This guy has produced some of the best dark drum and base tunes ever made
Factual
Benny is keeping the old DnB sound alive, truly phenomenal.
Ron.... Big up for these shows. Be great if you could get Ellis Dee and or Swanee on to hear their stories. Both are big favourites of mine, especially Ellis Dee at World Dances and both were big on the jungle scene and both rinsed and contributed to me experiencing some of the best nights of my life :)
What an amazing story! Benny is a warrior. Great discussion about the lack of funding for education and the closure of youth clubs. I lost my job as a youth worker and you can see how new generations need these places.
We really do need them. He’s one of the lucky ones but can you imagine the amount that fall though the cracks!!!
@@LondonSomething1994 They were and still should be essential hubs to our communities, that help the youth emotional, mentally, socially and academically. It saddens me to think nowadays we have millions of kids not being able to eat, the ministry of education wrestling to take away their meals and more families going to food banks. It always gets political. The working class has been punished and we have always struggled to keep those basic rights. Not to mention rent prices and gentrification but all these topics are interconnected.
I make you right in all points, it’s a sorry state of affairs.
@@LondonSomething1994 its dangerous. They blame the youth, the music and the culture which is very rich coming them while their policies and corruption is the root cause of these problems. Big up Ron you're a compassionate man who is considerate of others and true champion of our scene. Nothing but love and respect! At lease we try and do our bit and we never give up even when passing through tough circumstances. We keep trying our best. Bless!
Props to Benny man. One of the most exciting D&B producers of our time
This edition was amazing! Hearing Benny L's journey was so inspiring! I've struggled with a serious disability since 2003 from a major car accident and I can relate so much. It's beautiful to hear how people in our scene have pushed through such challenging circumstances and came out the other side flourishing. Thank so much for sharing your story! I'm sure it's touched so many people. The music has been my medicine. And I don't think I'd be here without it. Much gratitude!!! -Moon
You never know the struggle behind the smile
Very true
No we dont and why its good sometimes to check in on our close ones to let them know you're there xx
Big up Benny's brother. The school of Dillinja is the one from early. Great putting a face to the tunes that we've all heard and love!
Would have love to have heard more on his earlier productions like granulate, low blow etc, as well as more of a talk about TrEs-2b music!! However, this was still a great chat, and learnt a lot more about my favourite producer… big up Bennyyyy
Big ups the Tres fam
Great stuff. Very open and honest from Benny. Big up man.
benny youre a top man, top producer. ever since i heard monsters and low blow back then i was hooked.
Another amazing interview, its really special to get to know the artists kinda personally, shocking story, and proof of immense strength! Big up Benny. And respect RON for putting these interviews together.

Yes Ron luv ya ✌️❤
Thank you…sending love out to you too ☮️❤️☯️
Brilliant interview 😊
I thought it was as well. He was so open about what he’s had to go through. A real soldier and one of the nicest people from the new guard of Jungle & DnB.
Great episode as usual! Any plans to get Dillinja or Loxy on?👀
Thanks and both you listed are great choices...time will tell. 💯
+1 for dillinja and lemon d. Insight into knowledge around hertz, frequency and system building. Enjoying the interviews Ron, thanks

Great interview with a worthy new school king biggups lads!
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it.
Goldie is the Don! Coming up with the name vanta black such a fitting name for a monster of a tune.
We learn something new every day and yes thats why I call him Thanos!!!! 😂
@@LondonSomething1994 😆
Yes yes!
Thanks for the support.
When you were discussing the name Vanta Black, I wondered if you knew where the name comes from originally? It's a black paint/coating with extreme low light reflection, making anything it is used on look like a black hole.. It was in the news at the time of its creation (2014), so maybe subconsciously you'd picked up the name from there.. (Or you knew all that, and I've misunderstood entirely xD )..
Didnt know Vanta Black. Just listened, Dune is a good reference, hold on, deep dark and deadly tune
01:04:25 he meant 3 EPs on Metalheadz by then.
Great show. Request Ratpack for a future one
As Ratpack are a double act, having Mark and Everson in separate interviews would actually be amazing. We’ll see how it goes in the new year. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@LondonSomething1994 even better thank you
get Helen T on as a guest, if you can
Am not sure who that it 🫢
@@LondonSomething1994 she is a producer, much like Peshay, jazzy stuff, look up promised lands volume 3
Who got 4th spot in the end then? 😁
haha...we'll find out ❤🤍
😩🤦♂️😂
