Why, thank you @Grand Adventure ! I'm sure you will love it up there in the Tonto National Forest. The lake and surrounding area is gorgeous (even on rainy days).
I'm from the Globe/Miami are and have been to the cliff dwellings several times. We used to cross over using the dam road before the bridge was constructed and man was that ever scary! Only one car per cross! I never tire of seeing the beauty of that area, especially with the lake in the background. All ancient, historical dwellings are testament to how resilient the people were who came before us. They knew how to build and survive. Just amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, wow! I’m sure that was quite an experience crossing the dam back in the day. We agree, the area is extremely beautiful and we hope to return someday soon to do some more exploring. So much history there. Glad you enjoyed our video and thanks for watching! ✌🏻
I enjoyed this one. (They’re all good) The cliff dwelling was set up really nice, especially with someone there to fill in all the details. As big as Phoenix is, it is amazing to me that you are finding these places void of crowds. I also like the post added information that pops up. Lots to see in Arizona. Thanks for sharing, Ram
@Laughing Ram Good Morning Ram! Glad you enjoyed the dwellings. It was nice to be able to speak to that gentleman rather than just read about it on an info board. And yes, it was very nice to be there without the crowds. Wait till you see our video on Sedona with the Devil's Bridge that we released last week. You will be squirming in your seat. 😉 As always, thanks for watching & commenting!
Very cool cliff dwellings. Didn't know they were there and that you can get so close. The rig you use for the camera on your truck works really well. Much better than a dash cam.
@MainlightPhoto We loved them if you couldn't tell! There are some in Colorado at Mesa Verde that we want to go see where you can go into them as well. They are bigger and more extensive. Won't make it there this year though. Glad you like the truck cam footage! We are pretty happy with that as well. As always, thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi, Homie. Cool Google Earth zoom! A nice trip through Globe and around the Indian ruins. Roosevelt dam and lake were interesting. I like how you add info to the scene later. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy!
@Jon Miner Hey Jon! Glad you liked the video and the Google Earth zoom! Been trying to add more info into the videos like that. Seems like I always find some interesting facts or history after the fact... Thanks for watching & commenting. Hope you and yours are all doing well. Stay happy and healthy my friend!
Good morning, Ed and Ann!! I agree....these cliff dwelling areas were quite the find. It really makes you wonder how many incredible scenic or historical or quirky things there are that we just blaze on by when driving. I'm glad these archeological areas still exist! And, there was a narrator to provide the anecdotes, to boot! Globe AZ looks like a nice place to spend half a day! Those historical buildings are fabulous! While you passed through that area, did you come across the Salt River and the Salt River Canyon? It is north east of Globe, about halfway between Globe and Show Low. I come to Phoenix in March for my annual work training. This year, I drove down to Tucson, then up through Globe and Show Low....and on to 4 corners before hitting the mountains. That Salt River Canyon was very impressive! I didn't have time to explore, but there were tons of side hikes and dirt roads to save for another visit. Safe travels!!
@campingalan Good Evening Alan! We do wish we would have spent a little more time checking out Globe. That old jail would certainly have been interesting. We did not know about Salt River Canyon. The pics online look pretty amazing though. It's now starred on my maps... Thanks for the tip!
Welcome to Arizona!!! We're about 50 miles away in Apache Junction and me being from Arizona, you'll love it....so much to see. Anyway, I wanted to ask if you've done the solar power install video yet? Thanks and have fun :)
@Russ Jackson Good Evening Russ & thanks for the welcome! I believe we drove right through your town on our way from Globe to Camp Verde. We do love your state! This is actually our 2nd trip through. We were in AZ last year when Covid first hit. I haven't finished the solar video yet as I've been trying to get caught up on our travel videos (I'm now 1 1/2 months behind). We've been moving a lot lately and I have a ton of footage to put together. Some really cool stuff though coming up such as our hike to "The Wave" and "Angels Landing". I have been getting a lot of inquiries about our battery bank and solar install though and I need to squeeze that in. I have the footage and framework started, just need to finish. Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience!
@Double G - John Hey John! Thanks! I use a GoPro Max 360 on a custom mount that I fabricated from aluminum angle. Had to add some extra bracing for support and that's why it looks like a tripod.
@@gregpriddy8595 Thanks Greg! Because this is a 360 camera, all panning is done in the editing process. No need to try to control the camera while driving. Glad you enjoyed!

Great job folks! We look forward to someday getting to that part of Arizona! Beautifully done.

@@EddieAtLarge Thanks so much...it's much appreciated!!!
Great video! What camera system do you use while your truck is in motion? I noticed a tripod looking thing.

Yes, those rolling shots while underway were excellent. I like the panning effect but I hope you’re driving safely! Well done! G

That's cool I'm about to check that out
