this seems much much better compared to npc that seeing someone looking at them (not a tourist) or jet pack jumping don t ask any question... this seems a cool thing and it s nice to do good in the galaxy the problem is reaching the location too... so full cool experience

how come all have a bounty in this settlement? u should check before killing if they have a bounty or u are a pirate... shoot then ask questions...mmm it doesn t make sense going around jumping without being questioned game design mechanix plus player interpretantion is not immersive

not interested in stealth + commbat but clandestine operations not being noticed not raising any emergency really get out.. all contextual no meta tricks .. good video to know rules of the game , no spoiler really i don t like the shooting in what is a raid (too easy to destroy everything as a pirate criminal mafia) so this guide is finally something useful but hard to find! also u dnt mention u make pass out that npc with a overcharge electric hit.. what possible consequences?..

Thanks. Great content. Just starting today on the journey to upgrade suits n weapons. Have all G3 out of the pioneer shopping and I wanted something nuanced to do. Stealth style looks fun and challenging. I get it. BurrPit vid led me here and between the two of you I'm all ready to start. Elite Explorer with no experience of this so I'm excited to start. In vids it reminds me a bit of Metal Gear Solid.

There's no way that people are actually saying that the stealth on this game is good, it needs a polish.

I encountered this one for the first time the other day and was quite surprised when I learned how far you had to go through the complex to find the alarms panel. I ended up scanning a level 1 id and using the south entrance, cutting into the level 2 area and going from there. It’s kind of funny how you need to go through at least 2 restricted areas to reach the alarms panel, but once you’re there, you can walk right up to it without anyone caring.

Why u dont get notoriety at this time?

The most important -> disable alarm first! if u dont -> disable alarm first! So u have more time to kill all peoples and do what u want without new enemies at settlement.

Thief fan missions more fun than this.

Thank you for all the good info provided in your videos! I tend to use stealth mechanics in any FPS/adventure game and it has really been a pleasure testing these methods out in Odyssey. I do have a question, though. In several settlement raids (missions, for the extra rewards) to low security, large settlements, I have failed the mission due to a weird partial damage effect with the Executioner. Mine is lvl 2 and should output more than enough damage to 1-shot an unshielded guard/soldier from a nearby hidden crouch, but inevitably a single guard is not killed by a direct hit, raises their shields and sees me through walls as I hunker down in an elevated position. It feels like all the stealth mechanics fail arbitrarily at the same time. The alarm is then raised and I am either killed or my ship is destroyed. Is this a bug? What could I be doing wrong? Is partial damage possible from 5-10m away, in game? To confirm, if I just choose an anarchy settlement from Inara, this doesn't happen.

If I use the "quiter footsteps" mod on my suit, does it also remove/reduce the falling noise when I get down from high locations?

2:06 the most important pause in the video. COs holy shit teh UI in those terminals is very confusing. It took me ages to find what i was looking for and i NEVER saw the alarm console tag. The reaosn is because teh UI will sometime sshow the list items lower down teh list then when you go it it looks like teh list is finished due to how teh Ui looks. Utter shite and confusign if you don't know. Really nto enjoying the new updates for stealth either. Ai able to spot you very silly easy. Oh well can't expect FDEv to make anything well made, easy to use or even fair.

In an open environment, does help staying crouched in order to reduce visibility while NPCs use torches to see you? Or is crouch mainly for reducing sound and hide behind obstacles?

I remember being in this layout of a settlement. Bruh i was stuck in that building for a hour back then. i couldnt find the exit. Hillarious error when looking back.

Fascinating, still doesn't answer the question what to do when scavs drop at my abandoned base in a group right on top of me. It is rather aggravating that despite seeing an imperial cutter scavs still decide it's worth trying. And I suppose one can always say I should have brought a friend.

Thank you so much for these videos, they are very helpful and you have an easy voice to listen to, but I ran into a problem yesterday where I was supposed to get the power regulator, and there were two researchers in the room, but they didn't patrol at all. They were just standing at the alarm panel and each researcher were staring down both stairs so there was no way of getting up there without being spotted. Should I just abandon it?

Great guide mate. One Question: After you’ve killed them all and you start looting, how long is it before more Scavs arrive?

I like how you can power down the people with the charger, I tried headshotting somebody with my pistol but it must have had the wrong silencer as it went loud and didnt kill them outright, I should have just timed my run instead.

I have been playing your videos again, Im forming a mantra, which I hope will come back to me when I try the on foot bit again.

One I'd add: Get good at using the the camsuite. Think of it like throwing up a mini-spy drone. Find a safe spot, then unlock the camera. You can use it to _fly_ around the settlement, and you can see guard patrols in real time. You won't be able to tag them, of course. But you can at least use your _drone_ to get a bead on their positions and observe their routes. It has a limited range, so I usually go sector by sector, or get somewhere central to cover an equal area. It's a really handy tool to peek behind walls and larger buildings and find where everyone is so I can tag them. And, if you're really lucky, you can even tailgate someone entering a building and get a peek inside.

I do not agree on the term " Hardest ". The only thing to take care of is the guard in the middle. this is the only trickest part of the game while the security board is at PWR station.

How do I approach a settlement if I come by ship? Do I have to land 4-5 km away, then drive closer in my SRV , like until 500m distance or so?

Nice video - but it looks like FDev have fucked things up *YET AGAIN**. Over 400 **BILLION* star systems in the galaxy - and NOT ONE of them spawn these damn AX Power Restore Missions. Not even one. It's fucking PATHETIC! At time of writing, there are currently 39 systems in state 'Thargoid Alert'. Of these, only about 6 have any population. At no station, outpost or settlement in any of these 6 systems do ANY of the mission boards actually spawn missions - ANY missions at all, let alone these AX Power Restore missions. Nothing. Not one. Mission boards are completely empty. Fucking waste of my damn time!!! Pathetic. Fuckers can't even program their own damn game! :(

Does this still work? I find that once you deactivate any alarms or turn off the power the NPCs are on alert and looking for you or am I doing something wrong? Great videos BTW

These covert missions are miserable and honestly, I'm sick of it.

The first step is to find the missions. All of these playthrough videos miss out Step 1. I am looking for these missions but as standard missions. I am going to systems with the major faction in Infrastructure Failure and getting no luck. Am I looking in the wrong place?

It is a bit of an older video, but this type of settlement I learned some tricks getting into the on-foot missions and off course materials. One thing I figured out is to drop the authorization level once you step inside the CMD building. Guards can scan you, but your clean. Giving you lots of opportunity to plan the kill for the two guards. When dead you can scan again for cloning. Much less stressful I'd say ;-)
