I really want a decent PC port with fixes and stuff. A remaster? Yes. But knowing how they handle the remasters, no. They will most definitely ruin it. Even if they somehow manage to release a decent remaster I'm 120% sure there will be something off. Like the lack of the cool atmosphere and whatnot.

Yeah if LCS and CW was on switch that would be amazing.

Is there a way to play this game on windows 11 PC? I keep configuring it but the game is unstable, says it needs directX 6.1 or better. Changing compatibility and screen size doesnt work...

Hot wire cars by cutting up wires 6. Hack into cars. ACTUALLY, you can use your fingers or stylus on the screen to do most stuff including hot-wiring on the NDS. 7. Search trash bins for goodies 8. One of the most underrated protagonists who many misunderstand(because they skip cut scenes due to lack of voice) 9. In case you're driving, and you fall into water, you can break the windshield to get out of the sinking vehicle. 10. You can loot vans from other gangs, and trucks from ammunition to get free weapons and drugs to sell. 11. GTA Chinatown Wars remains to be the only GTA game where we can decapitate people using chainsaws and other powerful guns(GTA 3 had no chainsaw, though it had decapitation) 12. Huang's phone has not only email system, but you can also order weapons from Ammu-Nation and have them delivered to your closest residence. 13. You can literally sign the deeds before buying houses by using a stylus or with your fingers(only on NDS). ⭐⭐⭐But most importantly⭐⭐⭐ : 1. You can get rid of wanted levels by getting rid of your pursuers. Yep, if you want to lose the police fast, just ram their cars and get them off your tail. 2.. Drug deals. Yeah. DRUG deals(they're fun actually). 3. Mini-games here and there like: operating cranes, tow vehicles, trashing car parts, dragon dancing, destroying locks, arming bombs manually, setting up tracking bugs, etc. 🙂Minor features like: 1. NPCs reacting to rain(umbrellas or running for shelter) 2. Lower chances of police detecting your activities by destroying CCTVs all across Liberty city 3. The police car monitor from gta 4, from which we could track criminals is back, though not as advanced. 4.In paramedic missions, sometimes patients may lose pulse. You have to bring them back to life 5.Spam emails on Huang's phone 6. You could burn people by burning out your car tires on them 7. Hide drug caches in safe houses 8. Give people tattoos. There might be more, but features like these make GTA Chinatown wars very much different from other gta games. I for one enjoyed it a lot😁

I'm really hoping that Huang will make an appearance in GTA VI. I can imagine him sitting down with Jason at a Bean Machine in Vice Beach and sipping on a latte while casually giving him some advice on how to tackle his issues.

I know the game is terribly unoptimized but I always wished rockstar would’ve ported it to mobile or switch.

A "remaster" isn't really needed. Just a port to the new stuff, and maybe an update to the pc version that makes it not terribly optimized. Maybe get the guys who did rdr1 on pc with 144hz. That would be cool

I love how PlayStation players can’t play gta 4 on there ps4 and 5 😂 and saying rockstars at fault even tho it’s Sony for not giving them backwards compatibility 🤣. I get to play it on my series X and One. And it’s much smoother

What Grove Street Games did to Tommy Vercetti's face is a crime against humanity. Have you heard the story of how they went about the development? Grove Street got off light and they haven't gotten the hate they deserve. Bunch of incompetent losers.

Gta 4 was supposed to be remastered when the definitive was released but since the trilogy received so many negative reviews and backlash, rockstar decided to cancel it for further notice. It would've been nice to play older playstation games on a next gen console also I enjoyed 5 though but I haven played 4 yet

Feel like 5 was a game - it had good story but was like watching a fast and furious franchise, whereas 4 was so grounded- the city was real and man, the mods for it till date are the best, some mods like liberty rush- potential grimm really bring the city to life, it really had so mmuch content... im glad they didnt butcher it by releasing a remaster, but wish they optimised it better. The only thing pisses me off is the bike driving mechanics, The driving is rewarding for cars and the crash physics is so much fun, hand to hand combat was golden - the story is just so good including the fact you can date girls get bonuses and call yo friends for all em bouses. I really dont think gta 6 is gonna be as grounded as 4 just because how much of a money milker gta 5 was. I feel ots gonna be all about the bling and a fun game but story wise it will not feel real, and its also the tone they might go towards too considering its fkn vice city. Colorful vibrant and fun. Gta 4 story really was a cinematic expirence, their pacing and narration was so good. And genuinely there is soo much stuff to do and feels like eternity playin the 4 and the EFLC feel like a whole another complete game. unlike gta 5 where once your done with the story mode all you have is online, which is fun but just répétition.

Me watching gameplay of this video game on UA-cam makes me sad I want to play this game and max payne 3 on my ps5 so badly

Get yourself some decent pc, install mods like icenhacer and enjoy "remastered" gta4 in 4k 144hz. Throw your consoles out of the window and regret you haven't done that before.

iv never had to grieve for a videogame character ever, i never felt something that arthur made me feel for a video game character, never so immersed in the story ad tied to the character.

Rockstar never made a remaster of GTA 4 because it was the start of the HD universe. Before all of Rockstars' games were 3D.

Because the missions were mostly the same... drive/chase/kill. The characters were dull (with the exception of Bernie). More use of aircraft & boats would've relieved the tedium. The Ballad of Gay Tony was what the main game should've been like.

I am hopeful for the 18th or 20th anniversary there will be a remastered and PS4 drop, I shall remain optimistic about the best GTA game in the series.

I got tired of waiting lol so i hooked up the 360 a while back and finally beat this game 🤣

What I find weird, is despite the arcady nature, and the game's weird, outwordly aesthetics, GTA2 has a fully fledged out lore of its world. You can get a lot of information of its world, products, the gangs, even the weapons just by listening to the Radio. There's actually an ad for one of the guns, in the game, S-UZI, which I find a great touch, especially for 1999. I'm not sure if any other game did such a unique method of world building before GTA2. Also, the radio stations have a lot of bangers, one of the musics would fit perfectly into Cyberpunk 2077's OST.

Honestly this is how GTA Online should have been. Factions already existed in the game, would of been neat working with them all in more than just contact missions.

GTA 2 was honestly a better game than GTA III personally. I guess I can say I had the luxury of playing the PS1 version of the game and absolutely loved it.

Even if it gets ”remastered” it’s going to be one of those shitty definitive editions that Rockstar put out a few years ago.

I recently picked up an old red PS3 just so I could play GTA4 again.

Rockstar don't care about the games everyone loves that made them successful. They only care about the next money machine.

GTA 2, GTA San Andreas and GTA 5 are the best games in the series.

GTA 4's remastered edition just needs performance improvements. And whatever fusionfix gives you. (And if possible, native Linux support, PS4 support and PS5 support and more support in general.) I think the windows version should be ported to vulkan if possible. That immediately makes linux run it like a native game using PROTON and sometimes even better performance than windows. I think all games should ditch directx and use vulkan.

Yeah, it wasn't remastered. Personally, I think that Rockstar did enough by making it available via PC/Rockstar player along with GTA 4 stories included. It's cheap enough to purchase in the UK via Steam, CD-Keys etc. Graphics are better on a high spec PC anyway. It is what it is really for what it is, so to speak. Is it really worth a remake for what it is...I don't think so, it's okay. Roll on GTA 6.

GTA5 did not get ported ASAP. It got ported to PC way after release.

I was just thinking about buying the GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas 'remastered' on PC. But the game I'd be really eager to play is GTA IV remastered. Surely it can't be that hard for them to do?
