crash from you trying to fool it. I have a Mavic drone with collision avoidance and I can honestly say it has never helped me at all. It can actually get in the way, so I end up turning it off anyway. I believe It is there just to increase the price. It's a feature you will rarely ever use unless you have never flown at all. Long story short, I think you have made a good choice with the Sub 250 Fimi mini 3.
Yeh, you're probably right about collision avoidance it will lure you into a false sense of security. I saw on UA-cam a video,I think he was flying an air 3. He flew it not once but twice into a brick wall using collision avoidance and destroyed the drone!

Collision avoidance has caused nothing but problems in my DJI drones. It literally takes control away from you and sometimes this leads to catastrophic situations. One even where the drone decide to fly off by itself. DJI said it was my fault because the drone had low GPS signal. SMH
Yeh, if I had it, I wouldn't trust it at all. Maybe in a few years, it will be perfect?
I’ve got the version two it’s an excellent drone and the battery life is amazing and it’s very fast. There are two downsides in my opinion to the version two it’s not stable when low to the ground. It moves around a lot and also the video is jerky so you need to use a really good Memory card with it but the jerkiness never goes away. Particularly noticeable when you yaw around
You have to try and smooth it out in editing. I’ve put together a little review about it. I’ll Post in the next few days
This is my second one. My first one flew away and I lost it LOL but I thought I’d give it another try as it is a fun drone and has lots of features. It’s definitely excellent value for money.
4k 60fps on the Fimi mini 3 should sort out the jerky video?

It’s not so noticeable if you use the cinematic slow option

Yeh, I'm interested to see how good the video quality is. On paper, it's better than the mini 2 se and the Atom. So this may well be the best value/beginner drone

I'm a beginner so I feel I need the 3 pro with the crash sensors. What do you think? Is love to only spend $299
By all means, if you can afford it, that would be a good pick. But you can't rely on the obstacle avoidance sensors, I've seen many videos and heard from a few people saying that the sensors give them a false sense of security and end up crashing their expensive drone 🫣
I bought fimi mini 3 with 3 batteries 1 of them plus battery 37 minutes. All cost for me 300 dollar but it with customs it will be 320-350 dollar

On paper, the Fimi is better. But there are no reviews yet as they haven't started to ship them. I have made a spreadsheet comparison, which I will show in my next video.

Not everybody can afford a DJI drone, so go to something affordable. DJI is also being pushed aside by some government agencies. The title of the video suggests you're open to Autel and Holy Stone, but you seem to have already made up your mind.
Yes, I'm open to all manufacturers. I try not to be a "Dji fan boy"
Autel drones look very good, but they seem more expensive than Dji. Holy stone are cheapish, but from what I've seen, the video quality isn't great.
Potensic Atom is a great drone for the price!
Fimi on paper sounds very good. I just hope it's priced, right? It needs to be around the same price or lower than the Dji mini 2 se and the Atom 👍
If only it could reach half that range Withougt video signal drop from 500 metre to 700 metre all the way to an abysmal 3 klm..
All the fancy specs but the range is more like a WiFi drone... Period
Is it that bad? This one is duel band, but you have to choose the band manually.
I've not had an issue with the signal yet.
