This song is about addiction. The lyrics "She pulled the shades down tight" and "Smiled when the pain comes" and "Pains gonna make everything alright" Pain = Heroin and its gonna make everything alright. BUT it will not!! Heroin and Fentanyl killed by cousin 14 months ago at age 22. She loved this song and had her entire life ahead of her and did great in school but got with the wrong crowd. R.I.P Jessien
I'm so sorry what happened to your cousin @ the young age of 22. I hope you are Ok, life is illogical most of the time so I stopped asking myself why do things happen the way they do especially to family member's &/or friends who were really nice people?? My partner lost his son aged 26 yrs in 2014 & it's been so very hard to not have him around. R.I.P Jessien
Just discovered your channel and love love LOVE it. It's nice to have a fun, mature reaction. Although it's fun to see a lot of young folks discovering great music for the first time, it's even better seeing a beautiful LADY with actual life experience reacting to wonderful music. Cheers from Tim in So Cal (transplanted from Oklahoma and Texas)
Sometimes you need to hear a song more than once, to marinate in it, let it get inside you, before you can truly appreciate them. I’ve seen The Black Crowes twice in concert and there were great! Keep up the great job! Enjoyed this very much!
@@brianb6024 - Hi Brian. The weekend is almost here but I still have to make it through tomorrow. I’m losing 2 wonderful people on my staff in the morning (layoffs). Of course they have no idea and it’s killing me but I’m trying to convince myself that everything happens for a reason (one door closes / one door opens).
I'll say it again as referenced to other similar comments (respectfully); check out Humble Pie w/Steve Marriott on lead vocals/guitar and Peter Frampton on lead guitar/vocals 1968-71). Chris Robinson noted HP, particularly Marriott, as a major influence in several media interviews.
Wow, Black Crowes! Haven't heard them in years 🙂 they sound really good ! I always thought their sound and style were much like that of The Rolling Stones ( which is a good thing, imo !) 🎵🎶🎸🎹🎸🎼 Thanks for a nice reaction to this great song 👍
@@MarissaM312 Silver Springs was a B-side to one of the White Album singles in 1975. Truly a classic. I think it was written during the Buckingham-Nicks sessions.
YOUR OPINION DOESN'T MATTER TO ME. YOUR WAY OLDER THEN THE SONG/ VIDEO.....IM 66 YEARS OLD AND I STILL ROCK TO THE BLACK CROWES. AND LIKE I SAID, YOUR OPINION DOESN'T COUNT....
Hi Cash (Good Morning!), this was a beautiful song. Not familiar with it, despite 1991 only being 30 years ago! They only got to #70 in the UK chart with this one, so I think the UK is just a tough audience for American bands in a country that produces so many of our own. My first reaction to the video was to think about all the complaints that modern British TV drama productions get these days - too dark and the actors keep mumbling their lines! I think the problem is modern editing suites have large bright screens and huge sound systems that are not replicated on most people's TVs at home. At least I could hear the Black Crowes and they weren't mumbling. In the UK, their biggest hits were Remedy (#24 in 1992), and High Head Blues/A Conspiracy (#25 in 1995). I don't remember those either, so I've no idea where I know the name Black Crowes from. My own music diary 1991 folder contains: Only You - Praise Senza Una Donna - Zucchero Get The Message - Electronic Fading Like A Flower (Every time You Leave) - Roxette Honest Men - ELO Part II Desert Angel - Stevie Nicks Spritual High (The Very Original Mix) - Moodswings
I’m enjoying your music selections. It’s refreshing to listen to songs which do not get played on the radio. Chris Robinson has a great voice, it’s very distinct; lots of character. I imagine he would be good singing any genre. The song was great, but the music video was quite bland. It would have been good if the director was more creative. Maybe break it up with flashes of colour. Nice reaction Cash 🙂
I met Chris Robinson just a few weeks ago in Sydney Australia. What a great guy. Chilled out and totally relaxed.
👍 thanks so much for reacting to the black crowes really like that band so you get a new sub !!! Well done 👍✅

Love the Crowes. Especially this song. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb, Pulse Live 1994. 2nd guitar solo will need you 6:18 a case of wine . . .
This will always make me remember Diane, this song was her. She's been gone to be with the Angels for awhile and she's missed.

The Black Crows were definitely the early 90s! They always reminded me of early 70s Rolling Stones. This is one of their best songs. 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Absolutely a great song. I'm going to their concert in Charlotte this summer

Aren't they a good band, Sam !😀👍
I'm going to their concert this summer in Charlotte in August
One of the most honest songs ever written🤘
Nancy Wilson's (Heart) twin sister??
👍🔥
Great song. One of my favourite bands.
Great Song! Had forgotten about it to be honest. Just added to my playlist. Thank You!
This Band Was the only non grunge/alt Rock band of that era to put out number ones..Remedy Id recommend by them
I'm getting ready to see them in concert in Charlotte this summer! I was rocking to them at 14 in 1990!😂✌️
You like this, then sample Humble Pie w/Steve Marriott on vocals/guitar and Peter Frampton on lead guitar/vocals....1968-1971.
Damn, 1990, it seems like only yesterday. I must be officially old now. A Good band they were, now I'm like Yoda.
Love this song
Is this really your first time hearing this????
You talked about the visuals over every poetically significant lyric.
In the rock n roll world. You would be the Gold Dust Woman
Great reaction by a very insightful and pretty lady, well done!
