  • NB this was taken in the alpha and some elements have now changed! Main one is you cannot "reset" and start again these days. Please bear that in mind!
In this video guide, I'll show you how to infiltrate an anarchy military settlement like a badass ninja assassin! This is a great way to obtain upgrade materials and also get bounty rewards as you go!

I very much like how you "dispatched" that rude pirate on the way to Ortega Defence Complex. You are my all-time favourite ED: Odyssey UA-camr with your clear point by point description on Infiltration and Stealth.

A medium speed encircling attack using your SRV and its rapid fire twin lasers does the job in record time! It also collects the bounties automatically on its own targeting system!

I like how you can power down the people with the charger, I tried headshotting somebody with my pistol but it must have had the wrong silencer as it went loud and didnt kill them outright, I should have just timed my run instead.

These guides are fantastic! So just to clarify, if you dump your SRV at the front of the base, it will still be there when you quit to menu and reload?

Hey Yd, thanks for your videos, really helped me to learn the stealth mechanics and not get my head blown off every time :) I have a challenge for you .. if you have a minute, could you please do a walkthrough / clear for Navarrete Military Camp in Eurybia? It's an anarchy military settlement but a bit tougher than the one in your video. And for an added element of danger, try it during their day time .. it always seems to be bloody day time when I have a kill mission that takes me there! I've cleared it 3 times now, but it takes me forever, I often set off the alarm, and could do with some tips, thank you! CMDR GeorjCostanza

When I'm back on I'll swing by and take a look. What type of missions do you do there?

@@StealthBoyElite IIRC they were takedown/assassination missions from Cowper Dock in Anima. But now I clear the base more as a fun challenge .. the other types of bases are too easy.
Navarrete is a large, medium-security military base, but I'd love to find a large high-security version, though maybe high-sec military doesn't occur in anarchy factions? Anyways, Navarrete is good for stealth practice, though I've set off the alarms more times I can count :) There's an ammunition box and energy outlet in the habs if you need to make a last stand against the horde

@@psychicEgg I took an assassination there. It's a good settlement for practicing stealth and infiltration. You're right, it's not as difficult as when it's high sec (when this is one of the toughest locations to get into due to the sheer number of guards out front).
I recorded some footage of both the takedown and also how I clear the rest of the settlement without detection.
I also recorded how to de-escalate if you get discovered inside and how to best handle the on-rushing guards :)
I will see if I can put this together into a fully edited video. It'll be a good one as a guide for assassinations.

Is there a way to look up what factions have that criminal status? I'm not really too knowledgeable about the different factions.

The unfortunate thing about this is that Anarchy factions in the BGS are getting hit HARD

It's true. I actually find myself trying to run the odd mission for them to attempt to make up for it, I feel sorry for them (and actually, it's in our best interests that they stay put). I think Fdev are being told about the issues with this because I think it goes beyond the idea that hitting anarchy settlements is profitable and goes into other areas too (such as CZs). For now, I try to spread my efforts about so as to not destabilise them too much. Ultimately though, can only play the game as it's designed!

All you guys have eliminated over 50% of anarch systems in the bubble by farming these . Anarchy systems will be gone soon and Fdev needs to change the material grind or console players are gonna be hard up when anarchy systems are gone.

The core design of the Odyssey material grind is broken. There is very little in the way of legal means of obtaining any of these, other than refreshing mission boards for hours. Odyssey has made us all thieves and murderers, and I hate that design. We need more legal salvage, more legal missions on mission boards offering more of these materials to even remotely compete with just annihilating everything that moves in anarchy settlements and looting the place clean.
It wasn't this bad for space materials! Signal sources gave many types of materials perfectly legally, many data scan points were legal, scanning ships and wakes is perfectly legal, materials dropped from a destroyed ship, such as a pirate, were legal salvage, and mining/SRV roaming for raw materials is of course perfectly legal. I didn't have to break a single law to get all of my ship engineering materials. I could if I wanted to, but I didn't _need_ to. That's just not a realistic option in Odyssey, and it's terrible.

I believe FD applied some changes to the BGS to limit this issue a few updates ago. Honestly, the two systems I use periodically remain very much anarchy to this date, several months after this guide was released, and they're still going strong. My guess is there are more than enough anarchies to go around despite perhaps some being eliminated by player activity... But then, that's how the BGS works.
Whilst I do suggest that players limit this activity as much as possible, or spread it about (otherwise they may end up being the snake that eats its own tail), I really do think this isn't "our problem" at all. It's how the game is designed. It's only EDO that has actually presented anarchies as such a viable location for gathering materials that usually involves killing the anarchy NPCs.
If it's an issue, FD need to fix it.

@@spamhere1123 I've spent more time wanted in the last month in Odyssey than the previous 5 years combined. I even managed to get a faction hostile to me because I did about 4 missions in a row against them and ended up having to murder a lot of people in the process. 900Mil credits but I can't buy a suit schematic, I can only risk my life and rep being a burgler. Dumb!
