GOES OUT TO DJ SEEKER... XX
DJ SS was the first DJ I heard in Scotland who played proper dark hardcore just before the Jungle label came. He influenced my musical taste right to to this day.
Big up Dj Ron and flinty badman great interview 👊🏽 👊🏽 ❤
I haven’t heard doc Scott Dj much,of course I know his tunes…..he’s more a producer to me……
Eastman always been humble…..one late night while I was working at Burger King in Edmonton ,guess who pulled up in a Range Rover?he gave me a Kool fm sticker plus put me on the guest list for fever…..

Have to get Rebel on Ron! Congo Natty next 😊🙏🏼

Massive love and respect from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Maryland ⛰️ 43 year old Junglist here , 23 years mixing and still at it 😤💪🩸
Between Speed and Swerve I'm pretty sure they did another night called Tempo.
Just watching this back again after attending in person, and what a fantastic conversation! Big respect to all involved for taking time out of their busy schedules to talk about this very relevant topic that is often overlooked in our scene. Artist wellbeing is key if you want to take this music game seriously, no matter what stage of your career you're at.
A Legend, one of the best DJ's ever FACT
Big up Brockie, what a safe geezer. Brilliant set at the Sanctuary reunion. Big up DJ Ron for doing the podcasts, I'm really enjoying them. Respect 🙏
DJ Hype the don, an inspiration and look forward to seeing at Camden Palace Orange in Dec :)
This channel is fascinating from a suburban kid from Texas. I was like one in 2 people in the states that was into jungle. Thanks for sharing the stories
Ahh man this is a great story ❤
Yes yes !! I had the pleasure of opening up for Harriett Jaxxon in Baltimore last year. I gifted her a hand carved , sterling silver 💍 ring that said JUNGLE on it . I had it made when i visited Disney World in Florida. Made my year to be fair
Massive interview. Truly inspirational business here Ron. Big ups from Maryland 🇺🇸
Great stuff. Now where is the BASSMAN!?
The hay day. Let me guess somewhere around 2000?
Sorry i have to say it because they keeping pushing it, but in Islam there is no music allowed. Just prayer recital So none of our wonderful cultures would exist. And no, music is not of the devil. Music is from God, as he created sound, frequency and harmony. It's natural. There is a reason music can uplift us. What's put IN the music is what counts, as we now know how perverse the holders of the music industry are. So while all these paid influencers keep pushing Islam, remember the reality it results in They worship the mood god of Babylon, there is no prophecy of Islam in The Bible
Thankyou for this ❤
Yes, how you both talk about visiting the record store, it was a hub for likeminded individuals all vying for the latest releases, from picking up the latest flyers to purchasing the white labels it was an experience unfortunately the budding dj’s of today miss out on. If you didn’t spend most days in the record stores you would miss the tunes, for dj’s today you don’t have to leave your bedroom to get the latest release and I think people don’t value music like we did/do, being a dj back in the 90’s was hard work but I enjoyed every bit of it. Another good podcast 👍
CAN ANYONE POINT ME IN DIRECTION OF THIS FULL INTERVIEW PLSASE???
I really enjoyed this video !!! 😃 I subscribed ❤ Big up Ron and Nicky!! 💗
Something I will never forget in my life this years sun and bass, Marky and Die playin 70s disco funk, and I saw Frosty just vibing, dancing like a teen. I thought man, you can tell this guy got music flowing in his veins, and so nice to see such an icon of the scene just being himself, just vibing in a different mindstate, like you could imagine a young Frost on the dancefloor, and I felt wow he actually just now went back in time in his head for real! (as english is not my first language I cant really explain it well, but I got a feeling then that was something special. ) Im only 38, and this interview for me was education for real, like modern english history, society, not only music like the whole life. This channel is mandatory for anyone even remotely interested in history, music, the founders of the scene.
Marsh Farm is a posh posh place, I remember takin walks there while I stayed in Leagrave.
01:04:25 he meant 3 EPs on Metalheadz by then.
Another amazing interview, its really special to get to know the artists kinda personally, shocking story, and proof of immense strength! Big up Benny. And respect RON for putting these interviews together.
I have immense respect for him! Everyone in jungle should hear his story, there is a lot to learn from this man!
What a great speech by hype
Some truly wonderful words spoken here. I’m 44, I don’t rave much at all these days. I eat better, I go to yoga, I swim, I ride 100-150 miles a week. Physically I feel better than I ever did. I still love the music though.
❤
I met shabba at westham train station and i had no choice but to tell him he was an inspiration in my life. He was proper safe and chatted to me for 5 mins or so then darted off to go mc at a rave. Big up shabba d
39 years old, still got mint 1210s and jungle drum and bass from 95 onwards. Shabba, skibba, hyper d (r.i.p) bassman, mcmc the rush hour squad.foundations of that scene of music for me. Maximum RESPECT and thank you
Charlie Dark from the Bugz in the Attic!!!
54:13 - why is he wearing a balaclava lol
Technology can be a wonderful thing, but having grown up in the 70's & 80's without a lot of what we have now-a-days...The technology seems to make life harder in some aspects! Technology designed to make communication easier, are actually making communication more difficult for many. Non verbal communication seem to myself so cold, and distant...People aren't developing the proper communication skills, and this has a major affect on the mental status of many. The above marvels on the panel, are just some of the brilliant DJ that allowed us as the youth of the nation to find our own havens of acceptance, and safety. I for one was so fed up with trying to go out for a great night of music, and social interaction...BUT, having to spend the whole night watching my own back, due to pissed up idiots, just wanting to start fights because I'm a big fella. I mean who needs that shit, when you're just trying to have fun? Then I found the dance music movement, and ALL of it's wonderful delights. The people, the music, the venues, and of course the brilliant DJs, DJs with no need to be seen, just the need to be appreciated for their choice of music, and skills in the mix!!! Truly, without the rave scene of the 90's, that I've been in love with for the last 35 years, I honestly don't think I'd still be here! The scene helped so much, with my nerdy self growing up listening to what many considered weird electric music! Big thanks out to ALL the brilliant DJs that I'm sure saved so many lives --- THANK YOU!!! PEACE, LOVE & HARMONY...ONE NATION DANCE TOGETHER!!!😜🤪😜🤪
🧠✨ How many of us really talk about mental health as artists? It’s not always glamorous, but it’s so important for our growth and longevity in the booth. 🎶 Being in this industry is a beautiful journey, but the ups and downs can take a toll. That's why these conversations matter. 🙏 I was proud and honored to be part of a panel with these LEGENDS discussing addiction, overcoming challenges, and how we manage both our mental and physical well-being while pursuing our passions. 🌟 Longevity in this game means more than just talent - it's about staying strong, finding balance, and always evolving. 🔥💪 I hope to do even more work like this for our scene because we ALL need to support each other as we navigate this wild ride. 🌍💫 Let’s keep the conversation going and lift each other up. 🙌❤ Luv&Bass DJ Rap 🎧 #MentalHealthMatters #Longevity #MusicLife #ArtistJourney
I love all of your content ❤ how can i get into these rooms for furture discussions and chats
Yessss, love these and all you put out on this channel
Thank you, more to come!
I'm 49 and I have only been spinning tunes for a couple of years I'm bang in to my breaks but there isn't much love for the tunes but I would love to be out there on the scene ,but have to do my landscaping career
Is there a way that Dj RAP can make the YUKA APP available in Thailand or other countries please 🙏
I'm only in the first 20 minutes though!
So much love respect and thanks to the pioneers on the panel. Couldn't help but keep thinking RANDALL ❤❤❤
Big up
Christ rap ❤ Might fire the 1210,s up and have a carrot stick
