I am late where can I watch this where can I buy the DVD
I thought the documentary was very personal - very strong. How nice to see so deep inside and at such a magical era up to now. Big up Stevie Hyper-D and thanks for the backstory and giving this the exposure it deserves.
It was all about The Q Club in Birmingham for me, Back in the day, 40 of us bowling through brum high street on the way to a sick drum n bass rave, Oh, Man... I miss those days, Big up X-Man, That guy smashed the Mic, My favourite MC... "Nobody takes X-Man for a wolly"... Look forward to seeing this film... Talk about the best memories ever... I F****N Loved Drum n Bass and all my mates did... Big up The Mitre Pub in Stourbridge... RIP JPM.🎤🔊🎵👊🇬🇧
Where’s the doc?
33:30 My mom and dad were ravers also from the late 80s started goin raves 1988 at the age of 14 it was really like that back then from the stories I used to hear
Great interview Ron.. There's video footage in the film from a arena I hosted. I used promote Raves in the 90s. Bristol Exposure. I used to run the Drum & Bass arenas at Dreamscape at Shepton Mallet. I reached out to the guys about Gary Clarke as he fimed at many of the events I was involved with as I knew there was film from New years eve. Full horns crew & whistles with Stevie hosting. I also ran arenas at Universe etc. Wrote for Knowledge magazine, lived in a shared house with Dazee, Colin & Rachel (Knowledge) plus Markee ledge. Sure you came to our house many Djs & Mcs did. I'm going to Amnesia in Coventry April. I'll say hi. Keep up the good work and great casts. 🙌
Thank you Ron and big up all the people involved with the film
5-1 And now this! 🎉🎉🎉
Where can I get one of those hyper , jackets ?
You know that 👊🏻
Great interview, very interesting to hear the back story to the making of the film.
Respect to all involved, and bless up Ron ✌️❤️
Wicked interview as always Ron! Where can we watch the doco?
In cinemas, re-released at Picturehouse in March. Where you based?
Be great if they had a screening at aylesbury odeon please bring it
@ Hertfordshire
can't wait to see this, Stevie was a legend. Also hope that this reaches a wider audience outside the heads.
it's a wicked doc - really does Stevie justice and delves into how hard he worked. Incredible archive - all from Dougall's dad apparently..!!! There was a Q&A after with the director & Uncle Dugs so we asked 😂😎 Big Up Hyper each and every 💥💥💥
Great interview Ron but… There is absolutely nowhere that this film can be viewed. The Odeon has stopped selling tickets and there is no way online to stream it.
Re-releasing. Whereabouts are you based?
We need a film on kool FM when is the Stevie hyper rude Boy d film coming out on DVD???
Big up all those involved in collating, directing, making and distributing the amazing documentary and for preserving the legacy of the greatly missed Stevie Hyper D. I really hope the new breed of MCs will be influenced by this as his legacy both live at raves and events and on radio were integral part in shaping the culture of MCing and performance in the Jungle and Drum & Bass scene. Bless up DJ Ron.
Wicked stuff Ron. When is the film out and how do I watch it?
Thank you kindly
@@bhadmarsh815 thank you 🙏🏾
Junglist are you ready…. 💚
Brilliant interview , Shabba D grafted like the UK version of Eminem in a predominantly Black scene at the time and was respected by all due to his ability on mic 🎤, Big up Shabba wishing you nothing but blessings 🙏🏽👌🏾
Wicked. I’ll have to save this one for ron, Ron. It’s late over here now. Respect and bless up the Stevie Hyper D.
Big up bro. 👊🏾
My perception is that the chronology of the music is different. For me, the 91 / 92 to were the rave/hardcore years. Then, through 93, the metamorphosis to jungle happened, and the music became a lot darker. It was formally jungle in 94.
Last time I see Flux was with Groove in his fur coat in Germany when they was passing through Stuttgart n me, Ed Rush hooked up with them for lunch way way back in the 90’s. Respect
Fabio playing my tune live from WMC on Radio One, something I’ll never forget. Big up Fabio❤
Pablo n Grooverider😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What a open n honest interview. I knew he had been having problems but not to this extent. Great interview Ron n Scott, thanks.
30 plus years on, we have the realest, deepest and most creative people of any music scene/genre and that's why I love it! Big up Doc Scott and everyone still doing it proper!
Wow!!!!!! Praise the Lord!!❤
Here comes the drums… Booooyyyyyy.. all now.. What a riddim 💥💥
Great interviews, I really appreciate Hype going deep, both personally and musically... and Ron for helping the journey along! More than anything else, Hype's mixtapes from 93/94 laid out the blueprint for me regarding selection: play right across the board! And as a producer, Hype had too many stone-cold classics, from Shot in the Dark & the early Ganja releases, to devastating remixes like 'Underworld' and 'RIP'... For me, his style was raw and had a nasty edge - a hint of wildness and unpredictability. Big dub bass, ruffneck rhythms, samples with vibes... that's all I've ever needed from this music!
Turno is a legend
Inspired
loved those twill night that was like yo the end of the month i S coming up V records is coming .
Route zero still No1 for me big up Benny L
I played out with hype and Ron at rumble in jungle ... ragamuffins early 95 proper times ... Big up.
The Evelyn Court massive, we smashed 89-91
All due respect.
Amazing interview ❤ I interviewed daddy earl down in his off licence basement once. Top fella. Did an interview with smiley and PJ too, still got the tapes somewhere

Det is amazing to vibe with, so long as the Dj can match the quality output.
Fish was a real meeting point, there and Jaquelin'es before it.
Oh okay ....."kids are aggy on the road cos no one's listening" ...Well what are they saying ? They talk bollocks mostly! They give zero respect yet are entitled and expect it!
