Where did you buy the carpet ? I see the link for Trekwood, but I don't see the carpet listed ? Ty in advance
We ordered ours through our RV dealer in Palm Desert, CA for $300 (including shipping &tax). Because the the newer model of our camper has this same material, we were able to get ours cut to the exact size & have the edge bound at the factory. You can however get this same material from Trekwood RV Parts & Supply online. When you order from Trekwood, you would order the size you need and then you would need to take it to an upholstery shop to bind the edge unless you know how to do that. I know Hobby Lobby sells binding material and other people have used industrial hot glue to adhere it to the edge, however, I've never tried that and I think I would prefer to have it sewn on. Here'a a link to the same material that we installed that's on Trekwood's website. www.trekwood.com/products/1472514/S-O-Carpet-48-x-186-JubilationSoulfulGrey-Yukon They do have other size (and maybe other color) options available. You may want to call them as their website isn't very easy to search and navigate. I used the keyword "jubilation" to search their site as that is the color that we have. Type that keyword in and click through the pages to find other size options. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
Beware: This video does not show DAY/NIGHT shade restringing. only a regular shade. Good tip about using fishing line, though, maybe, depending on how long the line actually takes to deteriorate in the sun.
Thanks for the feedback. You’re actually the first person to make this comment. I didn’t realize that these were not day/night shades. Just Googled it and now it’s plain to see. There are lots of other videos out there with the same title that have these pleated Rv blinds and that’s why I used it. The fishing line is still working perfectly 10 months in.
The video was a lot of help. You was very patient and very good at explaining. Thank you
I need to know what yall do about the overhang from the slide to cover the plastic that’s the slide slides over
The woven vinyl just lays over the slide transition and looks great. Also has no issues when moving the slide in or out.
Dude, first of all welcome to my life with having to cut multiple holes lol Secondly, I just subscribed. Thanks for the video. Finally, has it holding up after 2+ years & did you find it to be accurate????
Too funny! No job ever goes as planned. And thanks for the sub! It’s still great after all this time. Haven’t even had to change out the battery. It is fairly accurate. The pump starts struggling under 20% so I know when I get that low, it’s time to refill.
Any issue with getting the bed lined up back perfectly? Any tips there?
I don’t recall any issues. Just gotta get the bolt holes lined up. Will help if you have someone else there to guide you.
Help I have the Dual shade is it the same process?
It is very similar. Here’s another UA-cam video that shows how to do the double blind. ua-cam.com/video/qbH6FvaYDfg/v-deo.htmlsi=1s55iWGbzlPkDhI1
Really enjoyed your review. I find the exacr same summary of the original sensors.
My wife and I are recent RV Traveler and our jack went out and drop to the bottom ground, yea omg, your video has been super helpful, thank you,,, your battery and wiring look awesome
Great to hear Carlos, so glad our video helped you out! Have fun out there!!
Hi do you need additional clearance or the halo rings to use these? I want to get them but have just enough clearance to get out and reinstall my 30lb tanks with very little room to spare. Thanks for the vid
Hello. Yes, you do need additional clearance to use these. You’ll either need to use the aluminum spacers provided with the sensor or you’ll want to buy the halo rings. Fortunately, either of these will only add approximately 3/8” to the height. I would highly recommend the halo rings over the spacers. The aluminum spacers tend to break and are not great for use with the thin metal support like we have. The halo rings work very well and will give your tank nice support.
Hello my trim doesn’t seam to have those L brackets ? I’m not sure how to get that top trim to be able to remove the broken shades. Any suggestions?
Hmmm. Sorry, I’m not really sure without being there to see it. Were you able to figure it out?
Did the new flooring already have the edging on it and where did you get the flooring?

Thank you for all the great information. Firm believer of always being prepared
how did you determine it was the follower leg and not the lead leg?
Sorry for the delayed reply. It started making a clicking noise when operated.
YOU ROCK!! 🤘
RV Outlets have that same garbage style wiring. I’ve been changing them out for residential. I’d change that cheap connection. Maybe a shallow j box and some wago connectors. Where did you purchase the carpet. I need to change mine out.

We custom weld bike locks to the rear bumper using 1/2 steel for our clients at our shop. Remember locks keep honest people out.
Great idea!
Hi nice viedeo , i have a question , do you know if sensor will work for composite tanks ? Means no metal
Thanks! Yes, the Mopeka Pro Check Universal works on composite tanks. There is a collar that you will need to purchase that adheres to the tank and holds the sensor in place. mopeka.com/product/mopeka-pro-check-universal-collar-set-for-water-flat-bottom-tanks/
Just found this video and love your upgrade. The floor on our slide is linoleum, but it curls and I hate it. This looks like a solution for us. I did not see you activate the slide so I’m wondering if you ran into any problems. It looks like a flush slide which is what we have. Also, was it custom made for your slideout?
Yes, we love it too! No problem at all when moving the slide. It works perfectly and stays flat. It was custom made for our make and model camper. We ordered ours through our RV dealer in Palm Desert, CA for $300 (including shipping &tax). Thank you for the tips! Exactly what I was looking for.
Great video. Where is that remote location on the lake?
Thanks. That is Willow Lake near Pinedale, WY. It is an awesome lake.
If you used butyl tape instead of JB Weld, how would that work? Would you tape to the ring? Flat on the flange of the ring? Or, around and around the depth of the ring? Or would you lay strips around the edge of the hole in the coroplast?
I actually installed a few more sensors on my grey tanks and when I did those rings, I ran butyl tape around the ring then screwed the ring to the coroplast (similar to this video). I then used black Eternabond tape to seal the ring to the coroplast, cutting the Eternabond to fit around the ring. Essentially a double seal. The Eternabond also secured the ring to the coroplast extremely well.
Just letting everyone know who is interested. Jim Bishop passed away this morning. We lost a legend
Thank you for letting us know Alex. It was a great honor to have been able to meet Jim and to enjoy his life’s work. He was one of a kind and he will be missed. 🙏
@ ive met him many times. Actually lived in same town. Ive gone to the castle for over 25years now. He did get health problems years ago, and his sons took over (and have done nicely) but it is sad for him to go. But be assured, the castle continues.
Do you think the Mopeka would work with a permanently mounted tank in an RV, Class A? My gauges are not accurate and I'd love to get it connected to my Cerbo.
It definitely would. They work with all kinds and shapes of tanks even up to 90,000 gallon capacity!
Will it work on a 100lb tank tank
Yes it will.
Great video, thank you! Has the pivot mount been strong enough while driving? I saw some videos that used a Generation 1 volcano mount and put it on a bigger plate for extra strength. I have a generation 2 (actuated) antenna and am trying to mount on our RV roof. Thanks again
Thanks! We take the Starlink dish down before we move. The mount is still in great shape. I also permanently ran the cable which has made life even easier. STARLINK RV ROOF MOUNT PERMANENT CABLE INSTALLATION ua-cam.com/video/CKsdDV-yQzQ/v-deo.html

Just did Angels Landing last week , it is actually not that dangerous. Looks much scarier on video. Did the climb, recording with one hand, and climbed with the other
LOL.. what are the odds? I got rid of my expensive, 5th-wheel toy hauler ($750 mo pmt), and bought a 2013 KZ bumper-pull toy hauler for $7k cash ! Has that nasty, 11 year-old carpet that needs to come out ! How has this woven vinyl held up so far ? ( and good to see you guys.. albeit on video!)
It's marine vinyl! That stuff rocks
Hey Ron! Hope you’re doing well! Ya, this material has been fantastic and is still holding up great. We got ours from an RV dealer, however, I’ve been told by others that they’ve had a tough time going that route. You may be better off getting it from a marine material supplier as they also use this on boats. Good luck with your project!
What brand did ot company fid you buy from?
Is it still holding after 2 years?
It actually has held up, however, it started tearing again beside the repair. I used some heavy duty thread this time and sewed it together before applying additional duct tape and super glue. 👍🏻
When you change a tank, you need some new Mopeka Sonic Grease, isn't it? Are extra sachets included?
You would only need it if/when you need to change the battery in the monitor. Unless of course you have 2 tanks that you keep swapping out. If that’s the case then, yes, you would need more grease each time you move the monitor from one tank to the other. You can buy 4 packs of the sonic grease on Amazon for $9. The other option is to buy 2 monitors and keep one on each tank.
@@EddieAtLarge Thanks for your quick reply. All clear.

Did you have to replace any seals on the propane line leading into the furnace itself? I am wary about removing that without a proper seal replacement. Live in my camper with my finance and soon my newborn.
I did not replace any seals. As I recall, there were no seals to replace on our propane line, just a flared compression fitting as shown in the video. We made this repair 5 years ago and we have not has any propane leaks. If you are unsure about your situation, it may be best advised to contact a professional rv tech.
Strange question: how much does your data points and results change, if you use 23.0 lbs TW vs the 23.1 lbs that you used?
Only by .3 %
Was that cubicle wiring?
Hmmm. I’m unsure as I’m not familiar with cubicle wiring. I believe it was standard 14/2 wire just a different outlet made for the shallow RV walls.
can its connect to alexa? im thinking use it in my house
You actually can. Here’s the link from Amazon. www.amazon.com/Mopeka-Products-LLC-Gateway/dp/B07L5GQ2HZ?dplnkId=cb24e715-8b5a-4b17-a323-90fa768b0c0e&nodl=1
This worked but it took me about 2 hours. The numb nuts at the factory had the gear clamps on backwards which didn't help but I was able to do the repair with just the knowledge from this video. Thanks!
Awesome, glad it helped you out!
Does anybody know of a similar video for gm trucks?
I fish alot deep sea why can't you use 50 or 90 pound braided line
Have you seen my other video where I use 125lb monofilament fishing leader? I use the monofilament as I believe it would hold up better than braided and the thickness of the 125lb test is close to the same as the lift cord. It’s been about 6 months now and the blinds are still all working great with no more broken cords. ua-cam.com/video/JtuiHNOF0cE/v-deo.htmlsi=iPMzhQ0XQOQ6_Nh1
Can this same thing be done for a Day/Night pull down shade?
Sorry, I’m not sure what shade you are referring to.
so 100% of us have the tanks anchored down while in use. How does this device pick up the difference in weight when they're always secured with a hold-down?
The sensors actually use ultrasound to measure the distance to the top of the liquid propane from where they are placed on the bottom of the tank. They do not measure the weight of the tank.
Is Mopeka app temperature compensated
Yes, they do compensate and adjust accordingly for temperature.
Primer got a lil excited 😂
