Hey Cathal. So I’ve been thinking about it and the Moller is the Alberta and a boost as algae as I know. So if I got the new version of this with the two mudhoney sounds in it, I’d have Boost OD, light distortion and heavy distortion. Pretty stellar. 🤔
I have the same 1st era old logo mudhoney AND the newest DANISH MADE mudhoney. I got the1st one that came to Greece in 1996 and still have it. The new one has only one difference. Is a bit LOUDER. And it does exactly whta its name says MUD and HONEY
If it's good enough for the late Gary Moore it's good for all of us. I've bought that one and the dual mudhoney. There's just no amp that this pedal won't work with and sound amazing
Is it the EXACT same? Have you ever compared them? I had the Mudhoney 1 and regretted selling it big time but was also hesitant as I assumed the circuit might be a bit different having been crammed down to fit 2 in the one box.
@@whatsallthefuzzabout is it exact? eh i am sure it's the same parts jsut smaller cuz of SMT and I have never actually played an original :) I like it just the same
The current mudhoney ii version is super useful live, it’s just two of these in the same footprint, no idea if the sound is any different from older versions
My pedal for all the divide of everything gigs
Hey Karl. Really? Did you use it with the boost on or off?
@@TheGuitarEffect off I found the boost added too much in mins. Almost turning it to fuzz
Yeah I get what you mean. It gets a bit muffy with the boost on. I think I’m a good way though.
Had one years ago and regret selling it. The Alberta was brilliant too, especially paired together

@@TheGuitarEffect yeah definitely some great tonal options in a reduced space and less tapping ☺️

Hey. Absolutely great comments I particularly love the last line of it. That’s gas brightened a dull morning. Thankyou

Hey. Thx for the comment. I didn’t know Gary Moore used it. I’m gonna get the dual one for sure. It’s a killer sound.
@TheGuitarEffect glad to be of a help.
Cheers
Big fat distortion... That's what I like man!
Yup. It’s the most satisfying sound there is I reckon.
see if you can find a mudd honey 2 it is 2 in the same pedal so you can switch between warning you can not stack them :) very cool enjoy
Hey. Thx for the comment. Yeah I’ve just become aware of that. Definitely going to pick one up.

I genuinely have mo idea. If I can get my hands on the double one I’ll do a comparison

Hey. Thx for the comment. I’ve just become aware of it. I think that’s the one to go for. Looks great. Able to do both sounds.
Best models have the dinosaur logo on it, I guess.
Hey. Well the first ones have a dinosaur in them. I’ve no idea if they’re the best. I think that’s kinda subjective anyway right?
That and a micro amp from Dunlop
Micro amp before or after?
@@TheGuitarEffect after from what I remember
stretch your strings...
Hey. Thx for the comment. Yeah I did stretch them. It’s a problem with the nut. I need to change it.
