      Hey. Thx for the comment. If you mean the chorus of the song I used for the demo, thx so much. My band literally tracked that song last night! It’s gonna be on our debut record next year.
      I think the mateibox is totally set up to work perfectly in this scenario. Enjoy.

    I have just got mine. I've got my head round setting up and saving presets mainly. In stomp mode I think you can use a single control footswitch to alternate between effects but I've not sorted that yet. Getting the expression pedal to go between volume and something else is also a struggle. I'll get there.
    Some great ideas here for both mode if use and getting sounds.
    A huge thanks. And another for not being yet another metal widdler!

      Hey. Thx for the comment. You can indeed use a single footswitch to alternate between effects it’s just tricky when you want to that with multiple different footswitches. It’s one of those things that’s very hard to explain verbally. Basically I was trying to use the footswitch assignments to setup scenes within a single presets in stomp mode. But it’s actually just not really possible. Like on any effect unit. Very hard to explain.
      The expression pedal is manageable once you get it figured out. But like you said it’s not super intuitive.
      Really glad you liked the video. The last video about this is out Thursday. It deals with suing external pedals in the loop.

    Thanks for this great video! I’ve watched this one and the one before it. Here’s my question: do you think the Matribox is better than the NUX MG-30 in terms of the tones, sounds…. I’m more interested in lush stereo reverbs, delays, tremolos than I am in super heavy distorted sounds. What are your thoughts? (I already realize that the Matribox wins from the point of view of functionality, gigability). Thanks for all your great work!

      Hey. Thx for the comment and the kind words very much appreciated. So I’ve not actually tried any of the MG series modelers and this I can’t answer that. But I have the Cerberus and the Trident. They are both fantastic units. I can’t say I hear a discernible difference in quality of amp sounds between the this and the trident but if I had to make a call on the effects side of things I’d say this has more options and the trident has less options but the ones it has are Marginally better. But really only a small amount. This and the Trident are both great. I’d make my decision solely based on playing experience. The trident is more hands on and tactile and thus is more technologically led. Hope that helps.

    Hey thanks for the tutorial video. Can you tell me why you put your IR last in your chain please. Kind of new to the set up.

    • @TheGuitarEffect
      @TheGuitarEffect  25 днів тому

      Hey man. Thx for the comment. The reason you put the IR last in the signal chain is it replaces your cab in a real signal chain which is the last thing. Hope that makes sense.

      @@TheGuitarEffect Thank you for the information. I can't hear my backing tracks through my studio monitors with this Matribox II Pro. Is there a special setting? And when I make a preset, add a volume pedal, the volume pedal doesn't work. Any Ideas? Sorry to bother you. I know you are very busy.

    Hello. I think this is a very complete platform also for live use... I'm working with it since one week and today tried to put an external boost pedal in S/R loop and enabled it in effect chain.. Unfortunately I feel a noticeable hum noise when I activate the S/R block. I make the same job on a Nux Trident unit and it works fine, without noise.. Did you tested S/R ? (just to know if it is a general issue or the problem is in my unit). Thank you

      @TheGuitarEffect  Місяць тому +1

      Hey. Thx for the comment. I haven’t actually tried the S/R yet but it’s what my next video on the unit will be about. That’s really odd with the boost pedal. Have you tried moving it around in the chain? Is the power isolated? Also maybe check the send and return levels since it’s a boost. If either are too high it could cause some noice. Thx.

      @@TheGuitarEffect Hi ,thank your for your reply. Sonicake told me to set "Mix" value to max. Madi it and this reduced just a little the noise. I tried to connect S/R only with a patch cable (without any effect). I tried to separate the power supply. I add a noise filter on power supply. I moved the S/R block in another position of the chain. Only before the Amp block the noise stops (but boost have no effect in this position). Still the noise is present....... I noted that noise is directly connected to the gain of Amp (drive) and effect (like Screamer). It is higher with Hi Gain Amps. With clean amps I have no noise...

      How essential is the software? - of course it looks very easy but I’ve only got an iPad 😂 I agree with the exclusion of drum machines. A lot of units even back in the day seemed to insist on it! Unnecessary

    • @TheGuitarEffect
      @TheGuitarEffect  2 місяці тому +1

      Hey. I think the software makes programming it marginally faster. But it’s absolutely not necessary. For me the drum machine sort of brings the toy element to this. I’m not mad about that.

      Would this be a bit too much for a bedroom guitarist?
      I'm currently using a zoom g3xn into a small 20w practice amp.
      I've been thinking about upgrading to a powered fr speaker and using a modeller that supports ir's.
      Would the amp sims and quality of the effects on this be much better than what I've got?

    • @TheGuitarEffect
      @TheGuitarEffect  Місяць тому

      @@madkoster Hey. Thx for the comment. I suppose a big part of the answer to that question is what practice amp have you got?
      Al so if your amp has an effects loop would could get a new modeller and plug it into the FX return and see how you feel about the sound before you invest in a new FRFR cab.
      In terms of will this be better than your G3Xn. It would almost certainly have higher fidelity amp tones for sure but in my opinion that is a theoretical advantage only. If you are happy with the sounds on the Zoom unit then that's what matters. If you want new options cause you feel the zoom is lacking then upgrade.
